Over the past two years, I have been a frequent guest at this Hotel returning regularly due to my travels. Despite various challenges, I often chose to overlook many of the hotel's shortcomings, hoping for improvements that, unfortunately, never came. However, after much consideration, I feel it’s important to share my experiences to help others make an informed decision. LANGUAGE BARRIER AND COMMUNICATION ISSUES: If you do not speak Amharic, I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The staff’s inability to communicate in English led to numerous misunderstandings during my stays. Requests were often mishandled or completely ignored, and the staff would frequently blame these errors on "miscommunication." This language barrier significantly diminishes the quality of service you receive and leaves you feeling frustrated and underserved. AGING FACILITIES: The hotel's furniture and bedding are in dire need of an upgrade. The mattresses are uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep, and the blankets and other furniture are clearly aged and worn. It’s quite disappointing to see a hotel neglect such fundamental aspects of guest comfort. UNRELIABLE SHUTTLE SERVICE: The shuttle service at this hotel is another major issue. Despite being a customer for two years, I could only use the shuttle service twice. On multiple occasions, I was instructed to take a taxi or find another mode of transportation because the shuttle was supposedly "in the garage." This is especially problematic if you have an early morning flight, as you cannot rely on the hotel’s services to get you to the airport on time. POORLY TRAINED STAFF: The staff at this hotel seem to lack basic customer service training. Their lack of professionalism and inattentiveness further exacerbate the frustrations caused by the language barrier. It’s evident that the staff have not been adequately trained to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality. LACK OF MANAGEMENT OVERSIGHT: It is apparent that the management or owners of the hotel do not prioritize the guest experience. The continued deterioration of services and facilities, coupled with the lack of attention to guest concerns, suggests a significant neglect in managing the property. This indifference from the management only adds to the overall disappointment. After two years of hoping for improvement, I can no longer recommend Moonlight Hotel to others.

The language barrier is a major issue; if you don't speak Amharic, expect constant misunderstandings, as the staff struggles with English. The rooms are outdated, with uncomfortable mattresses and worn furniture, making it hard to relax. The shuttle service is unreliable—rarely available when needed, especially for early flights. Additionally, the staff lacks basic customer service skills, which only adds to the frustration. It's clear that management doesn't prioritize guest experience or maintain the property well. Despite my loyalty, I've seen no improvements, and it's time to look elsewhere.
