"I enjoyed this charming little hotel. There were a few drawbacks: there was barely any toilet paper in our bathroom and there were some weird smells in our room. Other than that, the hotel was charming and had a nice pool. They organized a complimentary Chinese new year dragon dance. The hotel was responsive. Would recommend for a pleasant stay."

"As a returning guest of this hotel, I was a bit disappointed with the minor shortcomings that I felt shouldn't have happened. Firstly, the shower bracket couldn't hold the shower head for long and I was worried it would fall and hit my head while showering. In addition, the shower water flow was also quite disappointing because the water flow in the bidet and sink was fast and seemed normal. Secondly, the air conditioning was funny. I don't know what was wrong, but the temperature was still at 24.5-25 degrees Celsius even though I tried to lower it several times to 16, but it still returned to 24.5-25, which caused the room temperature to be quite warm and sometimes hot. Thirdly, the two fans in the gym were very dirty and dusty, plus the ventilation in the gym was poor. I really hope that this hotel, especially the maintenance department, can check and improve anything that should be done, both in the room and in the gym. Anyway, the front desk and restaurant staff were friendly and polite as usual. Congratulations and thank you for your services."

"Everything is good..the room is clean and comfortable, the view is beautiful. The beach is behind the resort. Only the elevator had a big problem. It was too slow, and we waited 20 minutes but still couldn't go down. Full of people. We had to use the stairs to go down to the 15th floor."

AamychowkwMy last stay at Ascott Gurney Penang was in Oct 2024. I travelled with a girlfriend and it was my first time staying. The experience was fantastic (the room view, the service provided, the cleanliness of the room, the pool and gym facilities etc) thus, this time I brought back my family and my in-laws to stay again (3 rooms).
Was slightly disappointed this time.
1. The rooms assigned this time were not great, all low floors and the views were restricted (my last stay the room view was superb!)
2. There were lots of birds in the swimming pool area and I think the hotel should do something about it. There were droppings on the floor around the pool and after swimming for a short while, I felt uncomfortable as I could see something floating in the pool as well so I left….
3. On the 2nd day morning, servicing staff promptly made up my room but not on the 3nd day morning. I was out between 10am to 1pm and was surprised to see that the room was not cleaned. I had to personally go down to the front desk to make the request to clean up…
But overall, the service was still good, staff were courteous and helpful in general.
I recommended Ascott Gurney to my husband this time, but he was quite disappointed with Ascott Gurney Penang, especially with reasons listed above and still prefer The George Penang where we stayed in end 2023 instead.

CChrisLSLWe had a night stay with 3 rooms including breakfast. Check in is smooth and receptionist is friendly with smile. Kids had enjoyed the swimming pool. There’s just a few steps to walk out to the beach. Alongside has newly opened cafe and restaurant. Breakfast has variety of choices but you need to queue if you are going at peak hour after 9am. Yes, queueing is the most unbearable part. I have never encountered such experience before you need to queue and split table for having breakfast which kinda spoil of mood. Staffs easily get annoyed when you asked for help. Not sure if I am bias but the treatment seems like a bit different compared to the white. However, the food is the salvation and nasi lemak is the signature that you must try. Cleanliness is a big issue that need to be improved. Location is not really strategic if you wish to explore Georgetown and find nice local food. Overall, it’s an okay choice for us for this stay.

