Ho prenotato questo hotel perché diceva che ci sono parcheggi. Quando sono arrivato al check-in, il personale ha detto solo che non erano disponibili e mi ha indirizzato al parcheggio vicino dove devo pagare una tariffa.
Il personale che si trova al banco del check-in non è stato molto gentile, a differenza del personale che si trova all'ingresso della colazione e di fronte all'area dell'ascensore, è stato molto gentile e disponibile.
La camera era pulita e avevamo la vista da cui possiamo vedere la stazione ferroviaria principale.

Inizialmente avevamo prenotato la camera senza finestre. Tuttavia, non è stato di nostro gradimento, quindi abbiamo deciso di passare a un'altra stanza.

Palmer Hotel is near Taichung Station. Very accessible. Buffet breakfast was included. Clean and cozy place to stay. Complete amenities and friendly staff. Near Miyahara. We will definitely stay here again if ever we visit Taichung again. Great Deals if you book on Trip.Com.

When we checked in which was rather late ,was smooth but there is only one elevator and you have to wait for quite sometime. The room is spacious, there were shampoo and body wash but no tooth brush. Breakfast provided was quite good, although not those elaborate type. And they do changed some of the dishes for the 4nights I stayed. Gym was small, there is a laundry at B1 for only 20twn, dryer 20twn. They do provide some biscuits too at the lobby with drinks。

Il posto è davvero carino e il mio soggiorno è stato davvero piacevole. La camera è davvero grande e pulita! C'erano dei lavori in corso quando sono stato lì, però... quindi il piano in cui ho soggiornato mi è sembrato un po' trascurato. Ma nel complesso, il soggiorno è stato comunque buono e l'ambiente è comunque molto carino.

Un buon albergo un po datato ma nell’insieme funziona. Posizionato a pochi minuti a piedi da Ximending, ricca colazione al 12 piano con vista sulla città e il fiume Danshui.se dovessi ritornare a Taipei ci ritornerei.

Ho trovato un gioiello! Questo hotel è comodissimo dalla stazione MRT ed è un posto strategico dove soggiornare se si vuole prendere il treno locale per raggiungere altre zone di Taipei per una breve gita di un giorno, come Hualien, Taizhong ecc. L'hotel è anche molto grande e nuovo e il check-in è stato molto semplice! Ci tornerò sicuramente se andrò a Taipei! La camera è spaziosa anche per due bagagli grandi.

Il panorama è fantastico, la cucina pubblica è anche molto pratico ～ molti tipi di tavoli sono molto belli, super adatto per il vostro cibo semplice.Anche un apritore di buste di legno morbido.La zona pubblica del primo piano ha una scatola di medicina d'emergenza con la musica curata. Inoltre, oltre al suono di Marshall e al ventilatore di Dyson, è stato preparato con attenzione il viso, il bagno igienico, la copertura e l'ingrediente nella stanza. Il bagno fornito è anche Twinings ✨, che sarà inviato alla stanza, e il grande colazione cinese (ci sentiamo tutti meglio). Il piccolo consiglio è che si può lubrificare un altro latte, ma l'esperienza complessiva è molto buona!

Nice bed (two beds pushed into a mega bed) although pillows are flat. Room is spacious with a huge shower and bidet. Was a nice stay. Clean too.enjoyable stay.
But it is located in a quiet area and slightly far away from attractions... Service is ok.

L'hotel è molto vicino al mercato notturno ed è raggiungibile a piedi. Il servizio clienti al cancello è molto gentile e spesso aiuta con il parcheggio e risponde alle domande. L'hotel dispone di numerose attività e strutture per genitori e figli. Sebbene siano un po' vecchie, sono molto ricche e amichevoli con i bambini. La spiaggia di Xiaowan può essere raggiunta a piedi da un percorso sotterraneo dell'hotel. Sono disponibili giocattoli per scavare la sabbia, ombrelloni e teli da mare che possono essere noleggiati gratuitamente, il che è molto comodo e confortevole.

UUtente ospite1. Misleading Entrance Signage
Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable.
2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance
When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside?
3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior
After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues.
As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight.
We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of:
- Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance
- Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival
- Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior
We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future.

