An absolutely magical stay on the bay in Eastern Iceland — easily one of the most memorable cabins we stayed in during our trip. The location is simply spectacular. Waking up to seals swimming in the water and then lazing along the shore right in front of the cabin felt almost surreal. It’s the kind of place where you could happily spend hours just looking out at the bay and watching the wildlife go by. The cabin itself was beautifully designed, cosy and exceptionally well equipped. The hosts had thought of so many little details that elevated the stay — from good-quality cookware and a well-stocked kitchenette to spices, pasta and rice in the pantry, luxurious Icelandic herbal teas, a generous selection of Nespresso capsules and welcome chocolates waiting for us on arrival. These thoughtful touches made it feel far more like a boutique retreat than simply a cabin stay. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, and despite its compact size, the kitchenette and washroom were thoughtfully designed and completely functional. We especially loved the telescope provided for wildlife spotting — such a brilliant addition given the incredible surroundings. And, of course, the sunroof was a highlight in itself. There is something incredibly special about lying in bed and looking up at the Icelandic sky (would be amazing during Aurora season)! Peaceful, intimate and surrounded by nature, yet with all the comforts you could ask for. Between the seals at our doorstep, the beautiful bay views and all the thoughtful details inside, this was a truly special Icelandic stay and one we would return to in a heartbeat.

Very helpful staff and the bed is really comfortable. The common areas are a bit dated and the bathroom is a problem in that the position of the sink makes it hard to use and the shower floods the bathroom unless you built a towel wall to contain the water to the shower but then you have sopping wet towels to deal with. The shower setup is the kind of thing you have to put up with in India and other 3rd world countries. This place is not close to any grocery stores so you have limited food options. I had the dinner buffet which was good but fairly expensive.

Entorno privilegiado, casa muy coqueta. Cama cómoda e incluso cojines extras por si necesitábamos. Desayuno bueno,la anfitriona nos dejó en la nevera comida a nuestra disposición. A la casa no le faltaba ningún detalle, zapatillas, chaquetas por si teníamos frío. Aparte de la cocina, tenía otra ”zona” con Sillones con cafetera Nespresso al lado y tacitas,libros,... Se nota que la casa está preparada con ”mimo” para que nos sintamos a gusto. A mejorar las toallas que ya estaban demasiado usadas, eso sí, limpias.

La posizione geografica è molto buona. Ci sono supermercati vicino, molto conveniente, l'alloggio può essere visto in montagna di prato.L'apparecchiatura di cucina pubblica è completa, la stanza è pulita e il bagno è più sottile.

Dovrebbe essere accuratamente calcolato un piccolo villaggio di vacanza costruito dal contadino. Non c'è colazione e cena. Il tipo di casa è una piccola casa di legno con due camere piastrelle. C'è una piattaforma estensibile che può guardare lontano dalla montagna di prato. Adatto per alcuni amici e soggiornare. Diese liebevoll eingerichtete Unterkunft ist in bester Lage, sauber und gut zu erreichen. Es gibt dort eine komplett eingerichtete Küche, in der man sich jederzeit selbst versorgen kann. Die Einrichtungsgegenstände sind liebevoll gewählt aus „Oma‘s Zeiten“ und für mich hatte es einen ganz besonderen Charme! Unser Zimmer war groß und geräumig und enthielt alles was man zum übernachten braucht!

Comfy and cosy homestay. Love the deco in the house. Will definitely come back here if visit Iceland again.

Si trova sulla penisola di Spencer, ogni stanza è una piccola casa di legno indipendente. La stanza non è grande ma è in buona posizione. L'apertura della porta è il panorama del mare. È piena di braccia alzate e al sole e girate!
