Undiscovered gem of a hotel near San Pedro. Pros: We were looking for a place on the lower end of the price spectrum that was a one night romantic getaway for two, that I could also use my free trip coins at toward the cost of the room. Preferably including breakfast and a swimming pool with jacuzzi 😉 Not much to ask! We booked one of the cheaper rooms on the ground floor. Before check in we took an Uber to San Pedro mall to do some essential shopping and see a movie. Then we checked in and I relaxed in the jacuzzi under the San José night sky while my husband enjoyed a full workout in the gym/weights room. TV with cable was great for my husband who enjoyed the football while I enjoyed the hot shower and relaxed in the bed afterwards. We had an amazingly comfortable sleep and a delicious breakfast in the morning of gallo pinto, fresh tropical fruits, freshly squeezed watermelon juice and hot coffee. A generous check out time of 12pm meant we had more than enough time to get our things together and leave when it suited. Cons: Not many cons at this price point and value. The guy at the desk was a bit weird when we asked him for a second glass for water as there was only one in the room but not a big deal. We also had to ask him for the TV remote. The towels were a bit small like a mini dress on me after my shower. But good quality (with a third extra towel for the jacuzzi) and high quality bed linen. It also is in a slightly rough looking neighborhood but this is not a problem if you travel to and from the hotel by Uber or use a hire car (which you can park privately inside the property). Overall impression: The other photos on trip.com and similar booking sites do not do this hotel justice - it looks far better in person. It has real character since it is a restored historic hotel from an era bygone, but that is why everything is such high quality from the bed linen to the floor tiles. Everything is also in good shape and freshly painted. There a little hidden nooks around the hotel that make it very charming. The breakfast area is lovely and the jacuzzi, pool and water slide were a real highlight. We WILL be back.

The city view was the best part, we got picked up from the hotel for a day tour. Tour guide said we’re in the new buildings area but it’s still unsafe at night so don’t go walking around, but the hotel itself was five to ten minutes from everything else, in the day we did walk around and felt safe, the park is right next to it which was nice to see and of course the stadium, cleanliness and guest services were great accommodating, we had our anniversary dinner at their restaurant and it had great views but service was slow and food was only okay, could’ve/should’ve eaten somewhere else, the best part was the pool on the highest floor, the top four floors were apartments, but the pool is on the highest of their floor, the jacuzzi wasn’t warmed and they warmed us that it wasn’t, but the pool itself was nice to swim in, stayed there for a little over an hour before going to dinner, would definitely go book again

Buona per camminare verso ristoranti o negozi nella città, o per unire uno dei diversi viaggi visivi che possono essere facilmente organizzati dall'hotel. Le camere sono belle, anche se il decoro è un po 'dato, e le aree comuni sono anche ben progettate per soggiornare mentre leggere un libro o conoscere i vostri compagni di viaggio che soggiornano sullo stesso piano. Il buffet è stato piuttosto comune per un hotel che offre colazione in Costa Rica, ma buono, e la zona si raddoppia anche come un bar alla notte.Altre strutture includono un palestra con peso libero e un paio di macchine, insieme a due saune, uno asciutto e uno vapore.

I had a 5 star experience here for 8 nights and enjoyed a beautiful room overlooking the golf course and mountains. The room service was exceptional particularly the quesadilla and the pasta dishes. The pools were sensational and even tho it was packed there was plenty of room for everyone. The spa was well worth it (ask for Laura) she is the best! I had great housekeeping from Maria on the fifth floor and my favorite bellman was a gentleman named Carlos. Everyone was very friendly and when there were any issues at checkout or checkin they were resolved quickly by the excellent customer support team of Caleb, Jackeline & Gianina all of whom provided impeccable service.

It is a truly special place. But it is not a 5 star as claimed, its just a 4 star and just for minor things that cheapen the experience. One thing that irked me is that they have a coffee machine in the room but one has to go downstairs and buy pods for $1.50 each. This is cheap, small TV, channel guide is not accurate or changed. Having a price list for said breakfast items as simple as oatmeal is also ludicrous and takes away from what should be exceptional for 5 stars the ambiance is wonderful as you feel as if you are staying in an art museum. Will stay again but do not expect a 5 star hotel. exceptional for

L'hotel resort ha uno splendido scenario naturale e un'area colazione all'aperto. Ho incontrato anche il signor Squirrel, che non ha paura delle persone. Tuttavia, la colazione è davvero nella media, principalmente per la fasciatura della pancia. L'intero hotel ha una grande area piastrellata e non è facile trovare una stanza dopo aver girato. La piazza mini è fantastica!Il panorama nel cortile è buono, la ventilazione è buona e molto comoda.È possibile acquistare piatti e panini in un supermercato di 30 secondi a piedi con un alto livello, sicuro e tranquillo, in generale è il migliore.Pulizia e pulizia pulita. Siamo profondamente dispiaciuti per le disturbi di soggiorno e di partenza, ma la risposta del cazzo è davvero utile.Voglio usarla di nuovo.
