Hotel vicini a WONDER PARK a Baguio

Been checking in here regularly since November for business purposes. This is actually a good hotel specially for a quick fix for a back to back meeting or a long days work. Rooms are clean and necessary sanitary protocols are intact specially being a rooms division manager and working in the industry for almost 12 years i can personally attest that they are maintaining cleanliness on their rooms... Wifi is good though you need to re log in every 5 min of down time,,, though again its good when in use... overall this hotel is really qualified for a 3-4 star review... unfortunately they hired a someone that pulls them down... a rotten apple mixed with good ones... their front office agent named “LYN” made our stay here terrible specially when shes on duty.. (We are having a pleasant stay though when shes on day off or areadly off duty) Take note that we are staying on this property for 5 or more times per month. At first meeting, she even mentioned they dont accept card transaction, as mentioned i told her that im a rooms div manager and i can see a credit card terminal, even offered to teach her how to use it. And yes!!! Its confirmed that she really doesn’t know how to use one. Next is fro a simple request for a simple shampoo, borrowing of extra slippers, all this request are all being denied by this front office agent named LYN... Oh did i forget to mention that its hard to contact the front desk when shes on duty on graveyard? Again we are exactly on point shes sleeping on duty!!! I just dont get the point why does lyn always ask for my id when checking in well in fact all of her colleagues does not do this as im already on their records,,, maybe she also doesn’t know to use the system... lastly we ordered food outside as their resto is close... ever since it is being directly delivered by their staff after the food is being handed to the fo... I dont know if her stupidity struck again and just decided to ask me to go down and pick it up even lying that she only has the guard with him,, after mentioning to her that its always being delivered here on our room, then instantly one of the hk guys gave it with all respect.. To the general manager of this eurotel property, maam / sir, this agent will pull your property down. I really hope that necessary actions will be done. I also understand that maybe she is just hired recently and lack of training is not given due to the pandemic. But being a seasoned hotelier, this type of attitudes are usually untrainable already specially for someone working upfront.. I guess we already know what im suggesting. The guy front office supervisor is someone to commend though adding the new hk male attendant,,,actually all of the staff except Lyn...again a rotten apple on a set of good ones.. 😔

Questa è la nostra prima volta con Microtel da Wyndham Baguio. Ci siamo trasferiti per 3 giorni e 2 notti con la mia famiglia, abbiamo avuto una fantastica esperienza. La zona e la stanza sono pulite, il lobby puzza meraviglioso. Il colazione complementare era anche buono, il gusto, i servizi e la selezione erano accettabili. Il Wi-Fi è buono, ma a volte si sta tagliando in e fuori (ci siamo rimasti nel terreno inferiore). Ma una cosa che ha reso questo hotel magnifico è la gente. Il personale del desk front are professional, reliable, and courtyard. I custodi della casa vi salutano con un sorriso, anche le guardie di sicurezza sono ospiti. La posizione è stata anche un grande plus. Sicuramente saremo indietro. Mantenetelo in alto 😀

Grande spaziosa camera, 20-30 camminare verso la vista delle mine e buon pastore, 15-20 camminare verso Wright Park e The Mansion. Le strutture sono piuttosto vecchie ma ancora ok. Opzione di colazione limitata ma anche non male. Grande e cortese personale. L'unico lato negativo, la nostra camera quadrupla è al livello 1 che si trova di fronte alla rossa principale, quindi quando le auto passano soprattutto di notte, è piuttosto rumoroso.

Quite disorganized. Triage slip - this is an important piece of paper that a traveller should always bring especially when going to Camp John Hay area. I was asked by the receptionist to hand her the triage slip when we were checking in. I thought it must be submitted to them that’s why it wasn’t returned to me. When we travelled to John Hay, we were blocked at the gate because we didn’t have it. We went back to the hotel and asked about it. The receptionist struggled to find it but eventually found it. Hotel luggage cart - we were about to go to our room and asked for assistance since we have a lot of bags/luggages with us. We waited for so long because they seemed struggling to find the cart, so we decided to go without it. Housekeeping request - on our third day, we called at the lobby to schedule cleaning and replacing everything that needs to be replaced. We were out the entire day and hoping the room is clean when we return, but to our surprise, nothing happened. A staff forcibly opening the door - early in the morning when we were still sleeping (and haven’t had enough sleep), someone was trying to open the door, and since it’s taking a while, I decided to rise up, went to the door and opened it. The staff apologized and said it was a mistake. I never got back to sleep and was not feeling well the entire day. Breakfast - I don’t know if it’s normal but I find it such a hassle to always get a coupon from the lobby daily, and present it to the cafe every morning. The time we plan to take breakfast everyday is also being asked. I know this is to manage/forecast the flow of requests, but one day when we weren’t able to show up on time, someone from the cafe called us to know what time we will eat. I appreciate the concern, but it was just about 8:30am, and what if we were still sleeping? We felt pressured to go down and eat, and that’s what we did. Friendliness - not all, but most of the staff are not used to greeting people. Other than these, there are still good things about this place, such as the location. It’s within the city center, so it’s easy to go around. The area feels safe as well.