I had a great stay at Hotel PaPa Whale! The hotel's style is really unique and quirky, which makes it stand out from your typical business hotels. The location is absolutely fantastic. It’s just a short 7-minute walk to Ximen Station, making it super convenient to get around the city, and being right on the edge of Ximending means you're in the middle of all the action, shopping, and nightlife.
Location: You really can't beat it for exploring Taipei. The Ximending pedestrian area is literally a few minutes' walk away, so you're surrounded by endless food options. Whether you're looking for a late-night snack, trendy cafes, or authentic ********* street food, you'll find it all right on your doorstep. The proximity to the MRT station is a huge plus for day trips too.
Room & Atmosphere: The room was a decent size, especially for Taipei, and we had plenty of space for our luggage. The vibe is modern and playful. The most... memorable feature was definitely the large mirror on the ceiling above the bed. It certainly adds a fun, slightly ”kinky” twist to the room's atmosphere! It’s a bold design choice that fits the hotel's overall playful and unconventional personality.
Bathroom: One of the highlights was the bathroom. It was impressively large, very clean, and well-appointed, with good water pressure in the shower. It felt more like a boutique hotel bathroom than a standard city hotel one.
Overall: Hotel PaPa Whale is a solid 4-star experience. It combines a prime location, a clean and comfortable room with a fun twist, and a great bathroom. If you're looking for a memorable stay right in the heart of Taipei's most vibrant district, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for couples or anyone looking for something a little different.

DDKongAmore l'acqua calda di primavera nella stanza. Bagno molto spazioso, con doccia separata. Vieni a visitare di nuovo se ho la possibilità. Il pranzo all'hotel è medio, può essere meglio. YYH_AllenI did not expect this accommodation to be a motel based on its Chinese name, so it was a bit of a surprise when I checked in.
The location is very convenient, which is a big plus. However, the overall environment had a slight smell of cigarette smoke. The room itself was spacious, but for guests arriving on foot, the access route is not very intuitive—you need to go down to the basement first and then enter through the parking garage, which makes the circulation feel somewhat inconvenient.

CClymene LimThoroughly enjoyed my stay at Sun Palm B&B. Have written this review in English, but we communicated with them in Chinese. We stayed at this B&B during the tourism off-peak season (March).
Service - Amazing. They were very responsive on Line, and quick to reply. They were also helpful with our requests/questions (e.g. fetching service to and fro airport, car rental service, traffic road conditions in Penghu) and were polite. They also gave some advice on what can or cannot be done (e.g. we wanted to cycle around Penghu, but they advised us saying Penghu was too big to travel on a bicycle). The driver was always punctual when picking us up, and when sending us to the airport. In fact, he was already there, with the car ready, minutes before we were supposed to leave for the airport - we didn't even need to remind them. The lady boss was very friendly - when we first arrived, she asked if we were new to Penghu (it was our first time), and she introduced where to explore in Penghu, and what to eat. She also told us that if we wanted to do water activities, we can approach them, and they can make a check with the centres to see if they are open since it was off-peak season for tourist activities. We also had some extra request regarding the check out timing, and she helped us with it too. Before we arrived, they also tested the car we wanted to rent, and upon finding out that it wasn't working as well, they provided us with another car instead - this is certainly good service. They also cleaned up the room upon request, and re-stocked the fridge with drinks.
Food - The breakfast was amazing and fresh (see photos). On the first day we had bread + doughstick + egg with spring onion all in one package. It was delicious. On the second day, we had vermicelli and seafood (e.g. squid, prawns). The seafood was really fresh, and the broth was simple and tasty. Each dish was accompanied by fresh fruits / pastry + drink, which was refreshing.
Room - We got the Starry Honeymoon Room. It was very spacious, the room was clean, the amenities were in good condition, and the overall design was aesthetically pleasing. The heart pillow on the bed was a cute addition, and the round bed was big enough for 2 of us. Above the bed there was a window covered with a retractable screen - you can actually look into the sky while lying on the bed, really interesting.
Location - While this B&B is further away from the main city, we didn't feel that affected as they provided airport transfer services. Also, we felt that it being away from the hustle and bustle from the city was actually advantageous, as the B&B's location had a more relaxed, quiet, holiday vibes, which was what we were looking for. There is a 7-11 around 10 minutes from the B&B, so if you need food etc in the middle of the night, you can get it from there. We rented a car, so travelling to other areas wasn't much of an issue.
Overall, I will recommend this B&B to anyone looking to tour Penghu! Am glad to have chosen this B&B for our first ever trip to Penghu :)

JJayjeejayThe hotel is very professional, nice and clean. The staff is all attentive. The location is just a couple minutes from metro and 5 mins from hip area, Zhongshan, and in walkable distance from the famous night market. Will definitely be back when going to Taipei again.
