. Halekulani Okinawa is an outstanding resort that delivers exactly what you expect from the brand: impeccable service, exceptional comfort, and a deep sense of calm. The service is flawless—attentive, warm, and genuinely thoughtful without ever feeling intrusive. The rooms are extremely comfortable, beautifully designed, and perfectly suited for a slow, restorative stay. The surrounding nature is stunning, and the resort feels well integrated into its landscape, which adds a lot to the overall experience. We stayed in December, and despite it being winter, the atmosphere was still incredibly pleasant and charming. The main pool does not operate in winter, but honestly, it doesn’t feel like a drawback at all—there is so much more to the property than the pool. Breakfast deserves a special mention: it is excellent, with high-quality ingredients and great variety. I highly recommend trying breakfast in different restaurants during your stay, as each offers a slightly different experience. Overall, Halekulani Okinawa is a refined, serene, and beautifully executed resort. A perfect choice for those who value comfort, service, and atmosphere over loud entertainment—even in the winter season.

The check in was very easy, as was finding the location along of the villa on the beach. The condo/villa is absolutely stunning with a view of the ocean that cannot be beat. We appreciated the gorgeous sunsets, the pool and soaking tub on the 2nd floor balcony, and the outstanding views of the beach and island (Yojima) in the distance. The beds were some of the most comfortable we slept in while in Japan. We deeply appreciated the amenities - breakfast and food delivery (sausages, veggies, fresh bread, eggs and drinks) upon arrival, and found the layout of the house was fantastic for our family of 5. With two sleeping areas downstairs (kids), and an upstairs master bedroom (parents), we had MORE than enough space. One thing we would have liked about the location description online is an understanding that there is VERY little near by in terms of restaurants, convenience stores, etc. Depending on the weather, not much is walkable within 15-20 minutes. We ate at the Taco Rice restaurant, and walked 30 minutes to a local supermarket, and we drove the other places we needed to go. Also, the general impression we got from the website was that you can access the beach directly from the villa - sort of a, ”walk out to the sand” idea. You cannot. There is a 6-foot wall that separates the bottom floor of the villa with the actual beach area (needed for water level rising during storms, we get that :))... but there is no way down without jumping, nor a path to the beach (from our #3/C Villa, at least). We ended up jumping down the retaining wall using their small gate, walking around to a local business area that had a clear path, and accessing the beach that way. This was fine, don't get me wrong. Also, while the view is spectacular (and it really is), there is a TON of rebar from a former construction project (unfinished, we asked around) that sticks up out of the ocean at low, or extremely low tide (both of which we experienced while visiting - the extremely low tide happens each new/full moon, we were told). When this occurs, the beach stretches for 550 yards. We were able to ”walk and explore” (careful of course of the coral!), but for 1.5 days, we had a view of tons and tons of rebar sticking straight out of the sand, that stretched for 100s of yards in each direction. Again, this did not ruin anything, but it would be nice to know when booking a pricey room. I think the views are outstanding, given the timing you take the photo :) Overall, we would likely not stay again for the price, but it was a relaxing and splurge-y way to get that Okinawa sunset in at the end of long trip (5 weeks) in Japan. We are grateful for this adventure and my shared experience in this review is simply to help families understand more about the property. We traveled in mid-July. Thank you!

Ho avuto il piacere di soggiornare in questa struttura per quattro notti e sono rimasto colpito dalla qualità complessiva dell'esperienza. La posizione centrale dell'hotel a Onna, Okinawa, è un vantaggio, offrendo un facile accesso a negozi, ristoranti e attrazioni culturali. Rappresenta un'ottima base per chi viaggia in auto. La camera era spaziosa, moderna e dotata di angolo cottura e lavatrice, il che la rende particolarmente comoda per soggiorni più lunghi. L'arredamento era confortevole e funzionale, offrendo sia relax che praticità. La colazione è stata uno dei punti forti del soggiorno. Il buffet era molto vario. Il sistema di raccolta dei numeri prima di mettersi in fila era efficiente e garantiva un'esperienza piacevole. Le serate erano rese indimenticabili dalla splendida vista del tramonto. Ammirare il cielo tingersi di vivaci sfumature dalla struttura è stata un'esperienza davvero speciale che ha contribuito al fascino del soggiorno. Nel complesso, l'hotel ha soddisfatto tutte le aspettative: posizione, comfort, servizi e atmosfera. Non esiterei a tornarci e sicuramente sceglierò di nuovo questa struttura per la mia prossima visita a Okinawa.

La piscina è aperta solo ad aprile, il che è un peccato! Ogni camera ha il suo microonde, il che è molto comodo! Il personale di servizio è molto cordiale! Ci sono bevande gratuite dal pomeriggio alla sera! La colazione è in stile cinese, il sapore è davvero speciale e delizioso! La camera è molto spaziosa e dotata di tutto il necessario! Ma a questo prezzo, i servizi sono davvero monotoni: la piscina (se non aperta significa no) e il balcone hanno la loro vasca da bagno! Costano 6.000-7.000 dollari taiwanesi a notte! Anche altri hotel offrono servizi simili per 3.000! Solo che non c'è la vasca da bagno sul balcone! Quindi, in termini di rapporto qualità-prezzo, personalmente non lo consiglio! All'inizio ero così entusiasta della vasca da bagno sul balcone che ho prenotato!

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno fantastico. Siamo rimasti 3 notti la prima volta e siamo tornati per altre 3 notti. L'hotel è vicino alla base aerea di Kadena. Eravamo di stanza lì alla fine degli anni '80 e all'inizio degli anni '90. Ottima colazione. Personale attento. Ci siamo goduti lo spettacolo gratuito di danza di Okinawa. Siamo anche andati all'izakaya per ascoltare musica. L'hotel è bellissimo. L'ho adorato!

L'ANA è stato un hotel fantastico e il nostro soggiorno a Okinawa è stato assolutamente meraviglioso! I servizi erano di prim'ordine e rilassanti, rendendo il nostro viaggio ancora più piacevole. La zona era bellissima e la vista dalla nostra camera era mozzafiato. Un punto forte è stata la pizza PST, deliziosa e situata proprio sulla spiaggia. La colazione era davvero buona e ne valeva la pena. Consigliamo vivamente di soggiornare qui e non vediamo l'ora di tornarci!

The room was spacious featuring a tatami area, a large bathroom and a kitchen. *No pots or plates etc* A convenience store directly opposite and many restaurants within walking distance. Free parking is also a great bonus. Despite being located on a main road, the room was quiet and comfortable. Decent playground next to it, good for family with kids. There are also few diving centres around the corner.
