Hotel a Ardon, Francia

Booked last minute for one night to break up the road trip home, paid £160ish for the privilege. Positives: Receptionist and barman were friendly, room was very spacious and linen clean. Negatives: Cheap uncomfortable bed, room may be spacious but feels soulless due to no pictures on the walls and furniture felt more appropriate for a hostel. Overall the room was clean until you look at the bathroom floor which was utterly filthy, more like something you’d see in a public WC. Very large but very old Samsung TV’s, not connected to WiFi so couldn’t log in to Netflix or even screen mirror from phone, so French TV it’ll be to relax then….oh and despite having two TV’s in the room one had to be unplugged as the remote worked both at the same time, genius. Finally the hotel corridors smell like an EasyJet flight returning from Magaluf (I imagine). Thoughts and msg to Mercure; Just because it’s a ‘business’ hotel doesn’t mean customers don’t want home comforts, buy some more pillows, pictures for the walls and upgrade the 10 year old TV’s. While you’re at it how about a headboard covered in fabric & foam so you can sit up comfortably in bed?? Finally I think it’s great that French hotels are so pro-dogs, we really struggle to find places to stay in England with ours but if your going to let people bring them you have to expect accidents so perhaps having your corridor carpets professionally cleaned once in a while might help to ensure the smell of caca goes away??? Peace.

We stopped here en route to Calais and it was an ideal stopover. The room was clean, spacious and had basic kitchen facilities should we have needed them. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were travelling with two dogs and had a downstairs room close to an exit which was ideal. The staff recommended an excellent local restaurant where clients receive a discount on showing their room key. The only downside was that the Wifi in the room was not working. It was essential for us as we needed to complete a locator form. Fortunately as it was still not working the next day we were given acces to the office WiFi which served its purpose.

A causa dei lavori di ristrutturazione del Mercure Centre, dove alloggiamo abitualmente da anni, abbiamo deciso di prenotare questo Novotel, anche per la sua vicinanza agli snodi stradali che evitano il traffico cittadino di Orléans (purtroppo, il mattino della partenza, abbiamo dovuto trascorrere 2 (DUE) ore! bloccati per le proteste contro Macron e Borne...). L'albergo è buono, le camere spaziose, ben insonorizzate. pulite. Comodo il parcheggio gratuito, strano il ricevimento: al nostro arrivo nessuno era al banco. Dopo un pò di minuti di inutile va e vieni nel salone, mia moglie individua un campanello, non così evidente..., da suonare per avvertire che i Clienti sono in attesa di essere registrati; stessa cosa al mattino della partenza: nessuno al banco, ripetute scampanellate, ma nessuna comparsa; per fortuna una dipendente dell'albergo ha bussato a una porta e, finalmente, una signorina è comparsa. Nonostante questa stranezza, al ritorno abbiamo alloggiato ancora presso questo Novotel, al ricevimento sia all'arrivo che alla partenza, questa volta, c'erano le/gli cortesi addette/i. Un inconveniente, però, non poteva mancare: le porte scorrevoli dell'ascensore, al mattino, quando portavo giù i bagagli per caricarli, si aprivano di 10/15cm e subito si richiudevano; ho ripetutamente premuto il pulsante di apertura e, finalmente, Sesamo ha funzionato. La sera del secondo pernottamento abbiamo cenato presso il ristorante dall'albergo, Lina, nome italiano, ma con cucina non italiana; abbiamo cenato bene, con servizio accurato e cortese. Prezzi: evidentemente risentono dell'inflazione degli ultimi mesi (alimentari ai supermercati +16/17%) e sono un pà elevati. Nel complesso due buoni soggiorni presso un buon albergo con personale cortese.

Ritorniamo da una notte passata al Novotel de la gare , situato proprio davanti a questa . Molto bel hotel , ora ben finito e ampiamente alti degli altri Novotel . La nostra camera esecutiva era grande e molto bella, letto superiore e doccia anche , con biancheria da bagno, WC separato (in tutte le camere). Solo il soffitto, in realtà, non è finito, ma è un dettaglio ... Colazione di qualità, personale reattivo e accogliente . Piscina riscaldata, grande, ma a debordement sur 2 côtes et demi ... du coup de l'eau partout et peu d'endroits pour poser ses affaires... 3 transats et 2 banquettes à disposition ! È l’unica critica, ma c’è una piscina coperta, riscaldata e è già un più apprezzabile . È a piedi vicino a ristoranti, negozi e a due passi dalla cattedrale e dell’hotel Groslot che è assolutamente necessario andare a vedere . In breve, ci siamo molto piaciuti!! E torneremo...

We stay regularly at this hotel and the staff are always very friendly and helpful - my french is not perfect and their English is much better. All staff acknowledge you witha friendly greeting at any time of the day or evening.

L'atteggiamento di servizio è buono.

Questo è il peggiore hotel che abbia mai visto. Due anni fa durante Covid, è stato eccellente in gran parte a causa della Melodia Recepcionista. Due anni dopo e il personale era ignorante e estremamente insopportabile. La porta anteriore era chiusa quando siamo tornati (al 9.50) dopo aver mangiato. Non potevamo aprire la porta anteriore e nessuno è venuto a aiutare. Fortunatamente un altro ospite è venuto e ha dovuto chiamare il suo amico all'interno dell'hotel per farlo entrare. Mentre questo era successo, il manager della notte ci guardava e si allontanò. L’hotel era ricco e in uno stato molto povero. I mattoni erano ricci e la nostra stanza sembrava non essere stata pulita in due anni. Abbiamo pagato per un colazione glutine gratis che non si è mai realizzato. Dovrebbero distruggere il posto e ricostruirlo. Non gli darei stelle se potessi.

E'una bella esperienza di mangiare. Questo è cibo gourmet preparato da un cuoco molto creativo. È certamente il viaggio più prezioso. Il paesaggio è magnifico, decorato con mobili antici e il grande parco che lo circonda permette di camminare nella bella foresta di Sologne.

Bon accueil, literie confortable, hôtel au calme, juste un point négatif sur la propreté de la salle de bain mais ça reste correct. Je conseille cet hôtel 👍
