We loved the bed and room size. The tea bags and biscuits were replenished everyday which was a nice touch. The location is slightly away from Main Street but once orientated it’s actually very easy and convenient. Breakfast was good, prepared in a very English way. So all in great stay.

Great reception staff. The room was advertised as a ‘cosy double’ but it was a huge bed, huge room and small bathroom. The breakfast had an excellent selection which you could help yourself to. The one downside was that the walls were quite thin so you could hear people in the next room or talking while passing along the corridor.

Room wasn't hoovered or dusted.co webs everywhere and bits all over the floor..coffee machine in the room didn't work.bathhroom radiator didn't work and water was cold so could have a bath or a shower.

Un bel posto per fermarsi su un lungo viaggio. Perfettamente posizionato per lunghe condotte dove hai bisogno di una pausa. Molto pulito, proprio come ogni camera ha un bagno. La colazione è eccellente e hanno un bel bar per pranzo e riunioni di lavoro. Si è fermato qui diverse volte, flessibile circa l'ora di arrivo.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel during my visit to York. The room was clean and stylish, offering a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. One of the biggest advantages was the hotel’s convenient location. York is a compact city, and from the hotel, it was easy to walk to the city centre. This made it incredibly convenient to return to the hotel for a short rest before heading out again. The complimentary coffee and croissants provided were not only delicious but also very convenient, especially for a quick breakfast or snack. Additionally, the staff at the front desk were exceptionally friendly and responsive, promptly addressing any questions or requests I had. That said, there were a couple of minor inconveniences. The laundry facilities seemed poorly maintained, which might be an issue for longer stays, though it wasn’t a significant problem for my two-night visit. Another issue was that all the power in the room was controlled by the keycard, and alternative cards couldn’t be used. This meant that every time I left the room, all power, including charging devices or heating, was turned off. It was a bit inconvenient, especially during colder weather. Overall, despite these minor drawbacks, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel for its excellent location, clean rooms, and helpful staff.

This was a treat from me to myself. I had a fabulous time at Middlethorpe Hall. From the spa to the dinner to the breakfast and treatment the next morning. It was a dream. The garden is also very pleasant to walk around and every single staff member I crossed paths with made sure I felt welcome. I highly recommend!

The location is good and a walking distance to key places of interest. The room were clean and services were good. However, there is need to improve where dinner is served as it is just like in the reception area with chairs and tables not meant for dinner. The first day looked like there was less preparation for guests as other guests together with us were frustrated after making orders only to wait too long to be told that the choice was not available. Otherwise the staff are sociable and ready to help and serve.

Really nice place , brilliant value, clean rooms with nice bathroom products all the staff really pleasant helga on reception was lovely and the spa was a bonus with free towels and padlocks at the spa reception paid a lot more for a lot less great parking for £6 def use them again rooms are really well appointed , safe, iron hairdryer good amount of teas coffees and milk only minus is it could use a fridge

Absolutely beautiful hotel in a great location, 5 minute walk from the city. Inside the hotel is amazing and quite grand. We choose a garden view room which was a bit small but the view was amazing, all the way to the minster. Breakfast can get a bit busy as the area is small but it was nice. The spa was lovely but again small and can get busy. Overall a beautiful hotel in an ideal location.

Il costo dell'alloggio non corrispondeva al livello di servizio che ci aspettavamo. Tuttavia, la piscina è limitata a strani momenti per le famiglie, come durante il colazione e la cena, quando la metà del giorno sarebbe più adatto. Anche qualcuno ci ha cacciato quando ha lasciato il bagno per restituire le tole che due bambini usavano, piuttosto che permettere di lasciarle nella nostra stanza per la custodia di casa per raccogliere. La casa ha fatto due turni per mandare lo shampoo nella nostra stanza, dopo un'amichevole chiamata, hanno inviato gel di doccia al posto. In sintesi, cibo e strutture grandi, ma è un po' difficile con i bambini essere lì e il servizio nel bagno e nel servizio di custodia non è disponibile.
