Had high expectations of my stay and it was completely fulfilled and I was impressed. Overall welcome and ambience was just right being professional and sincere. Our bed room, junior suite after upgrading with extra fee, was reasonably sized although the bathroom with the layout of the door made it difficult and slightly dangerous to enter / close behind guest. The spa village was busy but understandable; it felt clean and very updated overall so there was less of a concern on hygiene which is understood can be difficult to maintain standards. The breakfast room, choices and service was fine as expected so it’s worth signing up for. Although by day 2, it was hard fo imagine having another breakfast so possibly having breakfast for one day as an option would be good. Would have liked to have body lotion in bathroom as I had to rely on the one available in the spa village… and with 2 nights stay, toiletries were not replenished … Always a nice welcome when soft drinks / mini bar is complimentary ; although it doesn’t cost a lot to fill a fridge but small gestures like these make guests feel more welcomed Thanks for a great stay; would like to take my 80 year old mum here sometime in future as she would enjoy it tremendously !!

Mia moglie e io abbiamo avuto il piacere di rimanere qui per due notti, il 21 e 22 giugno. Dopo aver visitato Bath in numerose occasioni negli ultimi 38 anni abbiamo fermato in vari tipi di alloggi, questo è stato di gran lunga il migliore che abbiamo trovato e sarà utilizzato di nuovo. Sebbene sia un buon passo nel centro della città ci sono quattro servizi di autobus che più o meno passano attraverso l'hotel. Le camere sono deliziosamente decorate e le letti molto confortevoli, la sala colazione era in un conservatore guardando fuori dal giardino posteriore. La colazione è servita da due persone molto allegrie, e il cibo che ha da solo è stato molto delizioso e ben presentato, in un fantastico inizio.

Das Hotel liegt etwas abseits des Zentrums an einer stark befahrenen Straße. Daher sollte man ein Zimmer zum Garten wählen. Dieser ist groß und mit schönen Bäumen bewachsen und bietet einen Pavillon, in dem man verweilen kann. Das Haus stammt aus der Mitte des 19. Jhd. und strahlt ein wenig diese Zeit wider. Die Zimmer sind alle unterschiedlich eingerichtet und nostalgisch gestaltet ohne dabei einem bestimmten Stil anzuhängen. Die Räume sind ausreichend groß und haben schöne Bäder. Die Betten sind bequem, unsere Matratzen waren ziemlich neu..Die Dielenböden sind dick mit Teppichboden belegt. Die Treppen sind eng und der Zimmerzugang bisweilen etwas verwinkelt. Die öffentlichen Flächen sind dagegen sehr klein. Der Aufenthaltsraum, der gleichzeitig als Bar dient, hat zwei kleinere Sofas und fünf Sessel. Bar und Rezeption werden von einer Person bedient. Es gibt diverse Getränke, jedoch kein gezapftes Bier oder Cocktails und Mixgetränke. Der Frühstücksraum ist nicht viel größer und die Gäste müssen in drei Schichten von je 45 Minuten frühstücken. Das Frühstück ist englisch, auf Wunsch vegetarisch oder kontinental, es gib Obstsalat, Yoghurt und Fruchtsäfte. Wir hatten vorgebucht, denn das Hotel war voll (Oktober). Es ist als 5* Hotel klassifiziert, was ich nicht ganz nachvollziehen kann, denn da kann man eigentlich mehr erwarten. Die Zimmerpreise sind gerade noch akzeptabel, wenn man das ohnehin höhere Preisniveau von Bath zugrunde legt.

Attended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful. We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest. The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss. One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go. Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109. La villa è una bella villa, ben decorata, con 8 posti a parcheggio gratuito, e la nostra stanza è situata sul pavimento con una grande bagno a tela con doccia bagnata. La camera da letto è molto pulita con un sacco di magazzinaggio, tè e caffè, un fan se necessario e un letto estremamente confortevole.L'opzione di colazione cucinata è estremamente buona con cereali, yogurt e piccole pasticcerie offerte anche nella sala da colazione. Il caffè è anche eccellente.Anche se questa villa non ha un curatore di notte e si deve lasciare entrare con un codice chiave , quando abbiamo avuto un piccolo problema la prima notte che è stato affrontato direttamente. Il mio unico negativo è dove è posizionato e probabilmente applicabile solo se viaggiate da soli e volete camminare nel Bath . La villa è su una collina e per entrare nella città si dovrà attraversare la ferrovia attraverso le stesse vecchie scale di pietra che portano a un tunnel e poi il ponte (che è gratificantemente piatto). Certamente non piacevole nel buio o se come me si combatte con le scale . A causa di questo abbiamo prenotato una stanza accessibile e non eravamo consapevoli che sarebbe stato così difficile camminare in città.Suggerisco se avete problemi di camminare che si conduce e cerca di trovare un parcheggio .

L'uomo che presumo sia il proprietario/mangiatore è così bello e utile. Dormito bene. Ha parcheggio. Vicino a un percorso di autobus per viaggiare nel centro. L’unica cosa che ha perso la quinta stella è stata la doccia, perché la pressione dell’acqua era bassa, quindi ci ha voluto un po’ di riscaldamento e poi non c’era molto potere per lavare con, e il letto era un po’ turbato, ma è quello che è.

Excellent location, right in the centre of the city and within walking distance of everything. We weren't bothered at all by noise outside (although we had the windows closed as it was February!) and the apartment overlooked a quieter section of the city anyway - a couple of cafes and the bus stops but no bars/clubs. The standard apartment had everything we needed - well equipped kitchen, very welcome Cowshed toiletries, comfortable bed, great to have a seating area and tables too. A couple of small downsides: Slight smell of drains from the bathroom. Water pressure, particularly on the sink was extremely low. The doors rattle loudly any time someone opens the communal door to the corridor. (This wasn't just ours, we could hear all the doors doing it when we came and went.) We fixed this on night two by wedging some folded cardboard in the door jamb. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Bath.

Abbiamo prenotato l'hotel per il nostro anniversario, era un buon hotel in una grande posizione. La camera era bella e spaziosa e la doccia era grande. Sarebbe stato grande se avessero un bagno. Siamo stati molto delusi per il colazione che aveva solo 4 articoli da scegliere. Per un hotel Hilton che è inaccettabile e non volevano nemmeno fornire nulla come hanno detto che è un set di colazione. Questo non è stato comunicato quando prenota, quindi solo sapevamo quando siamo arrivati al colazione al mattino.

Hotel carino che ha reso il nostro viaggio e la sera molto meglio. Inizialmente ha prenotato un altro hotel ma era così sporco e il personale era così brutto, doveva andare e trovare un'alternativa tardi alla notte. Grazie per aver ospitato la nostra prenotazione di ultimo minuto! Il letto è molto confortevole, accogliente e accogliente personale.Tornerebbe se ci fosse un nuovo bagno :)
