La camera è come nelle foto, ma non siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti dell'hotel. Il primo giorno non avevamo asciugamani puliti, c'erano capelli e lanugine, proprio come nel letto. In generale, la stanza non ci è sembrata molto pulita, perché se ti guardavi un po' intorno, potevi vedere sporco, capelli, ecc. ovunque. potrebbe vedere. Anche le ragazze delle pulizie erano davvero ostili con noi, probabilmente perché mia moglie non indossava il velo. Abbiamo sempre dovuto sopportare sguardi sporchi. In generale, le persone alla reception (con poche eccezioni) erano piuttosto ostili e non salutavano mai. La posizione dell'hotel è ottima in quanto si trova su Piazza Taksim, ma era molto rumorosa tutta la notte. Anche la ventilazione era molto rumorosa e produceva cigolii (come freni non oliati) e rumori spiacevoli per tutta la notte. Allo stesso modo, le pareti erano molto sottili e pensavamo di essere nello stesso letto dei nostri vicini. La qualità della colazione era ok (tranne il caffè solubile), ma per noi non era la colazione, ma piuttosto una sorta di antipasto. C'è solo pane bianco e qualche salsa turca, 4 tipi di olive, rucola, salsiccia fredda (1 tipo) e formaggio, frutta secca, mele, arance, yogurt e muesli (è possibile che ce ne sia un po' di più, ma non importa). Da bere c'era acqua del rubinetto (tiepida), Cay, latte e caffè solubile. Non eravamo davvero sazi o soddisfatti della colazione ogni giorno. Sarebbe stato meglio risparmiare al momento della prenotazione e fare colazione nei ristoranti adiacenti. Inoltre per un europeo si tratta di una “colazione” alla quale ci vuole davvero un po’ di tempo per abituarsi. Ad essere onesti, avevamo paura che prima o poi saremmo rimasti bloccati nell'ascensore che stava diventando un po' vecchio; Era anche un peccato non poter raggiungere i piani superiori con l'ascensore e dover sempre camminare. Inoltre vi consiglio di non andare sul balcone, perché lì non vi sentirete più sicuri. (si vedono le case di fronte, che stavano già crollando) Nel complesso, posso dire che non ci siamo sentiti davvero i benvenuti e che se tornassimo a Istanbul, sceglieremmo un altro hotel. Speriamo di essere stati in grado di aiutare alcune persone con la nostra recensione.

Siamo arrivati ​​alle 9 del mattino dopo un viaggio molto lungo e ci hanno fatto entrare prima dell'orario di check-in della camera! La colazione è molto buona e completa. La camera, all'8° piano, pulita, nuova e spaziosa. I lavoratori dell'hotel sono molto utili.

Non comprendo le recensioni, sembrano riferite ad un altro albergo forse perché sono datate. Le camere sono piccole, anche se pulite. La colazione non è molto varia e si consuma in uno spazio ristretto. Alla coppia di nostri amici era stata assegnata una camera nel sottosuolo per la prima notte, nonostante avessimo prenotato da tempo. Non capisco come possa essere definito boutique hotel.

A mio parere, questo hotel è sottovalutato, si trova a un minuto o due da Piazza Taksim e Istiklal Street. L'hotel in sé è pulito e le camere, almeno quella in cui ho soggiornato, offrono molto spazio per riporre e lavorare. Il bagno è molto ben separato dalla camera e i servizi igienici e le docce hanno il proprio spazio. La colazione offre molti piatti diversi tra cui 2 o 3 caldi. Il personale è cordiale e la parte migliore è che il direttore dell'hotel è presente per la maggior parte del tempo e supervisiona il funzionamento dei membri del personale dell'hotel. Non sto paragonando questo hotel a Divan o Shangrila ma a questo prezzo o anche a una fascia leggermente più alta, questo hotel è molto pratico e compete in cima alla lista.

