My non-smoking room smelled of smoke. Fortunately the staff were exceptional, and I soon received another room. One staff told me that because the room was ”Japanese Style”, and that I had to take the bedding from the closet, move the low table and make up my own futon. I live in Japan and I know what a ”Japanese Style” room is. Ryokans of a good grade will have staff make up the futons. When a hotel is too large, the work of making up the futons for all rooms becomes onerous, however, one wonders why ”five star hotel” if one has to make up one's own futon AND receive education on what a ”Japanese Style” room entails [ I am in the hotel business]. The lobby is bleak and looks cheap. No style, no charm. The seating is ugly and cheap. There are real plants here and there but no cut flowers. Cut flowers are very expensive in Japan. Too expensive for this hotel. The final point is that I booked this specific hotel in order to take a swim. Although the weather was fine, the pool had closed the day before I arrived. The pool was still full of water, perfect and peaceful, but ”closed”. No doubt, this saves on staff and other expenses, in the same way that making up one's own futon does . . . all this is fine for a hostel, but not for a luxury hotel. I have been generous with my star-giving because I like to be kind, and because several of the staff were truly exceptional in their kindness and service, however, we hope that the management will note our comments. Please pay for more staff and please keep your pool open as long as the weather permits. Global warming means pools can stay open longer. :-)

Il bus di bambù è solo un viaggio sconveniente. Se vuoi andare alla stazione di bambù è molto conveniente. La macchina di vendita automatica non ha latte, ma c'è birra, la notte e il giorno ha un pannello gratuito. La stanza è grande e confortevole, ma non c'è nessuna struttura di bambù, caldo e confortevole, e c'è un riassunto storico.

Un soggiorno eccezionale! Il servizio di servizio frontale superava le aspettative con la loro attenzione e professionalità. Il personale era costantemente amichevole, rendendo l'esperienza ancora più piacevole. La struttura è stata incredibilmente comoda e si è rilassata e si è trovata in una posizione molto confortevole.

The location is mentioned to be about 5 or 7 minutes from the station, depending on where you read about it. I think it's more like 8-10. It's not far, but not close enough to walk luggage comfortably. I want to give the place 5 stars, but I also want to give it 2 stars. The service was good. They helped shuttle us around through the rain. The lady that served our dinner was very patient and helpful. Unfortunately, there is a big problem. The room we received has no view of the Maruyama river or garden, although it is advertised as such in pictures and descriptions on website. Our rooms had a view of the parking lot and the road, which the front desk referred to as a ”mountain” view. I'm sorry, but this just isn't a good practice. You MUST make this as a different type of room with different price and let customers decide the value. I would not have booked if I had known this. There is also another small problem. The dinner was overall quite good, but I saw some other customers received different dinners with the full snow crab and sake. We received part of a snow crab and cheap white wine. I am confused. It would help to have an explanation. Otherwise I can't help but feel these problems are because I am not a Japanese customer.

Everything was amazing. Great dinner kaiseki was delicious. And breakfast also. Stuff was very friendly, speak english, always helped. Good location, if you go outside the ryokan you'll find a beautiful path through nature, and little local streets. I recommend you not to take transfer, but to go by yourself from the station enjoying views. Comfortable onsen with instructions for foreigners. For me it was memorable experience. I want ro visit this place again ☺️

All'arrivo, l'hotel ci ha dato 2 biglietti d'acquario gratis accanto all'hotel. Il personale era molto amichevole e utile con il parcheggio valet e il nostro bagaglio. La stanza che eravamo in aveva una vista fantastica e è spaziosa. È una stanza di stile giapponese e il personale ha dovuto venire a mettere fuori futon per noi intorno al pranzo. Abbiamo notato che usano acqua salata nel bagno e nei cani invece di acqua cloradata come molti altri hotel cani che abbiamo soggiornato in passato. Ci sono 2 ristoranti nel hotel ma si apre piuttosto tardi alle 7 e 8 pm, quindi non abbiamo potuto provare. La colazione è la stessa cosa per tutto il tempo che stiamo per soggiornare, ma sono abbastanza decente, quindi non ci sono denunce.

Nice, modern and new hotel in Kinosaki onsen with great hospitality from the hotel owner and his staff. I was welcomed by the owner at the door when I arrived, and they even prepared a beautiful greeting card on my arrival. Welcome drink was provided and the owner recommended good restaurants and provided the USP of each onsen in Kinosaki. The room is spacious, clean and new! I especially like the Japanese style of the hotel. Yutaka and 1-day onsen pass were provided for my stay. As the next day I had to move to another hotel, the owner very kindly helped me to transport my luggage to another hotel near the JR station. Overall, excellent stay, excellent people and excellent breakfast! :) Would love to visit Kinosaki onsen again and stay with Utsuroi Tsuchiya.

Grande esperienza! Ci siamo stati molto tempo a stare all'hotel. Ci sono diversi punti di onsen all'hotel. Il cibo è piuttosto bello e delicato, stile kaiki. E 'più lontano dalla strada principale ma più tranquillo e ha una migliore vista.

We had an amazing stay at Arimasansoh Goshobessho! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, with a warm and friendly welcome. The hotel & rooms itself are incredibly comfy and cozy, with a warm, intimate atmosphere and a delightful wood scent that adds to its charm. The amenities were excellent, and every detail was thoughtfully prepared to ensure a relaxing experience. The breakfast was delicious and exceeded our expectations (very good French toast, and onion soup) such a great way to start the day! A special thank-you to the hotel staff for their kindness and efficiency in returning the Apple Watch we accidentally left behind—it was much appreciated! Highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and memorable getaway.
