As a diamond member, This hotel is the most DISGUSTING hotel I’ve ever been too. Not only is it disgusting but the staff are so ignorant and rude. The room was filthy. Hair in the tub, under the sink is full of vomit, no toilet paper, the bed sheets were dirty, the covers were black instead I white. The bathroom light didn’t work we was forced to get dressed and shower in the dark using our phone flash lights. After numerous attempts they still never came to fix it. They screamed at the kids wanting to buy snacks at the suite shop. They also told them they couldn’t use the lobby bathroom because there was too many kids. (3). The pool water was so dark green and so much nasty things floating in the water.Asked housekeeping for extra towels my room had only 2 & they completely ignored me. I would NEVERRRR come here again and I hope NOBODY STAYS AT THIS FILTHY PLACE with the most ignorant staff.

In Providence, I had not yet stayed at this Homewood Suites, so I decided to give it a try. It was a stopover on the way by train to Boston, so I found it extremely convenient, a few blocks away from the station. I was surprised that this hotel did not offer a Digital Key, because it would have allowed me to bypass the odd arrangement of the entrance on the street level and the front desk on the second level. So I had to stop at the desk to claim my plastic old school card key. The desk staff was professional and described the hotel and features, as well as mentioning breakfast down on the street level. My Diamond status was recognized. My room was the one I had chosen during the online advance check-in the day before arrival. As it was a suite, it was certainly spacious. But.... the HVAC was hard to control, if at all. The outdoor temperature went down to the low 40's, and so I would have liked to have my room warmer than it was. Turning the thermostat higher just displayed the higher temperature but did not make the temperature higher. Unfortunately this was realized when I was ready to go to bed, so I wasn't going to contact anyone to rectify it that late. I found the bathroom to also be spacious, with enough room to put my toiletries on the counter. Because of the room temperature I opted not to take a shower that morning, so I cannot vouch for whether there was any issue with hot water. Breakfast.... I did not expect much. It was buffet style but limited selection. I did have scrambled eggs. I was bothered in the morning before my planned departure from the room and well before check-out time by Housekeeping knocking on my door. I thought that they only come in between guests. I had to yell that I would be out within half an hour. All in all, a great location but the lesson learned is to check the temperature control earlier in your stay if possible.

A very well appointed hotel conveniently located in the historic downtown adjacent to RISD and an easy, if uphill walk, to Brown, with a number of decent restaurants nearby. The furnishings, bathroom, and linens were all of high quality. Despite other reviews I found the staff to be rather limited in their engagement versus the friendliness praised elsewhere, but nothing off-putting. The restaurant Bellini tries to punch a bit above its weight though for Providence it’s decent. Overall by far the best hotel in Providence but still a stretch from true five star luxury or a genuine upscale business hotel like Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental.

For the cost per night of this hotel ($450 per night for the 1 King Bed room) I was expecting something nicer and roomier. The room had no closet/dresser to store clothes nor did it have a full length mirror or a safe, which feel like standard things to expect in a room, especially one being marketed as “more boutique/upscale” for this area. The shower situation in the bathroom is quite annoying. It is a narrow, stall style shower, but instead of having a glass door, there is a thin bath curtain that sticks to your body the entire time. Also, since there is no tight seal, water gets absolutely everywhere. The front desk/check-in receptionist was not from the area and was not able to provide any bar/restaurant recommendations when asked. It would make more sense to place people familiar with the area in customer facing roles. Lastly, we checked into our room Saturday afternoon and when we left the next day (late morning) the trash was in the same spot, unattended to. Both discarded items in front of various rooms and large contractor style trash bags that clearly came from Housekeeping/Janitorial staff etc. The smell and visual left little to be desired. Next time I am in Providence I would choose to stay elsewhere.

E'un hotel amichevole per gli animali domestici. Ho visto molti cani portati da turisti, Non è lontano dal centro commerciale e dalla stazione accanto, può camminare.La prossima volta ci prenoteremo qui.

I have visited this Hampton many many times. It’s one of my favorite. My last stay at the end of January didn’t meet the expectations set by my at least 20+ other stays. Empty shampoo and conditioner bottles, dirty wet face cloth in the shower. Breakfast wasn’t great, things were empty in the 9am hour and I couldn’t find a staff member in the area and the desk attendant had three people waiting. I ultimately didn’t get anything. I had a Do Not Disturb sign on the door and house keeping was knocking three hours before check out. I had a very stressful issue at my house that caused damage. I came here to have a relaxing nice before dealing with my house the next day. It definitely could have been worse. The room overall was clean and quiet. The young woman at the front desk was super sweet and friendly upon check in. I will be back to this location, at some point and I can update my review if things change. I’m hoping this is just a fluke.