The hotel is a boutique hotel and the theme/concept is good and has its appeal. We arrive after lunch and was told to wait for available rooms. No exact time was given but the girl at the reception was guessing around 3 which is beyond the standard 2 pm check in time.We waited by the reception area. After an hour I notice a newcomer who was able to check in so I went to the front desk about our room. The girl at the reception looked at me bewildered and ask me my name and seems at a lost. Another girl took over and after going through some papers, told us that we had a room. I wondered what would have happened if I didnt ask about it and just waited for them to approach us. The room is ample sized with an overhead fan which was working well. The beds are comfortable. There was only 1 pillow though which was small. I immediatedly called the reception for additional pillow explaining that I had a medical condition that needed me to be elevated while sleeping. The receptionist says that she will get back to me but doubted there was anything available since they had full occupancy. The girl never got back to me. There was a study table at the corner of the room with access to power supply. There was no AC but this is Baguio so it doesnt matter. THere was no ref. THere was a water boiler but no coffee or tea packs which is chargeable.The bathroom is ample and functions well. Water pressure is strong. There was a pad and a pencil at the side table but the pencil is all worn out. (not sharpened) Breakfast was at the 6th floor of the hotel. It was light and airy with a good view of the city. Choices were not much but food was good with an egg station, a salad bar and bread area. It was serviced buffet. Coffee was self serve and located in a corner of the room. One negative note here is that the sugar and creamer were served in bowls with teaspoons for customer to use. It would been more hygienic if they were in packets. Isnt there a covid protocol regarding this? The physical structure (rooms. function rooms. coffee shop) were quite good and as mentioned appealing. However, service is really poor. From the check in part of our stay, to not getting back to me on my request, to breakfast service where the clean ups were done sloppily, much can be improved on. Our hotels have always been distinguished by good service and hospitality and sadly Orchard is pretty off the chart.

Il check-in era veloce, dovevo controllare la stanza che mi davano il giorno prima, e era in fondo, così era piuttosto tranquillo. Mi serviva tempo per ricaricare e prendere un po' di sonno e questo è stato fatto! Wifi era intermittente e lentamente coz la mia stanza era alla fine, ma almeno non dovevo soffrire con persone e bambini che camminavano per la mia stanza (ho sentito i bambini che giravano in giro solo un po') e abbastanza affidabile. Il bagno era pulito, le toilette di base (la porta era doppia come porta doccia per la privacy) e le tovalette che profumavano poco di cloro. Ho portato spray alcol e sanitatori e ho pulito la stanza. Il condizionamento era abbastanza freddo e muto tutto il rumore ambientale fuori (un plus per me), la TV a schermo piatto era abbastanza buona, ma aveva tutti i canali via cavo in una lingua straniera. Letto era una sorpresa, ma non era nemmeno morbido, neppure duro, ma abbastanza forte per il mio schiena (aveva un buon sonno), e anche le bambole buone (avevo solo le tue bambole). La colazione era inclusa nella stanza e ero sola, così ho avuto due servie, il pesce asciutto, e i salsicce con uova, più il caffè e il succo illimitati. L'hotel ha un ristorante interno che serve principalmente cibo asiatico, non mi chiedevo se avessero ancora un buffet che avevano prima della pandemia. C'è anche un ristorante noto nel piano terra dell'hotel e penso che si possa ordinare cibo anche se si vuole mangiare. (stava solo lontano dalla folla) Camera pulita, bagno pulito, colazione. Piccoli lussi con una camera tranquilla. Rate ragionevoli, abbastanza buone per 4 stelle su 5 per me.

