Hotel a 4 stelle in Tasmania, Australia

If you have an early morning flight departing from Hobart Airport and do not have a car (for example, if you have already returned your rental car), I do not recommend staying at this hotel. Even though it is close to the airport, you may face serious transportation issues like the one I experienced. The hotel is located about 1.8 km from Hobart Airport. By car or taxi, it takes around 5 minutes. However, if you walk, Google Maps shows it takes approximately 25–30 minutes. On 13 December 2025 at around 5:00 PM, I asked the front desk staff to help me pre-book a taxi with 13CABS for the next morning, using my Australian local number from my eSIM. After the booking was completed, I received an SMS confirming my 13CABS request, including the pickup date and time, as well as a tracking link. On the morning of 14 December, I checked out very early at 5:45 AM. At that time, the front desk was closed, so I returned the key card at the counter. I then opened the tracking link from the SMS to check the taxi’s location. I could see a car on the map, but it appeared to be quite far away. I decided to wait. As the pickup time approached, I went outside to wait at the drop-off area, but no taxi arrived. I checked the tracking link again and found that the car was no longer coming. At 5:54 AM, I received another SMS from 13CABS saying: “Hi this is 13 CABS. We are sorry for the delay, we hope to have a vehicle to 1 Holyman, CAMBRIDGE shortly. Do you still require a taxi? Please reply Y/N.” I replied “Y” immediately. After waiting another five minutes with no further updates, I started to feel very anxious. At that point, I met a couple from Hong Kong who were experiencing the same issue—the taxi they had pre-booked also did not arrive. I then called the after-hours reception number provided by the hotel. The staff member was very helpful and advised me to contact 13CABS directly to make a new booking. When I called 13CABS, the operator made a new booking for me and sent another SMS confirmation. However, after waiting for quite a while, there was still no taxi. I asked the Hong Kong couple, and they told me their taxi was supposedly on the way. About five minutes later, a taxi finally stopped at the drop-off area. The couple checked with the driver—it was not their booked taxi. I then asked the driver, and it was not booked under my name either. However, the driver explained that he was waiting in the airport queue and had received a call from head office instructing him to pick up passengers from Mantra Hobart Airport and take them to Hobart Airport. In the end, both the Hong Kong couple and I shared that taxi. The driver charged me AUD 21 and charged the couple AUD 21 as well. In conclusion, staying here is risky if you have an early morning flight, even though the hotel is close to the airport. You may encounter serious issues arranging transportation in the early hours and risk missing your flight. That morning, while I was waiting at the drop-off area, I also saw a man walking from the hotel toward the airport, pulling his suitcase. Unfortunately, it was raining at the time, and the weather was cold, making the situation even worse.

Molto buon soggiorno in generale. Circa 10 minuti a piedi da tutta la giornata per prendere le località (ad esempio Brooke Street Pier). Le strutture erano sorprendenti e i membri del personale del desk front sono stati molto supportivi e utili. La camera era grande e ci sono stati ripuliti ogni giorno, abbiamo visitato la piscina e abbiamo anche usato la palestra durante il nostro soggiorno - molto buone strutture. Il muro del bagno era un po' pensato, come potevamo ascoltare le persone vicino alla porta, ma la stanza era completamente buona - non poteva ascoltare una cosa. Raccomanderò a tutti i tipi di viaggiatori e si fermerà certamente di nuovo se visitaremo ancora Hobart!

This is a very nice hotel with high rise hotels and lower rise buildings of rooms which are quieter and next to the water. The view is fabulous, services is great and there are lots of restaurants and bars around. I will recommend this place to anyone visiting Hobart.

Request a room far away from lift, then I got a last number of the floor but actually close to lift which only separated from the lift by one staircase. Poor sound insulation, all people walk through door can be heard.

