Hotel a 4 stelle in Prefettura di Akita, Giappone

We drove to the hotel and appreciated the big free parking available. We also noted the proximity of the train station, so location wise, it is convenient yet gives the sense of seclusion which is perfect for relaxation. Check in was a breeze, the English proficiency of the receptionist with the printed information in English good enough. the Onsen was large and the outdoor part was a joy! i particularly enjoyed my time there soaking in the hot water, listening to the sound of the flowing river and watching the fauna. food spread, quality and quantity at both dinner and breakfast was excellent. i noted that the staffs were diligently topping up items that were running out even to later in the meal times, unlike some places where they may just not do so. We booked a room with open air bath and it was worth the money for it! would totally do that again when i return and highly recommended. must compliment the lounge with their welcome drinks and rice crackers which you can help yourself to. although its just rice crackers, it a nice touch, perhaps adding some nuts is my only suggestion. would highly recommend this place to stay if around, in fact we deliberately chose to stay here to break our journey from Hirosaki to Morioka, so glad we did!

The hotel itself was nice and clean. The rooms are spacious. There's a heater and dehumidifier in the room. Food is buffet breakfast and dinner. We were in the west wing which requires a bit of a walk to get to the room. And the main inconvenience is there is a flight of stairs to get up before having an elevator to the room floor. The outdoor onsen is in a different section to the indoor onsen. The hotel is certainly geared for skiers as everything closes during the middle of the day (souvenir shop, onsen). So make sure you have activities booked in advance. The website of the hotel is also a bit confusing with the number in-house activities available - be sure to check with the front counter first. Peak hour staff has good command in English but need translation for night staff. A few things of note: - the shuttle is very busy at the 3pm and 10am run - make sure you pre-book - there is a shuttle to tsurunoyu iriguchi onsen 鶴の湯温泉 from a bus stop near the hotel, no need to take the public bus

An absolute gem! The views stunning, and food is exquisite. The rooms are all recently renovated with wood and in a minimalist style. The hotel had a faint fragrance of cedar? Our rooms each had ocean-facing private baths and panoramic sunset views. I feel so recharged and replenished. The setting is remote but actually not that hard to get to given Japan’s excellent transportation system. It’s 3.8 hours from Tokyo to Akita and then a lovely 50 minutes local train ride to Oga. The ryokan will pick you up. (We opted to book a local shuttle bus as we were seven people with luggage and opted to stop at the Namahage museum beforehand to learn about local lore.) The hotel has a really fun aquarium nearby which kids loved—polar bears, penguins are the main attractions but we also enjoyed the jellyfish and deep sea local fish exhibits. Highly, highly recommend staying here. The staff was incredibly helpful and gracious. Teisui is in on my list as a place to revisit.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel in Japan. One highlight was how fast and efficient the hotel check-in process was. And the overnight parking is available at a nearby building for ¥1,000. The room was considered spacious compared to typical hotels in Japan, which made the stay very comfortable. They also provided all essential amenities. Breakfast was another plus, offering a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Located in a remote part of the lake, this hotel is has a great view of the lake and a marvellous garden The rooms are large with western beds as as as tatami futons I had the lake view room. Magnificent view Unfortunately in early spring, the spectacular autumnal foliage shown in the all the posters were absent The onsen do have a great view but again in spring time there was nothing much to see except the lawn and the bare trees We did not take dinner here but breakfast was decent Good place for zen relaxation.

La stanza dovrebbe essere ridecorata. Ho vissuto molti hotel caldi prima. Questa casa è l'unica insetto. Non ho paura. La cena e' buona, la colazione e'un po' semplice, l'acqua calda e calda sono generalmente

La camera era stata effettivamente ristrutturata, ma il bagno no, era molto vecchio e piccolissimo, non ci si poteva nemmeno girare quando ci si sedeva per usare il water, e lo stesso valeva per la vasca da bagno. Questa stanza è al terzo piano, di fronte al tetto, quindi la vista è un po' bloccata. C'è una stanza per animali domestici accanto, e un cane abbaia tutto il tempo. Il vantaggio è che il cibo è ricco e delizioso, il pernottamento e due pasti sono un prezzo molto conveniente. Nelle vicinanze c'era un ruscello con molta neve, ma l'hotel non forniva servizi di escursioni, quindi non abbiamo potuto andarci. Sotto l'hotel ci sono impianti sciistici ricreativi, ma sono aperti fino a tardi.

Amazing stay. The staff service is immaculate, took the stay with food option (includes breakfast + dinner). It's right in front of Lake Tazawako. There's both a public and private onsen (first come first serve, usage for 40 mins).

La camera era pulita e ordinata, con una splendida vista dalla finestra, e il servizio in camera era cordiale e attento. L'aspetto più notevole è stato il servizio in camera rapido e premuroso. Quando la temperatura della camera è scesa in serata, l'hotel ha immediatamente provveduto alla riparazione dell'aria condizionata e ha fornito riscaldamento supplementare e coperte, riscaldando immediatamente la stanza. Ci tornerei sicuramente la prossima volta che sarò ad Akita.

A nice hotel. We drove there and parked the car in the hotel car park which is a mechanical car park. Just make sure you’re prepared to quickly remove the luggage you need before the car is stored away for the night. Parking at the nearby car park at ground level would have been about the same price and probably more convenient for us, our fault for not researching properly. The staff were very pleasant. The hotel is fairly close to the central park and not that far from the train station. There’s a 7 Eleven down the stairs of the hotel.
