Hotel in zona Harrison Road Night Market, Baguio

The family room #2 that we got is super spacious!! Its bigger than my actual house. The location is quite good, a lot of taxis drive by the area. You just have to walk uphill to the hotel (if you are walking from Burnham Park) and downhill to get to the main road. The breakfast meal was ok. They will ask your preferred breakfast a day before, and in the morning, they will knock on your door to ask what time you would like to eat. The comfort room is also big, and the hot shower is thankfully working very well. There is also a walk in closet spacious enough for your luggage. The staffs were very nice and accommodating. But… Of course there were downsides during our stay. First, when we entered the room, the room hits your nose with a very slight hint of cat pee. For cat owners, you know the smell when your cat pees on your carpet or curtain? And it was not cleaned right away? I guess a stray cat got inside the room and marked it, or delivered a litter of kittens. Since its a very subtle smell of cat pee, the smell kinda disappears… or my brain just forgets the smell. 🤣 another thing is that there is a separate room for the 2 single beds. We ended up sleeping altogether on the double bed because none of us wants to sleep in the other room. The double bed was a little to firm for our liking. The check out time is too early, which is 11:30am-no extensions. We ended up checking out at 8am (since we have a tour) and left our luggage in front of the front desk lobby. No room service available as well, since they have a restaurant/dining hall where every guest should eat. Am I going to stay here again? Probably yes, but I would probably ask to stay in another room, if I get assigned to room #2 again. 🤣

The hotel is a boutique hotel and the theme/concept is good and has its appeal. We arrive after lunch and was told to wait for available rooms. No exact time was given but the girl at the reception was guessing around 3 which is beyond the standard 2 pm check in time.We waited by the reception area. After an hour I notice a newcomer who was able to check in so I went to the front desk about our room. The girl at the reception looked at me bewildered and ask me my name and seems at a lost. Another girl took over and after going through some papers, told us that we had a room. I wondered what would have happened if I didnt ask about it and just waited for them to approach us. The room is ample sized with an overhead fan which was working well. The beds are comfortable. There was only 1 pillow though which was small. I immediatedly called the reception for additional pillow explaining that I had a medical condition that needed me to be elevated while sleeping. The receptionist says that she will get back to me but doubted there was anything available since they had full occupancy. The girl never got back to me. There was a study table at the corner of the room with access to power supply. There was no AC but this is Baguio so it doesnt matter. THere was no ref. THere was a water boiler but no coffee or tea packs which is chargeable.The bathroom is ample and functions well. Water pressure is strong. There was a pad and a pencil at the side table but the pencil is all worn out. (not sharpened) Breakfast was at the 6th floor of the hotel. It was light and airy with a good view of the city. Choices were not much but food was good with an egg station, a salad bar and bread area. It was serviced buffet. Coffee was self serve and located in a corner of the room. One negative note here is that the sugar and creamer were served in bowls with teaspoons for customer to use. It would been more hygienic if they were in packets. Isnt there a covid protocol regarding this? The physical structure (rooms. function rooms. coffee shop) were quite good and as mentioned appealing. However, service is really poor. From the check in part of our stay, to not getting back to me on my request, to breakfast service where the clean ups were done sloppily, much can be improved on. Our hotels have always been distinguished by good service and hospitality and sadly Orchard is pretty off the chart.

Questa è la nostra prima volta con Microtel da Wyndham Baguio. Ci siamo trasferiti per 3 giorni e 2 notti con la mia famiglia, abbiamo avuto una fantastica esperienza. La zona e la stanza sono pulite, il lobby puzza meraviglioso. Il colazione complementare era anche buono, il gusto, i servizi e la selezione erano accettabili. Il Wi-Fi è buono, ma a volte si sta tagliando in e fuori (ci siamo rimasti nel terreno inferiore). Ma una cosa che ha reso questo hotel magnifico è la gente. Il personale del desk front are professional, reliable, and courtyard. I custodi della casa vi salutano con un sorriso, anche le guardie di sicurezza sono ospiti. La posizione è stata anche un grande plus. Sicuramente saremo indietro. Mantenetelo in alto 😀

Uphill has a nice location close to most attractions, there's free secured parking and a great open feeling in the lobby and restaurant with nice views as well from the restaurant. The staff was friendly and it was very clean and modern with free Netflix on the TV. Breakfast was excellent. I don't know what the rest of the rooms are like, but ours....... Lets just say it was more like a small inside cabin on a cruise ship. There was only one tiny window that overlooked a drainage ditch and had no screen, so we couldn't keep it open because mosquitoes were coming in. There was no aircon so the room was quite hot in the evening and any sound from the lobby seemed like it was right in the room with us. If you stay here make sure you get a room with a window, or even better a room with a view.

We stayed for a week (7d 6n) It was a charming hotel that overlooks the mountainous Baguio City. Staff were accommodating, professional and friendly. My only downside is that there’s no shuttle to pick us up or drop us off to our preferred destination especially one night that we finished shopping at SM Baguio not so late at around 8 or 9pm and there were no taxicabs around. We were neglected by the SM’s dispatcher so freezing and inconvenient as it is, I called the hotel to pick us up since we were having a hard time booking a grab taxi. It is always drivers are busy all the time. The first lady at front desk wasn’t that helpful. She just gave a “wala na kaming magagawa” answer but the second front desk lady was accommodating and went the extra mile so kudos to her. Shout out to our housekeeper lady Grace who also is friendly and courteous and gave us all the amenities we needed. Replenished our sheets reqularly. Above all it was an above average stay but not as perfect since there were minor areas like, the bathroom sewer stinks, which I think they are aware of, no shuttle, the balcony is fine coz we were at the corner facing both the vines with some noisy construction workers chatting but tolerable and pine trees on your right. You have to lean over to get a good view but be extra careful for you might fall to your death. It was a charming and promising hotel. We might consider to comeback and tell this to friends, relatives and close loved ones.

Vista de Pino a Baguio è un alloggio di passaggio eccellente, e dal momento in cui sono arrivato, sono stato attirato dall'incantevole vista degli alberi di pino che circondano la proprietà. Le camere sono state ben mantenute e hanno un’atmosfera confortevole, perfetta per il relax, e il personale era amichevole, accogliente, e ha assicurato che tutte le mie esigenze fossero soddisfatte. Inoltre, la posizione era ideale, con facile accesso alle attrazioni popolari e al centro della città. Mi sono particolarmente apprezzato l'atmosfera pacifica e il clima freddo. In generale, il mio soggiorno a Vista de Pino era oltre soddisfacente e lo consiglio molto per un'esperienza memorabile a Baguio.

The room is superb, clean, smell good and big. The balcony with breathtaking view. The staff is so polite and best service given to each guest. The restaurant is super good (you must try the steak). Big spacious room, 20-30 walk to mines view and Good Shepherd, 15-20 walk to Wright Park and The Mansion. The facilities are quite old but still ok. Limited breakfast option but also not bad. Great and courteous staff. The only negative side, our quadruple room is in level 1 facing the main rood so when cars pass by especially at night, it’s quite noisy.

Questo è un posto molto bello per riposare non solo per le coppie, ma anche per i viaggiatori soli che volevano sfuggire alle stressose congedo di lavoro e spostarsi da cose che rendono la loro vita pesante.
