Located at heart of Downtown it means on weekends there’s lot of mess around like houseless, people fighting, druggies everywhere... Next to Marta station which is a good thing. So maybe week days it’s a good place to stay. Hotel tram is great and very helpful. I won’t come back. I prefer stay in a safe place in Midtown, by the Galleria or Buckhead.

To start, it's right infeont of Underground ATL. If your looking for quit and good sleep. Forget about it. Homeless is everywhere and it really makes you question your safety not just for you but your family as well. They have armed security guards at the main entrance with valet. Don't get me wrong every staff member we came into contact with was very nice and polite and wanted to assist in whatever way needed. But that gets over shadowed by not only the homeless but the quality of the hotel itself. If only I had gone digging into the reviews better before booking we would have not stayed there. We literally got stuck in 1 of 2 evaluators that they have for guest. Luckily it wasn't terribly long (30min) before we got off on another floor other than our own. But with an infant.. take a guess at how much fun that was. For our "inconvenience" of being stuck on the elevator the front desk clerk offered a complementary candy bar for the market as an apology. Then we come to find out that they have had multiple issues on a regular basis with the elevators. As you can also read in other reviews. This place sucks! Don't waste your time or money. OH ! And they don't have enough HOT water what so ever and admits that when asked

My family came into town to attend a college event and we stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Atlanta Downtown. We greatly enjoyed our stay and my husband and I were pleased beyond measure with customer service provided by the staff with emphasis on an employee by the name of Rodrick. Rodrick provided great customer service making sure that our needs were meant and answered any questions that we had. We will be re-visiting Fairfield in Downtown Atlanta for future visits.

Came in for Clemson vs Georgia Labor Day Weekend game....and there was quite the festivities going on that weekend ( PRIDE/COMIC CON/tigers vs bulldogs/etc). One SINGLE elevator in the building that was operational. Its located across from a Marta station, and UnderGround/Coca-Cola are within walking distance. Ashley at the front desk is GORGEOUS/ATTRACTIVE/TEMPTING

Not up to Marriott standards- worst property ever. No hot water, limited towels and wash clothes and the location is horrific! I do not recommend this property as you are in the epic center of homelessness and filth. If you’re not use to a very urban city lifestyle I don’t think you would feel comfortable staying here. Lastly, the $50 per night valet should be considered unless you are willing to risk parking on the street. The best part about this place was the staff as several people have noted. They have a difficult job I imagine trying to deal with unpleased customers as this place really is a dump and should have any ties to the Marriott brand and this is coming from a lifetime Platinum Marriott customer.

Great location! Easy access to the Mercedes Benz Dome and World Congress Center! Amazing valet staff! Mr Lamar, Steven and Nate took great care of my car and always greeted us with warm smiles and made us feel welcome! Hotel was dated and needed repairs. There was only one working elevator for 17 floors- not ideal when attending a conference and many of us were at the hotel. Checkout was a mess- I hear people missed or nearly missed flights because the elevator was full every time it stopped. We had to change rooms halfway through the stay due to a floor being soaked near the AC unit. Hotel shower had liquid soaps mounted in the shower but one came out of the wall during our stay. There was a musty smell as we rounded the corner to our first room. If there were an issue and we needed to speak to the front desk, the standard answer we were told was “we are too short staffed to do….” If it were to get a Pepsi from the back because the front coolers were out, if it were that because we needed to change rooms no one was available to bring up a luggage cart, we had no trash can in the 2nd room. There are multiple signs all over the building that renovations are coming soon. I hope they will be completed by the time we come back in 3 years. Did not feel like it was worth $189 a night.

Hands down the worst customer service I have ever had. My son left his Ipod in the room and we have yet to recover it. And yes, we know for certain it is at the hotel because of the apple device finder system. We even took a screenshot of its location once we realized it was lost. The direct phone number for the hotel doesn't work half the time, and when you do get through to someone they can't help. I emailed my issue to corporate who followed up with the property. I eventually get an email from someone at the property promising to escalate and to update us. Needless to say we don't hear anything. I replied to their email after a week requesting an update, and again, no response. I tried calling again several times, surprise, the calls can't connect! How hard can it be to find a bright blue iPod in a tiny drab hotel room. Makes you wonder just how thoroughly they clean the rooms after check-out! At this point the iPod isn't even really the issue. We left it and that's on us, but the complete disregard for anything even approaching customer service is astounding. Once they have your cash, they simply don't care any more!

I had never been to Atlanta and wanted to stay downtown. I had a car rental, so it was important to be able to park the car myself in the hotel's parking garage. This hotel advertised that they offered valet parking at $50 per day and self parking at $30 per day. The parking garage was not located in the same building as the hotel. It was a completely separate parking garage (not affiliated with Marriott), located two blocks away. The elevators in the parking garage do not work. The hotel should specify that the parking garage is not nearby and you have to walk with all of your bags/luggage to get to/from there. The area outside the hotel is completely full of homeless people loitering. They were aggressive, yelling at each other, yelling at people walking by, it was awful. We had to lug our suitcases through this when we checked in and it was terrible. We did not feel safe walking around so we would call Ubers to go to/from dinner at night. I'm grateful I did this trip with my bf and not my daughter. I did not feel safe staying here and I would not recommend anyone stay here either.

We did a quick stay with the family and found the staff very friendly. The kids went to a concert within a block of the hotel, so very convenient. However, not much open Sunday night for dinner. Now a few months forward, I am cleaning my car and found an empty bottle of 99 Blue Raspberries 98 proof under my driver's seat. I am the only person who has access to my car..with the exception of the hotel's valet parking staff. Disappointed. Will not be back unless we take an Uber.

We have been verry impressed with the Valets Steven, Clifton, Mr Lamar, Frank K, and Emilano. These guys were verry attentive. courteous and knowledgeable. They new our names and car the first day. Such a wonderful crew. The hotel staff was excellent Terrel and Tamika at the front desk were awesome. As for the hotel it needs a lot of work. The rooms are run down and need attention. the hotel does not convey the Marriott name but the staff does.

The room is filthy... everything from the surfaces to the walls. One of the doors was broken off where the in room refrigerator was. There was black mold on the ceiling above the shower. That particular block was much sketchier that everything around. Parking was valet only-- and was $50 (which seemed quite expensive for the cost of the room). Very disappointing for a Marriott brand hotel.