Overall: A safe, clean, quiet option when looking for a place to stay in the Newport area - significantly less expensive than staying downtown, even when factoring in Uber / Lyft rides (over the 2 days/2 nights we were there, we spent about $100 between 8 rides to / from the hotel to either the beach or downtown Newport). PROS: 1. Rooms are clean and fairly spacious, hotel feels safe, free breakfast and downtown Newport is just a short ride away! A good spot for a weekend getaway to Newport. 2. Front desk staff was great, they let us check in early (even after a sold out night) and both times we asked for extra towels, they were brought up almost immediately. 3. I also appreciated how a Starbucks, Shaw’s and Walgreens are all within a 10 minute walk of the hotel (even though the walk to get there isn’t the most pedestrian friendly). 4. I didn’t have the chance to use the indoor pool, but I appreciated the option, as I don’t believe all Hampton Inn’s have pools. Recommendations for Improvement: 1. Shuttle - either making the shuttle free or at a much reduced cost. I read in reviews that the shuttle was $3 one way and was disappointed to find that the price has increased to $7 one way per person. For the average couple, let alone the average family, it’s cheaper - or at the very least the same cost (depending on the time of day) - to just Uber / Lyft downtown. 2. Not sure why the website lists an onsite restaurant? There isn’t one, other than the lobby hosting the complimentary breakfast, which is only open at breakfast. I’d recommend adjusting this on the website as it’s a bit misleading. As a Hilton credit card holder, I was hoping to use my quarterly Hilton credit for a drink and/or meal here, and was disappointed to learn this wasn’t a possibility. 3. Fix the Keycard issue - our keycards weren’t working our second night and we had to go down to fix them. Then, that following morning before checkout we had the same problem with the new key cards as well, not sure the issue there.

I booked a room here for my Brother In-law on his wedding night. Him and I arrived early to get ready for the wedding nearby. He was able to check in early and was even greeted by the GM Brad upon arrival. He is such a great guy and offered some great information about the hotel as well as the local area. He was also upgraded to a beautiful King Suite on the 2nd floor that looked out at a very beautiful church. The room was clean and spacious that screamed elegance. We bumped into Myra in the hallway and she was such a delight asking if we needed anything at all. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner and they did not disappoint! I would recommend the Eggs Benedict for breakfast and the Salmon for dinner as they were both amazing. Jairo our waiter was also so friendly and made some great suggestions! I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is going to a show at the nearby Providence Performing Arts center or that wants to just getaway to lovely Providence. This hotel is also very close to the nearby Waterfire, and art installation that the city puts on. I highly recommend this!

Thermostat on cool setting was set to 68 degrees as room was 73. Woke up at 1am and the temperature rose to 77. Turned air cooler and auto-fan kicked in blowing air in excess of 85 degrees- quickly made the temp rise. Shut off the unit. Used the guidance to text to contact staff. No response. Did not call as that would have awoken my child. Text again to get guidance on finding the ceiling fan switch... no response. Finally found a panel of switches in the bedroom obscured by an oversized lampshade. I have never seen such an arrangement. Text again at 7:30 in the morning. No response. Finally after 8 someone sent a message that they would send up engineering to look at the situation. Great thanks. How timely of you. Two days later and still no response or apology from management. For a 4-star hotel I expect anything better than what was provided.

La stanza era elegante e elegante, con una viva artistica unica, e il personale era amichevole e utile, e la posizione era perfetta per esplorare la Providenza.

Well, the biggest issue is the place is under major construction. We were not made aware of this until we arrived. We arrived in darkness at 10 pm . The entrance is poorly marked. There is no restaurant, free breakfast and had to wind around construction to get to our room. The room was very nice, clean and updated. Very quiet. We were not aware daily room cleaning is upon request only. We did appreciate the 24 hour shuttle to the airport. The staff was polite and as accommodating as possible. We were told it was going to take a year to complete renovations .

Where to start? Woman at reception was rude at check in, the a/c unit in the fitness center was broken and the room was 77°, the pool was closed, the carpet on the property is dirty, furniture in room is old, the a/c in the room was not blowing dry air so the room was humid and uncomfortable to sleep… the list goes on and on. This must not be a corporate location as it is run down and in an odd location. We are Lifetime Titanium and this stay made me so grossed out and upset that I am considering switching chains.

We used the Hyatt as our wedding/Elopement home base and everything was beautiful. The rooms and lounge are new and fresh. I enjoyed the sitting space with large windows while I drank my coffee every morning before planning chaos ensued. The staff even brought my husband and I individual sized champagne bottles and glasses while the wedding party was getting ready morning of! Especially after seeing a few of the other places that others were staying in the area I feel like we were more than fortunate to have chosen to stay with the Hyatt. Thank you to the staff!
