Penang, Malesia: hotel sul mare

I just stayed for one night. Which was enough for me. Be aware this is not part of the official Rainbow Resort Hotel. Upon seeing my confirmation, the receptionist told me my room was an Airbnb. The building is a hotel as well private rooms that are rented out. The room itself was very spacious, 70 sqm with one bedroom and a living space. It had obviously been repainted recently (it smelt a fresh paint) so the walls were clean. Air conditioning and basic amenities were provided. The building itself, has seen a lot of wear and tear. If you’re on a budget and want a spacious room it will meet your needs. For the price I think it’s quite reasonable if you’re there for a short stay. The hotel is next to a beach, and a swimming pool downstairs. There a few restaurants across the road.

Ottimo ubicazione, grandi viste marine con accesso alla spiaggia. Benvenuto personale sempre disponibile per aiutare. Condizionato al mercato alimentare Viva e un negozio di comodità situato sul piano terra. La vista della piscina è magnifica e ben mantenuta ”l'acqua è un po' fredda, come è principalmente ombreggiata”. Acqua filtrata nella vostra stanza e camere molto grandi confortevoli. Fate una scelta eccellente.

siamo stati per 2 notti... questa è la mia seconda volta in questo hotel... la posizione è tra Feringgi e il centro... l'unico aspetto negativo è che la colazione non è buona come la ricordavo... potrebbero fare di meglio ma nel complesso il soggiorno è confortevole

Ho prenotato un soggiorno di 3 notti, il check-in è stato piacevole e tempestivo. Una volta raggiunta la stanza, il water era intasato, il vetro del bagno era ammuffito. Il resto della stanza era ok ma c'era un odore di odore proveniente dalla moquette. La TV era come un modello obsoleto e la ricezione era orribile e poco chiara, cosa che non otteniamo al giorno d'oggi se non negli anni '80 o '90. La colazione era davvero semplice, dovresti saltarla e non sembra quella di un hotel. Ho fatto il check-out anticipato di un giorno e ho prenotato un altro hotel perché non mi sento bene.

We were looking for a hotel near Escape Theme Park, and this hotel was recommended on Trip.com when I searched for a room with a bathtub. The price was reasonable and the location is very convenient, only about 10 minutes away from Escape Theme Park. When we checked in, we were impressed by the beautiful view and the comfortable room. The breakfast was excellent with good variety, and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and we would definitely stay here again. Hope to visit again in the future!

Great hospitality and service throughout my stay in Penang Amari Spice Hotel. Upon arrival, the reception team kindly upgraded me to a Premier King room without any request, which was a wonderful surprise. The room was spacious, clean, well-maintained, and had a pleasant scent—everything was excellent. I would like to express my utmost appreciation to the midnight team on 21/03/2026. During our stay, my friend suddenly fell seriously ill during midnight . We attempted to call emergency services (999), but unfortunately were unable to get through to the nearby general hospital immediately. The situation was critical, and waiting another 10–20 minutes could have put my friend’s life at risk. Thankfully, the Penang Amari hotel team acted swiftly and professionally. They followed up with us, and the female manager along with the guy management team arrived promptly to assess the situation. They provided immediate support and helped arrange transportation to the nearest hospital, ensuring we arrived within 10 minutes. Thanks to their quick response and care, my friend’s life was saved. And even after check out they still texting us to concern on the guest safety. We are deeply grateful for their kindness, efficiency, and dedication during such a critical moment. I had a wonderful stay at Hompton by the Beach Penang. The hotel’s location in Tanjung Bungah is fantastic, offering beautiful sea views and a peaceful atmosphere while still being a short drive from George Town. It’s also very convenient as the Vivo Food Court is within walking distance, making it easy to enjoy local food for dinner The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with large windows facing the ocean. Waking up to the sea view was definitely one of the highlights of the stay. The facilities were also excellent — the infinity pool overlooking the beach was relaxing. The staff were friendly, polite, and always ready to help, making the overall experience even more pleasant. Breakfast had a good variety of local and international options, and the food was fresh and delicious. Overall, Hompton by the Beach Penang is a great choice for a relaxing beachside stay. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Penang and would happily stay here again.

Bella, pulita e confortevole piccola hotel. Macchina d'acqua dove si può riempire la propria bottiglia. Piscina era molto bello per nuotare, ma non c'era spazio per il sole intorno. Il personale era amichevole e utile. Il check-in è teorico utile, ma perché si deve pagare il deposito in contanti, il check-in e -out non apporterà alcun valore aggiunto. WiFi e condizioni d'aria funzionano molto bene!

Room is clean, spacious, comfy. Location is not walking distance to Batu Ferringhi beach and night market, but a free shuttle is provided on Fri-Sun once per day, or can take a bus. Buffet breakfast has lots of varieties with good quality food. The dining hall is large and spacious as well. It is worth it.

L'atmosfera e l'arredamento della villa sono piuttosto gradevoli, con frigorifero e microonde. La spiaggia è a 10 minuti a piedi, ma l'insonorizzazione è scarsa. Non ho dormito bene dopo due giorni. Abbiamo alloggiato nella camera da letto principale al secondo piano, dotata di bagno. Il primo giorno c'era musica fuori dalle altre stanze, e il secondo giorno i bambini giocavano e facevano rumore. Sembrava che la porta non si potesse chiudere a chiave, e non ero sicuro che lo fosse, dato che si poteva aprire direttamente dall'interno.
