Trova hotel con balconi a Quito

Siamo rimasti qui alla fine di giugno, dopo che i nostri piani di soggiorno nella città antica sono stati sconvolti da scioperi e manifestazioni generali di Quito. La camera e il bagno erano una comoda dimensione.Letti confortevoli e belle strutture bagnoLa diffusione del brunch è stata mantenuta calda e fresca e con uova eccetera e oggetti equatoriali. Per gli uccelli primi c'era un carro con caffè e qualche colazione per mangiare uno intorno fino all'apertura della zona di colazione. La zona ha pochi ristoranti locali e pochi ristoranti vicino alla porta. Molte cose sono state chiuse a causa della sciopero generale. Ma la zona è una zona di solito piacevole con il Parco Carolina di Quito e il mercato Artisinale con una passeggiata di 20 minuti. La palestra è in alto piano e si può usare l'attrezzatura mentre si gode la vista Skyline di quito. Un bel modo di godere di un allenamento. Forse la migliore ragione per rimanere qui, tuttavia, è il personale. Il personale della zona di colazione ha lasciato il suo modo di aiutare e ha iniziato la nostra giornata con un notevole sguardo. Il personale del Front Desk ha risposto alle domande sulle limitate opzioni disponibili per gli ospiti a causa della situazione a Quito con onestà e professionalità e consigli utili. Non necessariamente un compito facile da equilibrare, ma hanno fatto il lavoro e hanno equilibrato le varie cose in modo meraviglioso e accogliente e non smettere di battere in essere utile e efficace comunicare con grande comando inglese. The Fogo de Chao Brazilian-style restaurant is the only standout feature of the hotel. Otherwise, (apart from the lovely roses), it's just like any other Marriott hotel. That's not to say it's bad. The rooms are spacious, comfortable & well soundproofed. At a superficial level, it's lovely. But one feels one is being processed by a hospitality machine, rather than being welcomed as a guest. Given the choice, the Casa Gangatena is a far better option.

Servizio entusiasta, igiene pulita, ambiente bello

The Suites Metropoli may not be as stunning as some of the really fancy hotels one can find in Quito. It's a bit more quaint, much smaller. It is also far better - at least for anyone looking for a really great experience where you don't need to rely on tour groups, can get private (and amazingly knowledgeable and caring drivers - including the owner who is one of the kindest and most caring people you'll meet, so much so that it's hard to think of him as simply 'the owner'; he is someone very open-minded, intelligent, worldly and will take guests to amazing places in his car - a personal touch you'll find no where else. The rooms are quaint - they aren't these massive luxury rooms of some hotels - but they are what you actually want (you just don't know it yet!). It's a very 'authentic' experience - a place where you are made to feel at home, a place where you can learn and experience Quito and Ecuador at your own pace, and in a way that allows you really do things you want, with great guides you'll come to consider friends almost immediately. You won't get stuffed on tour busses and forced to experience things as a 'typical tourist' who isn't really immersing themselves in the country - a real shame for one of the most incredible places on Earth. The hotel is near the top of part of the upper city, close to Pinchincha, and you can see the entire city, Cotopaxi and other volcanoes from your windows - you'll really be on top of the world. If you are only staying a day or two, then this may not be the right place. If you want to actually experience Quito, Cotopaxi, Mindo, the Amazon, Guayaquil, etc. without being wrangled into tourist traps and with just those people you want with you, with incredible guides then this is where you have to stay. You can stay in grand hotels that try and keep you in, and not experience the city if you want - but if you are someone who isn't the 'tourist' that wants to just do the 'big hits' really quickly then you can't do better than Suites Metropoli. The owner, Santiago, also has some Air BNB's - and if you are looking for something a bit bigger, more private without feeling like you're in a hotel in Chicago - if you are visiting Ecuador from Europe, the US, Canada you can find fancy hotels that are designed to be ridiculously over the top anywhere - and if you are going to Ecuador for that experience, you aren't going for the right reasons. This is the diamond in the ruff, an incredible place that you'll love. It has served as a hotel for diplomats and foreign officials over the giant hotels for a reason. And I leave you with an anecdote to show you how great Santiago and his staff are: we wanted to go to a real touristy part of Quito. We asked him to get us a taxi - he refused! Now, why is that good? Because he refused due to a dramatic increase in crime against tourists in that part of Quito - he wasn't willing to help us go somewhere alone where he thought we could be in danger. Now that really is

We spent two days in Quito following our Galapagos cruise and booked this very expensive hotel as a splurge to end our vacation. On the plus side, it is very beautifully decorated, our room was quite large and there were lots of fluffy towels and nice toiletries. We received a bottle of wine and some chocolate when we checked in, and the people at the front desk were very nice. But the negatives certainly overshadowed the positives, considering how much we paid for the room. The air conditioner was barely adequate, although we turned it down as low as possible, so we spent two uncomfortable nights. One of the main reasons for booking the hotel was to eat in their lovely restaurant, We even thought we made a reservation for our first night. However. when we checked in , we discovered that the restaurant had been closed for months and the only available restaurant was little better than a coffee shop, although they did serve dinners. The breakfast that was included in the room rate was very limited, with most of the other offerings an additional cost. Even at more modest hotels, we have enjoyed very nice buffets with many choices, but not at this hotel. And finally, our trip ended on a very negative note. The hotel is on a pedestrian street so we, with all of our luggage, walked to the corner with the bellman to meet our car. He didn't have a cart so we carried everything. While we were standing there someone took one of our bags, unfortunately the one with the presents we were bringing home to our family. The hotel never bothered to get in touch with me afterwards, although I guess technically it was not entirely their fault, even though they walk guests to the corner on a regular basis. But an expression of regret would have been appropriate and much appreciated. I really intended to give the hotel a “poor” rating, but decided in the end for “average” but only because the people at the front desk were so pleasant. But we would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
