Nuova Zelanda: hotel con servizio colazione nella provincia di Canterbury

My friends and I had a great stay at The Bealey Quarter! The motel is situated in Christchurch City, allowing easy access to the tourist sites, whether you're travelling on foot, by car, or by public transport. There are plenty of buses and metro buses that frequently stop right near the accommodation as well! The staff were very friendly. We had a late flight (that got delayed even later) and ended up having to check in after hours. They were very accommodating with this, and similarly, when we asked for new towels, we received them immediately. Similarly, they were kind enough to allow us to put our luggage in their reception office whilst we went to collect our rental car on the day that we checked out. My only issue is that I had to contact them a few times before I received the late check-in details. The facilities were lovely. and very clean! The bathroom was private with a shower with good pressure and hot water. The bench and the toilet were a little high, which we were surprised by, but this wasn't a major issue at all! My only recommendation would be to add a ventilation fan to the bathroom, as although there is an open window above the sink, ventilation was still not ideal. The room came with a heater, a really good fan, and very comfy blankets and duvets. We were also provided with glasses and mugs, a selection of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, a hair dryer, a bin, a little cupboard, desk, chair, and even a bench where our suitcases fit really well. The view of the courtyard was beautiful despite the somewhat miserable weather, and access to the courtyard via the back door meant we could use the hammocks in the nice grassy area :) The back door was a bit tough to open, and we had to actually get the staff to show us how to use it. My only other qualm is that there is no potable water in the rooms themselves. Instead, our keycard allows us to the Lodge (I believe the hostel area), where there's a kitchen and we can fill up. Overall, we had a great experience here and I definitely recommend the Bealey Quarter to anyone coming to Christchurch. It was so affordable too :)) I didn't get many good photos but here you go!

Ero un po' deluso. Mi aspettavo che questo fosse un posto di cinque stelle, ma c'erano molte cose che non erano di sicuro cinque stelle. I vestiti erano grigi e non coprivano le persone più grandi. Uno di loro aveva rovinato tutto, non volevo nemmeno indossarlo. La porta del bagno si svegliava forte, quindi se una persona si alzò al bagno a metà della notte, svegliava l'altra persona. Erano istruzioni su come usare il bagno, ma non su come mettere il piatto. Non solo piatto in normale. Non potevamo usarlo la nostra prima notte, che era molto frustrante, perché era una delle nostre principali attrazioni. Qualcuno è venuto a guardare e ha detto che dovevi girare un'apertura sul lato della spa, come poteva sapere? La chiusura sulla porta esterna era rotta e una piccola chiusura era stata messa in posizione. Perché non riparare la chiusura principale? Usai i bagni al lato della biblioteca e quando mi lavo le mani, il tappo era tutto libero e svolto intorno. Tutte queste cose sono poche, ma dimostra che l'alloggio ha bisogno di avere le cose fissate o aggiornate. Per $300 per notte, si aspetta il meglio. La cosa peggiore era la nostra ultima mattina, abbiamo fatto colazione circa le 8:45, il ristorante si chiude alle 9:30. Erano continentali e uova e bacon scrambled. A circa le 9:00 hanno smesso di portare più pane per tosta. Non sono stati portati più croissant, uova o bacon. Ci sono stati circa 6 tavoli con gli ospiti e tutti hanno continuato a salire e a controllare, ma non hanno riempito. La gente diceva che devono aver scappato da cibo! Ma per qualche ragione il cameriere ha continuato a sollevare i cassetti all'uovo e al bacon per vedere cosa c'era, ma naturalmente non c'era niente come non l'aveva riempito e era l'unico cameriere!! Ero davvero deluso e non lo consiglierei, a meno che non ti sia offerto un buon sconto.

Spacious room and conveniently located in city centre. Friendly staff. On site parking is limited but the meter parking is free of charge from 6pm till 9am.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. It is just 8 minutes walk to the airport which makes it convenient for us to catch a morning flight. I like the common area with kitchen. It is very spacious n neat.

L'hotel è in una posizione conveniente. Il personale è professionale. Le camere sono una bella dimensione con cucina e lavatrice e asciugatrice. La palestra è OK ma fondamentale con scarsa connessione WiFi. Potrebbe avere una macchina ellittica. Vicino al giardino botanico e al parco Hagley.

Breakfast is good. Location is good. Receptionists are kind and helpful. Hotel booklet mentioned the filter water is available in the lobby area but receptionist asked us to go to restaurant area to get it. However, the restaurant staff were very rude to us and questioned us. We felt we were treated like a the thefts when we just tried to fill in the hot water in our water bottles. The hot water was only available from the coffee machine, which is very inconvenient and the restaurant staff thought we tried to steal coffees when we just tried to get the hot water. Suggest not to put the water machine in the restaurant area to avoid this problem again. Very bad experience to be treat like this.

We stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom lake view suite, it was well appointed and stylish, huge kitchen and living area and amazing views over the lake. However, for 4 adults, a single bathroom at this price point is unacceptable. Not even a powder room with a second toilet. Also, the bathroom fan and heater sounds like a jet engine in the second bedroom, which woke us up. Poor water pressure in the shower too. When we arrived both rooms were made up as single queen beds and we needed one changed to a twin. I called reception and was put on hold then hung up on after several minutes wait, two times. Then I tried calling again 5 times and the phone rang out. When I finally got through I was given attitude about the request to change one to a twin. Then we had to call again after 2 hours as nobody had been sent to split the beds. Oh also the mattress’ are firm and you can feel the springs. Not luxurious at all.

La camera è grande e spaziosa. La cucina completa privata è fornita per la cucina. L'intera stanza è ben divisa in zona di dormiente, lavastoviglie e cucina che sono tutti tempestivamente pulite. Il manager è amichevole e può parlare con voi su diversi argomenti.

We had a wonderful stay at Novotel Christchurch Airport. The location is unbeatable — literally just a short walk from the airport terminal, making it incredibly convenient, especially for travellers with young children. We stayed for one night with our toddler as we had an early morning flight the next day, and it was the perfect choice. Being able to rest properly without worrying about airport transfers made our journey so much smoother. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped for our family. Everything was clean and thoughtfully laid out, giving us a relaxing stay before our flight. The staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay. A special mention to the concierge team, who kindly gifted our toddler a cute little Kiwi bird plushie. It was such a thoughtful gesture and brought a huge smile to his face. Small touches like these really make a difference and leave a lasting impression. Overall, we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Great service, fantastic location, and family-friendly hospitality. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Christchurch.

The setting of the hotel was very nice, it felt like staying in a park. Our room with a balcony unfortunately was facing out, it got quite noisy when the construction started across the street on weekdays. The service was below the rating of the hotel as we’d expected. Children under the age of 13 were allowed to have breakfast for free, but the front desk duty manager attempted to charge our 12-year old. In the restaurant, the waitress in charge of the breakfast and lunch time service had her thumb reached inside the drink and cleaned the glass with a used tablecloth, when I approached the bar and pointed out quietly, I was told to stand there to watch her make another one to make sure the drink was clean.
