Hotel in zona Army park, Atene

Sono una ragazza e sono venuta ad Atene da sola. Dopo aver prenotato questo hotel, ho letto i problemi menzionati nelle recensioni che mi hanno messo molto a disagio. Tuttavia, quando ho fatto il check-in, ho scoperto che in realtà non c'era alcun problema. L'igiene dell'hotel è molto buona, il personale della reception è molto cordiale e l'aria condizionata in camera è più che sufficiente, permettendomi di riposarmi bene dopo il ritorno dal clima esterno di 40 gradi. La prima notte non ho fatto il check-in fino all'una del mattino e ho incontrato le ** persone menzionate nei commenti, ma fintanto che mi sono mantenuto a distanza e non ho stabilito un contatto visivo, era ancora molto sicuro. Sembrava che non si accorgessero dei pedoni che passavano, facendo le loro cose. Sceglierò di nuovo qui la prossima volta che verrò ad Atene!

My room is near the lifts so it made noise but the hotel will to handle the issue now is fix and highly appreciate they solved, reception is super nice and the staff in the door is very helpful

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. They are very new and need to work on their communication skills. We were told that the rooftop was closed and that we need to order breakfast the day prior and it would be delivered to our room at the desired time. We waited for our breakfast the following morning and it did not arrive. We went downstairs to hear that breakfast is served on the rooftop ( which we were told was closed). Apparently they changed the plan and didn’t think to inform us. Since we were being picked up for a tour…we had to hurry out with a light snack. That same night, at 11:30 pm we heard someone knocking on a door…only to have the door opened by a man (who apologized). As we were two women travelling together -this was a very upsetting security incident. There are no latches to ensure ure our safety from the inside. The decor is modern and calming. There is a nespresso coffee machine supplied (nice touch). The room was spacious and very clean. We enjoyed our stay…but we’re disappointed in missing out on breakfast and the man unlocking our door late at night. A bit far from the centre of town-but on a Main Street.

Leggendo le altre recensioni mi ero molto spaventata. Temevo non ci fosse l’aria condizionata, che per uscire dall’hotel si rischiasse la vita, che il cibo facesso schifo ecc. Invece, per fortuna, nulla di tutto ciò. L’hotel è pulito, si mangia in maniera dignitosa, con sempre molte insalate, primo, secondo e dolce. Acqua a volontà e se vuoi anche vino (buono). La camera è pulita e dotata di tutti i confort, inclusa l’aria condizionata regolabile direttamente dalla camera. Cambi di asciugamani frequenti (anche inutilmente secondo me, che sono contro gli sprechi). Colazione abbondante e varia. Il personale parla poco inglese, ma ci si riesce a capire. La zona è comoda al centro, ma ahimè, essendo una zona molto povera, è una zona pericolosa, ma basta stare all’occhio.

Small boutique hotel with very attentive staff and outstanding view of the Acropolis from its excellent restaurant. From the get-go, we were received with a warm welcoming smile by Marisanti and Valantis. Due to early arrival, our room was being cleaned and we were directed to the top floor restaurant for coffee. Wow, what a view! We were in awe of the spectacular view of the Acropolis from the restaurant. The daily breakfast, served at the restaurant, included a quite diverse menu and the very attentive staff always provided great service. We received recommendations and advice from the front desk staff on a daily basis. Every day we were welcome back from our daily exploring with a smile. Other highlights were the cleanliness of the hotel and the balcony offering a great view of the daily Plaka crowd. Any time we had questions regarding our planned activities, every effort was made by the front desk staff to coordinate among the different shifts to follow up and provide us with the specific details or information. This special customer service gave us peace of mind and contributed to our outstanding experience during our April six-day stay.

