SSamThe staff were friendly and the actual hotel was quite elegant. The grounds were amazing, and there were plenty of lovely places for photos with colourful flowers. We ate dinner in the hotel and the presentation of the food and the quality was excellent. The steak was cooked to perfection. The mushroom risotto wasn't quite as good as it had some crunchy bits of rice in it. It needed about 10 minutes longer on a slow heat, and then it would have been perfect; as it wasn't that hot either.
This hotel boasts that it has a spa, swimming pool, and lots of different spa room experiences. Normally, when you use the leisure facilities connected to the hotel that you're staying in, they provide towels free of charge.
Not this one. We walked over with our swimwear and room key card to be told that towels were £1 each. We explained that we didn't bring a wallet, money, or a phone to pay with. We asked if they could charge it to our room. They couldn't!! They said that you can use the one in your hotel room or walk back to the hotel reception and they'd give us them. Not helpful at all.
Then, we went in to find the two foot spa's didn't work, and when I said it to the leisure centre manager, his reply was ' I know as I reported them last week'. But not a sign on them to say that they weren't working!
Overall, the hotel needed a bit of a spruce up; but they made up for it with friendly staff.
We paid to play a 9 hole game of golf and the staff in the golf shop was amazing.

UUtente ospiteAll the staff were friendly efficient and very helpful. The room was very clean spacious and beautifully decorated in keeping with the age of building yet and uncluttered contemporary feel. Room temperature was controllable and the provisions, TV etc. of excellent quality. Next time we would look to have dinner there as the breakfast restaurant was of the same excellent standard with everything beautifully cooked fresh, hot and well presented. We were able to park and this plus the location in Stamford made the stay very relaxing and enjoyable. A big thank you to Toni on reception who was very helpful and friendly.

Il pranzo era molto buono, 2 main per 15 sterline e grandi porzioni!
L'acqua da bagno è calda, ma la pressione idrica è debole (forse è uno stile ”salva acqua”?)
I pasti caldi del buffet di colazione erano grandi, es. i funghi erano molto grandi, con filtro di riempimento gratuito caffè e tè.Sarebbe bello se ci fosse yogurt e più varietà di pane.
Solo 5 minuti di auto per il centro / stazione ferroviaria.

UUtente ospiteE'un hotel fantastico e un manager benvenuto. Sono davvero grato per lui perché ero molto in ritardo e non ho trovato un taxi. Ho avuto un'intervista al lavoro la mattina e ho fatto suo figlio prendere me in macchina. Lo apprezzo davvero.

SSarah LouiseThe Wishing Well Inn is the definition of “no thrills”. It’s easy to find and the location is good for the area but it’s definitely not a place I’d stay for a long time. The staff are fairly friendly and service is quick. Il colazione è solo un cesto di bar e un porridge pronto, il doccia è un reliquio di un'altra età, difficile da usare e sempre troppo caldo o troppo freddo. Bella lettiera e cuscini e un buon giardino pub ma non consigliere per più di un fermo durante il soggiorno.

The gentleman in the evening shift who looked after me was very wonderful. My hotel room was just perfect. Very comfortable mattress. Very cozy. The view of the Lincoln Cathedral was fantastic. The bar staff were very friendly. All the staff members were very professional and polite. The breakfast staff looked after me very well.
There was an intermittent problem with the shower controls that I forgot to mention at the hotel.

UUtente ospiteThe lady who owned the hotel made us uncomfortable by insisting on coming into the room with us upon arrival even after I said it’s not my first stay, and when it came to check out knocked on the door 45 mins before checkout to remind us what time checkout was and making sure we were checking out then. Really confusing service and felt like we weren’t being treated fairly; as it wasn’t like that last time I stayed and i don’t think I’ll come back, cheaper rooms with far less hassle are available.