Extremely Terrible Experience – Inhumane & Unacceptable Service I am writing this review to strongly condemn this hotel’s extremely cold-blooded and unethical service, and to warn all travelers never to stay here. 1. Inhumane treatment of an elderly guest with serious health conditions Check-out time is 10:00 AM, which is already unreasonably early. It was raining heavily that day, with nowhere to go. My father, nearly 70 years old, with 3 heart stents and long-term hypertension, felt unwell and exhausted from the trip, and desperately needed to rest longer. I communicated politely multiple times and even offered to pay extra to extend check-out until 12:00 noon, but was ruthlessly refused every time. I had already checked out one of the two rooms early; I only asked to keep one room for my father to rest. The staff were extremely harsh, rigid, and totally lacking in empathy. They only allowed a 1-hour extension until 11:00 AM, and spoke to me in a very severe and accusatory tone, as if we had committed a mistake. 2. Severe service failure upon check-in I had asked Ctrip to inform the hotel 3 DAYS in advance that I booked two rooms, one requiring twin beds. However, I still had to wait 2 FULL HOURS for them to rearrange the beds on the day of check-in. 3. Extremely poor value for money I spent over HK$9,000 for two rooms for one night, only to receive zero care and respect for an elderly guest with serious medical conditions. This hotel has no compassion, no service ethics, no humanity. Absolutely unacceptable. Strongly NOT recommended. 极差体验 —— 冷漠无情、毫无医德的服务 我写这条评价，是为了强烈谴责这家酒店极其冷血、毫无职业道德的服务，并警告所有旅客千万不要入住。 1. 对高龄重病长辈冷漠无情 酒店退房时间为上午10点，本就远早于大多数酒店。 当天下大雨，无处可去。 我父亲年近70岁，心脏装有3个支架，长期高血压，旅途劳累身体不适，急需多休息。 我多次礼貌沟通，甚至主动提出付费延到12点退房，均被无情拒绝。 我已经提前退掉一间房，只希望保留一间让父亲休息。 工作人员态度极其强硬、冷漠、毫无同理心。 最终只勉强同意延到11点，且语气严厉、态度恶劣，仿佛我们犯了错。 2. 入住服务严重失职 我已提前3天通过携程明确要求：两间房，其中一间为双床房。 结果入住当天仍被迫等待2小时，酒店才临时拆分床铺。 3. 性价比极差、体验恶劣 我一晚两间房共消费9000多港币，却换来对高龄病患客人的无视与不尊重。 这家酒店毫无同情心、毫无服务底线、毫无人情味。 完全无法接受，强烈不推荐！

Un posto fantastico, situato nella zona scena di montagna di rock.Ci vogliono solo due minuti per guidare alla santuario dei Devils e al centro turistico.La piccola casa di legno è stata progettata ragionevolmente, con una piazza e spesso ci sono piccoli animali per ”ciao” alla piazza.La piccola sala è molto calda e gli utensili della cucina sono completi. Abbiamo passato due notti molto felici qui.

L'hotel è molto bello, la posizione è anche grande. Tuttavia la stanza si sente molto stufa, il balcone è chiuso solo una piccola finestra è lasciata aperta e la finestra dello schermo è incredibilmente polvere, non credo mai stato pulito. Anche la custodia è molto poco professionale, e lei è entrata senza nemmeno colpire la porta alle 9:00 mentre noi dormono, solo dire ”ciao” quando la porta è stata aperta.

La posizione era al bordo del CBD.. quindi quando guidava dalle periferie, raggiunge rapidamente. Parcheggio overnight è circa 15-20 dollari. La stanza era piccola e ho pagato per aggiornarla con microonde.

Il nostro soggiorno è stato assolutamente amorevole al Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge. L’intero posto si sentiva così tranquillo e confortevole, circondato dalla natura e dall’aria fresca di montagna. La nostra cabina era calda, comoda e svegliata fino al bellissimo paesaggio ogni mattina era un trattamento così. Abbiamo anche notato le mura fuori! L'atmosfera di alloggio era sorprendente, perfetta per rilassarsi dopo un lungo giorno di esplorazione della montagna di Cradle. Uno dei più memorabili soggiorni del nostro viaggio in Tasmania, non volevamo sinceramente andar via.

A quaint hotel close to the historic Port Arthur site. We were given a cosy 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen, lounge and dining area so we cooked the food we already had. Great service from the reception staff. Can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't eat there. I would definitely stay there again. No hesitation in recommending this budget hotel for accommodation.