We stayed for a week (7d 6n) It was a charming hotel that overlooks the mountainous Baguio City. Staff were accommodating, professional and friendly. My only downside is that there’s no shuttle to pick us up or drop us off to our preferred destination especially one night that we finished shopping at SM Baguio not so late at around 8 or 9pm and there were no taxicabs around. We were neglected by the SM’s dispatcher so freezing and inconvenient as it is, I called the hotel to pick us up since we were having a hard time booking a grab taxi. It is always drivers are busy all the time. The first lady at front desk wasn’t that helpful. She just gave a “wala na kaming magagawa” answer but the second front desk lady was accommodating and went the extra mile so kudos to her. Shout out to our housekeeper lady Grace who also is friendly and courteous and gave us all the amenities we needed. Replenished our sheets reqularly. Above all it was an above average stay but not as perfect since there were minor areas like, the bathroom sewer stinks, which I think they are aware of, no shuttle, the balcony is fine coz we were at the corner facing both the vines with some noisy construction workers chatting but tolerable and pine trees on your right. You have to lean over to get a good view but be extra careful for you might fall to your death. It was a charming and promising hotel. We might consider to comeback and tell this to friends, relatives and close loved ones.

Ogni volta che andiamo a Baguio, restiamo sempre a Forest Lodge. Perché continuiamo a tornare? Perché ti faranno sempre sentire a casa. A volte si verificano situazioni inattese e questo è il momento che verrà a testimoniare ciò che taglia questo hotel sopra il resto. Sono stato recentemente diagnosticato con asma e, poiché non sapevo di tutti i miei attivi, non sapevo che le fume e il delizioso odore della cucina peggiorerebbero la mia condizione. Le nostre camere erano vicine alla cucina e io mi sono mantenuto a tosse così dura che mio marito chiamava l’infermiera. Il manager (Neil Dominic), l’infermiera e il campanello sono venuti al mio salvataggio. Ci hanno trasferiti in un piano diverso in pochi minuti. L’infermiera mi ha controllato l’ossigeno e mi ha comprato i miei medici prescritti dal negozio per farmi sentire meglio. Dopo di che, mi stavo già andando bene, il manager e l’infermiera ci hanno controllati. Ci hanno anche detto che c'è una navetta di guardia pronta per portarci in un ospedale più vicino. Ci hanno fornito servizi oltre le mie aspettative in un breve periodo di tempo. La nostra famiglia in generale pensa che siamo davvero sicuri e ben curati ogni volta che siamo qui. Per questo, chiamerò sempre Forest Lodge a casa mia a Baguio. Grazie per averci curato durante il nostro soggiorno lì Gennaio 2024. Arrivederci presto.

Stavo qui per l'Anno Nuovo. Mi è stato dato un letto matrimoniale dal momento che la capacità era piena. Mi è venuto sorpreso che al mio arrivo mi è stato dato un buono che mi dà cena gratuita per tutta la mia permanenza per 2 notti! La scelta di cibo era leggermente limitata, ma il gusto era molto buono! Colazione saggia la diffusione era buona per un piccolo hotel, non essere sconvolto di gustare un buon colazione qui! Situazione wise it’s a poca distanza dalla città principale, come questo hotel si trova accanto a Lafayette , che si trova sulla collina, così il tempo è freddo alla notte, che è una bella cosa da vivere!

Prima del soggiorno, il processo di prenotazione online era molto facile e intuitivo. Quando arrivato, siamo stati rapidamente controllati e la nostra stanza era in condizioni immacolate, con una vista stupenda dal balcone. Siamo stati molto impressionati dal regalo di benvenuto personalizzato offerto dalla direzione, ci ha fatto sentire molto speciale. Ci sono state molte attrazioni offerte complimentari e ci è anche l’opzione di ottenere una selezione mini bar ragionevolmente prezzi. La camera da letto era molto confortevole e la vista è eccellente. Anche se non c'è nessuna aria condizionata, i fan del tetto fanno il lavoro correttamente (è ancora più sano) Tutto ha un senso di conforto e di lusso, che è un grande valore per il prezzo. Se ci fosse qualcosa che rendesse questo posto ancora meglio sarebbe avere più opzioni vegetariane sul menu del ristorante. I giardini sono molto puliti e ben curati, è così piacevole camminare intorno. Non posso concludere senza menzionare il servizio eccellente e notevole che ci ha fornito Alyssa, accogliendoci all'arrivo con un vero sorriso e andando oltre per rendere il nostro soggiorno veramente inoltrabile, è in effetti una stella e un'attivo preziosa per il Manor. Non possiamo aspettare di tornare ancora :)