Tuttavia la mia esperienza negativa che ha rovinato tutto l'umore è stata quando mi hanno addebitato il check-out posticipato senza informazioni sulla ”tariffa” del check-out posticipato. Di solito alloggio in tutti gli hotel a 5 stelle a Feringghi (ho già provato tutti gli hotel a 5 stelle a Feringghi) anche a parte Feringghi gli hotel a 5 stelle non ti fanno pagare 1 ora per RM54 come Lone Pine. MI HANNO ADDEBITATO RM108 per 2 ore di check-out posticipato dalle 12 alle 14 per l'hotel Marriott. Questo è inaccettabile.
Voglio sottolineare il servizio di un hotel a 4 stelle come il tuo che non consente il check-out posticipato, deve essere puntuale alle 12, deve essere informato in anticipo l'ospite. Ho fatto il check-out posticipato fino alle 14 perché prima mi metto in camera. Di solito la receptionist chiama dalle 12.30 alle 13 per informare se è possibile o meno il check-out posticipato e se è disponibile la tariffa. MA PER LONE PINE. NON chiamare e NON dare informazioni sul check-out posticipato. Quindi ho pensato che fosse ok come altri hotel a 4-5 stelle e per gli hotel sotto ”MARRIOT”. Mi dispiace perché non ho ricevuto informazioni sulla tariffa per il check-out posticipato.
Il mio consiglio è per le persone che di solito hanno familiarità con i servizi a 4-5 stelle. Questo hotel non li fornisce. Riconsiderate questo hotel che non vi consente di effettuare il check-out posticipato dopo le 12:00. Dovete partire prima delle 12:00. ALTRIMENTI VI FARANNO PAGARE RM54/ORA.

HHanyiUn'esperienza di soggiorno molto positiva, la colazione è molto ricca, l'hotel è situato sulla famosa spiaggia di Batu Ferringhi a Penang e c'è un autobus gratuito per la città.
🌹Quando ho fatto il check-in, ho incontrato una bellissima signora che parlava cinese. Il servizio era cordiale e premuroso, facendo sentire le persone molto amichevoli, il che ha contribuito alla meravigliosa prima impressione dell'esperienza del check-in.
🌹L'addetto alla camera RUBEL è stato molto coscienzioso e premuroso durante i tre giorni in cui siamo rimasti, coordinando e risolvendo tempestivamente i problemi che abbiamo riscontrato. Sebbene non potessimo comunicare in una lingua, si è preso la briga di utilizzare un software di traduzione per comprendere tempestivamente le nostre esigenze. Pulisci sempre la stanza in modo tempestivo, mantienila ordinata e ordinata e tratta gli ospiti calorosamente per far sentire le persone a casa! Davvero complimenti!
Spero che l'hotel aggiunga più personale di servizio che capisca il cinese, perché dopo l'esenzione dal visto, molti cinesi verranno in Malesia e Penang. Grazie!

CChun Wei TangExcellent resort, with a lot of activities to enjoy especially for the young kids. Room is very comfortable , great for a short staycation. Staffs are friendly and always greet you with smiles too. Location wise it is on the best location in Batu Ferringgi, walking distance to some hawker food and McDonalds is just across the street. Will definitely come back again !

La stanza che abbiamo prenotato era molto spaziosa. Perfetta per la famiglia. Da trip.com, ha detto che potremmo avere un letto extra grande di 3 m. Purtroppo non è successo. E 'un letto di dimensioni re 1.8m.

DDonnacfleeNicely decorated resort. Very laid back. Extremely friendly and helpful staff that tried their very best to accommodate customer needs. I recommend that you ask for a room downstairs if you are staying in a family suite for four persons. This type of rooms are more spacious and have an outdoor seating area and direct access to the deck. Must also try the cafe, Biru Buru. Loved the atmosphere.

KKanitthaLa stanza puzzava di muffa quando ci sono entrato per la prima volta... credo a causa della moquette... l'hotel è piuttosto vecchio ma è così vicino alla spiaggia e si può vedere il mare dal balcone
La stanza non era molto pulita, specialmente nel bagno c'erano delle macchie nere e la doccia del bidet era rustica e l'aria condizionata non è fredda come avrei voluto
La piscina chiude alle 6.30 / troppo presto
Il personale alla reception è molto gentile
La colazione costa 30 rm / la varietà del cibo è accettabile rispetto al prezzo ma la pulizia è così terribile come ho visto le tovaglie erano sporche come se non le lavassero mai e c'era anche cacca di uccello sulla sedia
Nel complesso è accettabile se vuoi stare vicino alla spiaggia con il prezzo economico ma non aspettarti la pulizia