Stayed here for two nights. Nothing to criticize. I’ll note that while the breakfast was OK, the breakfast room is a bit small and you can be very close to your neighbor’s table. If you like privacy, eat early when its not busy. The location was good for me as I am a walker, and walking from the property to Athen’s main sites was very doable for me (noting that this stay was in November). My goal for the trip was to use public transportation as much as possible. I took the Metro from the airport to the Ambelokipi station. No transfers involved. But it is a bit of a walk with luggage as the sidewalks are a bit narrow and uneven. If I did it again, I’d go to the Music Hall station, a bit more of a walk, but all of the sidewalks are wide and easily manageable.

La stanza che abbiamo ottenuto era molto più grande di quanto ci si aspettava, il letto era molto comodo, il servizio di prima classe, non c'era nulla di disturbante dal vicino strada con traffico denso. La posizione era eccellente per me, perché avevo bisogno di un intervento oculare all'ospedale Henriko Dinand, che potevo raggiungere a piedi in pochi minuti. Il personale era molto attento. Possiamo raccomandare questo posto molto! Con grande grazie per il personale!!

Ho una stanza che si trovava davanti alla strada e, onestamente, il rumore della strada era solo terribile. L'edificio è vecchio, ma la stanza è ristrutturata e ben tenuta. Non ci sono frittelle - niente da urlare a casa. Non consigliare di rimanere a meno che non si ottiene una stanza che si trova dentro.

L’hotel e’ un palazzone senza balconi e con finestre che si aprono di 4 cm . Le camere sono anni 80 , moquette dappertutto e non pulita , per il resto pulizia buona . A questo si potrebbe passare sopra ma i servizi non esistono . Piscina sul tetto chiusa e senza acqua , nessuna sdraio , unico ristorante sul tetto chiuso a pranzo e aperto solo di sera . Vicino alla hall c’è una bella lounge piena di divani ma pure questa e’ chiusa e usata come deposito di materassi , come vedrete da foto allegata . All’arrivo un receptionist ( non gentile ) mi ha fatto pagare una notte in più benché fosse già pagata dalla compagnia che aveva prenotato per me con la minaccia di non farmi entrare in camera ( a loro risultavano pagate solo 2 notti, non tre , salvo poi restituirmi i soldi dopo che la compagnia ha telefonato per chiarire la cosa) . Non capisco che problema c’era a attendere il giorno dopo che la cosa fosse chiarita visto che 2 notti risultavano comunque pagate . Mio marito l’ultimo giorno non si sentiva bene e l’aereo era alle 22 mentre il check - out alle 11 . Ho chiesto il late check - out , pagando e mi è’ stato negato , ho chiesto di riprendere l’intera camera pagando tutto anche solo per usarla qualche ora e il receptionist invece di prenotarmela mi ha detto di provare a cercare sul loro sito internet se c’era qualche offerta , che non ho trovato . Costretti a trascorrere lunghe ore nella hall mi sono addormentata su una poltrona e il portiere dell’hotel ha pure avuto il coraggio di venirmi a dire che nella hall non si poteva dormire, dopo che i posti per riposare un po’ erano tutti inaccessibili . Il posto e’ lontano dal centro di Atene , 30 minuti di taxi , e la colazione e’ appena appena accettabile . Fate voi . Unica nota positiva , letti molto comodi e personale del ristorante sul tetto gentile . Non si può fare pagare i servizi e poi non darli. Non è serio . E non si può neppure trattare così i clienti se hanno delle difficoltà .

I loved Divani Caravel. The location has always been my favorite, the rooms were nice, some of them facing the Syggros hospital a bit dark but not something unbearable, the ones facing kolonali, excellent. The breakfast is the absolute highlight, one of the best I had. The gym another highlight, I enjoyed it every day. About the staff: 90% of the receptionists were amazing, there were a couple of senior guys at the reception, especially late at night that were kind of fed up with serving so they would put the least effort and from the housekeeping, some of the people were too persistent and at times rude, all depending on the person you deal with, again, 90% of them super friendly. The guys from restaurant in general very good. On other negative comments, the key card any time it touched my phone would be deactivated so I had to go to the reception every few hours to fix that. Overall I give a five star, the good things clearly outweigh the few grey spots. And sure I am returning