Good location. Excellent customer service. Rooms are quite big size. High speed WiFi. Taksim square and Istiklal street are just 3 minutes walk. Breakfast is average though. Metro station is 5 minutes away. For the price, it’s worth staying there.

Very bad management and doesn't care about guest satisfaction, we booked and paid in advance for 5 nights 5 guests, we faced a problem in the airport and couldn't travel and we asked for cancelation refund, we asked to deduct for one night due to date of arrival passed already and refund the other 4 nights, they refused to assist us with a definite NO! Very poor way to deal with guests that lost every amount they spent on their short vacation! Never booking again its terrible management we spoke to the manager himself and he said ABSOLUTELY NO!!

The Faros was to us by Iglu cruises as a 4 star hotel as part of our cruise holiday. The hotel is definitely not 4 star. That said, the rating on the sign at the hotel was ‘special category’ and our room was very comfortable, if a little dark, and it was clean. There was a kettle and tea/ coffee in the room. The furniture in the room was functional/ industrial. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast had plenty of choice- something to suit visitors different cultures. The street is a bit off putting with what look like derelict buildings and rubble about and the front outlook is a bit grim but it is close to Taksim Square and transport links.

Just returned from Istanbul.We stayed at Faros Taksim Hotel. The hotel is well located, 350 m from Taksim Square, which is an important junction for buses (in the tunnel or above), M2 subway, F1 funicular ; to all directions, including Istanbul airport. There are many small shops and restaurants nearby. Be noted that it is also Faros restaurant with Italian profile, excellent menu, the best pizza, pasta like in Italy, the resturant is 400 m from the hotel. It should be noted that hotel customers have a 15% discount on menu. We stayed in the quadruple room, two interconnected rooms. A large, bright room with 3 single beds, TV, air heater, bathroom with toilet and shower, a kitchenette with bottles of water, mini fridge. The other room has a double king size bed, also with TV, air heater and bathroom with shower. It also has bottled water, a coffee maker and sachets of instant coffee, coffee creamer, tea, sugar. Very hospitable everything. The cleaning ladies are very attentive. For example, at first night we had approached together 2 single beds and next day the ladies arranged them with a double mattress on top , so we rested even better. All beds are high, with memory mattresses, very comfortable. The breakfast is good with eggs, salads,great various cheese, fruits, vegetables, milk, yogurt, tea, coffee at your discretion. I chose this hotel considering the proximity to means of transport, its location in Galata side but also because of the good reviews for meals. The staff at the reception is friendly, English speakers, full of kindness, they recommended the best options and transport links for the objectives we wanted to visit. Only 2 things would be negative, but it is not the hotel's fault, they are not to blame. - There is a night club somewhere on a parallel street with music all night long (starts after midnight until 4 o'clock). But the rooms' windows are insulated and if you close them, the noise comes to silence. - And mosquitoes in the rooms, but we faced this all over the city of Istanbul , at the Blue Mosque ,at Topkapi ,on the shores of the Bosphorus. We bought a mosquito spray from the nearby pharmacy and solve a liile bit the problem. We felt very good , everything is well organized, I recommend this hotel and bravo to the entire staff for their efforts to keep everything clean and organized.

Its a very well located and beautiful hotel ! The staff are very friendly. They dont know english very well but they are professionals at their jobs. I got our room with like 50% discount (limited offer) so it was a great experience considering the money we spent ! The only problem was the noise from the next room, especially in the morning . I called the reception for it and they gave them a call. We were on the 4th floor, despite the sealed windows there were noises from close clubs until 4am , it was tolerable Oh and very nice breakfast ! It was delicious with a wide variety . About 3-4min to taksim and there you could go anywhere you like with bus, metro or tramva Overall it was a very positive experience for me and my partner

We had a nice stay, lovely turkish breakfast, friendly staff The staff really made our stay pleasant and were always available. Very convenient location to Taksim square The rooms were comfortable, reasonably priced hotel.
