Pierre & Vacances Hotel Roquetas El Palmeral

I visited this hotel with a group of 3 friends all 18 years old. As the other reviews say this is a very Spanish hotel but this was not an issue for us in the slightest. The staffs English is not the best but they were still very accommodating and we faced little issues with communication. If you are coming to this hotel with the intention to make friends with fellow English then this hotel may not be the place as there was very few. Within our 5 days we only came across maybe 7 or 8 English people but for us this was not an issue. Food was good and the room clean so no complaints there. Pool area opens at 10:30 but there was absolutely no rush for sunbeds with beds still available throughout the whole day and spare ones stacked at the side if needed. In conclusion, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the bar staff very friendly.

The hotel opened its doors early in the year to accommodate pensioners through IMSERSO and Turismo Social. Spacious room with 2 huge comfortable beds, and the bathroom was fitted with a walk-in shower. The room was serviced promptly each day by the friendly and efficient cleaners. Food was plentiful and nutritious, though a bit repetitive, and only cold plates were available. The vino rosado in the restaurant tasted slightly oxidised but the blanco and tinto were good. Full marks to the friendly bar staff and praise goes to Willy, the entertainment guy! He is non-stop and turns his hand to all aspects of work in the bar area, as well as putting on various forms of entertainment for the guests! (The pacharan went down well!) Bar prices were reasonable. Overall, we had a very pleasant 7-night stay.

I wasn't happy from booking in. The reception staff spoke poor English. Although the hotel and the room were nice it was simply the fact that there wasn't any warning signs around allergies in English, as to the food or pets. If I had known that your hotel allowed dogs then I would not have gone. Even the jet 2 rep was Spanish and not very helpful!

Curfew on sun beds.Its the only hotel we have ever been to where you cant go to the pool beds until after 10am, it was a joke. Catered for the Spanish and nothing wrote in English/no one spoke English. Jet2 shouldnt sell to UK market. The one restaurant becomes really busy so have to be first there for breakfast at 8am, lunch at 1pm and dinner at 8pm to avoid the chaos!

This hotel is really aimed at Spanish clientele. There is little English spoken by any of the staff, and no attempts made to include any English in any of the activities. It is very loud in all areas, especially around the pool and in the bar - if you want a chilled holiday this is not the place for you! There is constant very loud music, horrendous drum and base at volume 11 both in the bar and round the pool, so even if you want to cool off in the bar there is no chance of any conversation because the MUSIC IS TOO LOUD. And really bad as well. The animation guy does a lot of shouting throughout the day, but only in Spanish, so no idea what's going on, just very loud. I'm in my room at the moment, the furthest room you can get from the bar, and I can still hear the horrendously loud music! So much for siesta. The food in the restaurant would be great, if it was hot. You must get in there before 8.30 for breakfast, just after 1 for lunch, and before 8.30 for dinner otherwise you cannot get a table as all the Spanish guests eat at the same time, and the food runs out very quickly. And it is VERY LOUD in the restaurant at these times. All in all not a relaxing holiday, I can't understand why jet2 would have this hotel in their brochure, definitely not for British tourists, and I can speak some Spanish, but find it hard to find anythingto like here. Oh, two fabulous comfy double beds in the room...but there are no drawers or bedside cabinets and only six hangers between two of us. And the shower floor is like wet glass, accident waiting to happen...nowhere to put your soap or shampoo except on the shower floor. We won't be returning.

The Hotel was pleasant enough and clean but the food was cold. The guests were mainly Spanish and the staff spoke very little English but were very helpful especially if you made an attempt to speak to them in Spanish.

Good points - - The hotel is nice and Clean except the pools! They need a lot of a TLC - Great staff and good drink choices - we had the junior suite which was nice. Bad points - - Terrible food (Italian was nice) - Freezing Cold pools that need alot of TLC - Kids park needs more - Hardy anything to entertain the children, very poor for a family hotel. Sam handful of song at the disco for the kids every night then that’s it - Loads of inside seating space which is hardly used yet the pool table etc is found downstairs in a dingy cellars - Lack of music around the pool - for a family hotel it’s really lacking for children

Habitaciones muy amplias y limpias pero los armarios muy muy pequeños y sin puertas. La piscina muy limpia y cuidada, un poco lejos de la playa, el buffet justito de variedas pero bien de sabor y sin problemas de cantidad vino y agua incluido. Estuvimos en un viaje del INSERSO

teníamos que estar ocho días y hemos salido antes de lo pactado. La comida totalmente repetitiva, en las mesas no hay manteles y a duras penas servilletas , el agua que sirven es malísima, en los postres no hay ni un triste helado de vainilla. Los yogures son puestos en grandes bols. Siendo un Hotel preparado para la visita de personas de la tercera edad, no costaría nada tener yogures individuales como la gelatina individual. Nuestra habitación daba a la piscina reclamamos desde el primer día que el bidet no funcionaba , hemos salido y el bidet todavía está atascado.
