We stayed in a 1 bed lodge. The property had everything you need and the washing machine/ tumble was a great addition and we were also given a few wash sheets- bonus.It was also fully equipped with the little things that makes the stay more enjoyable/ comfortable such as kitchen roll/ tea towels/ liquid/ coffee/ tea/ milk sachets and shower gel/ shampoo. The heater in the bathroom was also great to offload wet towels from the pool. The house itself was good. The only thing that would have made it a tad better was a little bit more attention to cleanliness detail. However I am certain that had we pointed this out to staff this would have been rectified as they did with a request for change of bedding. On the flip side, if it had been overly spotless I probably wouldn’t have relaxed either with our 2 children. In all, we cannot complain for price we paid. The events put on was a lovely surprise as we didn’t expect this. This ranged from bingo, bouncy castle and a magic show. The different food vans each evening were a lovely touch. We only tried the chicken curry on a Monday evening and to be honest, we thought it lacked on flavour. The peacocks were super amazing wondering around and the three little ducks. Lovely location to go out and explore we went to Bucks Mill ( beautiful) Bute ( beautiful) and Westwood Ho! Also nice for a bit more ambient. Also, if you have children, the milkyway adventure park is a lovely addition and takes about 25 minutes.

Second time staying at this hotel- bed is comfortable, clean, room is quiet, during low season is really good value for money. Lovely hotel overall! Parking for 24 hours is £15.

The hotel and area was fantastic, however, service at the front desk and the restaurant was lacking. We took a long weekend break and were excited to try the beach club, however our experience was dampened by the service. Being made to stand around for 5 minutes, whilst being told we hadn't paid (when we had) was unnecessary and frankly embarrassing. The restaurant was the most disappointing part of the stay. I'm the evening service was slow, followed by having our order wrong twice and also dropped. Breakfast at the restaurant was lacking compared to cheaper hotels that offer continental. Small selection , nothing outstanding. When we ordered a cooked breakfast, it took 30-40 minutes to receive some eggs and pancakes although the restaurant was fairly quiet. However, the room, facilities, and the spa were fantastic. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. The beach club outside was gorgeous. The spa was perfect and treatments were, to quote my partner, 'one of the best massages of my life'. We're unsure if we would come back. Although the facilities were great, the service was mostly subpar and not what we'd expect from a harbour hotel.

A simply Devine hotel with such historical charm  The charismatic entrance foyer draws you into this wonderful exquisite reception area We had the upmost pleasure in staying on New Years Eve  & were greeted with a lovely glass of free champagne in letting the New year in  They also had a really good modern band playing the finest of music in one of their opulent rooms  We would grant this very fine hotel a definite 5 Stars experience  Many thanks

In precedenza, è stato inviato un email per chiedere se il parcheggio era disponibile e si è detto sì, parcheggio in loco, non è arrivato a trovare parcheggio e si deve parcheggiare in un parcheggio pubblico (e pagare) sulla collina dall'hotel. Il manager si scusò e ha rinunciato al controllo precoce di 20 sterline, dopo che si consigliava di mostrare il match inglese nel bar e le bevande sarebbero 3 per 2. Tornato all'hotel per guardare e approfittare di essere detto dal barista che le gocce non funzionavano e perché non poteva lavorare il 30% delle bevande che non avevano offerto nessun 3 per 2 e cosa volevamo che facesse su di esso. Purtroppo, il servizio clienti è povero, che non è quello che mi aspettavo e non mi piacerebbe rimanere di nuovo.

It's hard to review this time because booking was moved to the Mercure next door. I understand why but I do prefer the Ibis. NOTE this review relates to Mercure Paignton. Staff friendly and welcoming and though room had everything I needed it was dark. The privacy panel on the window and the dark furniture made it too dark for me. Am not a black and gold person, prefer light and bright. That being said facilities were great, bed very comfortable and show hot and powerful. One downside was TV remote, had a nightmare and needed to 'Google' to work out how to use it. I didnt eat onsite.

This was just an overnight stop for convenience but was actually a lovely hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet, clean, comfortable, nice to have cold water dispensers in the halls too! Didn't get full points on location as we found it a bit confusing trying to find the actual entrance that led to the carpark for it, but I think that was more google maps had sent us the wrong way round. So just something to pay attention to if using google maps for navigation. Would definitely stay again.

Abbiamo soggiornato solo per una notte, un'esperienza molto migliore di quanto ci aspettavamo, vista alcune delle recenti revisioni. La camera era grande e pulita, e il bagno era molto pulito e aveva una bella, spaziosa doccia. Il letto era comodo e dormivamo bene. Il nostro unico negativo era che il parco auto era assolutamente pieno quando arrivammo alle 3:30 pm ... e il personale che ci controllava non poteva avere meno cura!

In generale, un grande soggiorno, i ricevitori erano benvenuti, anche se un po’ più di sforzo avrebbe potuto andare a dire me verso la stanza, perché i terreni sono così grandi, ho perso un po’. Al momento di entrare nell’edificio dove si trovava la mia stanza, il telaio deve essere certamente rinnovato, la mia stanza era bella e pulita. Aveva un bastone, un tavolo di ferro e un ferro che mi collocavano molto, aveva anche due guardie, uno con una caldaia in alto e uno con le maniche all’interno; i terreni sono bellissimi, il giardino è spettacolare, sarebbe un luogo perfetto per un matrimonio. Il personale di White Hart è bello e il servizio clienti che forniscono è stato grande. Grazie. Il venerdì hanno avuto una banda vivente (maschio/donna) cantando i vecchi classici per il giorno della VE che era grande. Il cibo era anche bello. Io sarei rimasto qui.

Booked two rooms for a family stay. Stayed on the hottest weekend in May ever! One room freezing the other boiling. The air conditioning is not as reliable! Rooms again varied. Although I chose the same one was spacious and airy the other a bit more crammed I was told check in was FROM 3pm and we were not allowed in till 4.30 what complicated our plans. The breakfast is good but super busy. Not enough staff to manage the demand. Felt bad for the staff running around! Overall good! Great location!
