Penang, Malaysia: hotel vicino alla spiaggia

My overall stay at the hotel was truly wonderful! From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, the hospitality extended to me was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure I felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout my trip. One of the biggest highlights is the strategic location, perfectly situated with easy access to key attractions, and restaurants, making it incredibly convenient for both leisure and business travelers. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, providing a peaceful retreat after a long day of exploring. I especially appreciated the classic charm of the hotel, which added a touch of timeless elegance to the entire experience. Whether you’re visiting for work or holiday, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, great location, and overall value. I will definitely be back!

The hotel was good and overall service is satisfactory. I want to highlight two remarkable individuals with great personalities - Felicia(check in/out counter) and Julita(dining) Felicia - smartly eloquent with pleasant intonation, smooth situation handling. Julita - friendly, warm and honest hospitality. Made me and my mom felt truly welcomed. While the rest of the staffs were also good, i think these two could be a factor for any customers to return and book the hotel again in future. I personally would like to go again for them. Kudos for such amazing persona.

The DoubleTree Resort is an excellent choice for a family-focused getaway with great amenities and service. However, if you're looking for a location with immediate access to George Town's city life and street food, its slightly secluded location may be a drawback.

L'ambiente dell'hotel è ottimo, anche la colazione è molto ricca, il mare è proprio fuori dall'hotel, bellissimo, abbiamo trascorso due giorni meravigliosi qui. Vale la pena sottolineare che la nostra camera è al secondo piano, molto vicina all'albero, e ci sono molti 🐒 che vengono a trovarci la mattina, sono molto carini!

The hotel is located at the beach front and near to the main road. It is accessible to town and Gurney. There is a food court in a walking distance which you can find all the local dishes there, such as satay, peanut pancakes, bak kut teh, prawn noodles, curry noodles, Indian Apom balik etc. The hotel room is spacious and neat . It provides organic herbal body wash, hair shampoo,hair conditioner and hand liquids . The gym has nice see view. There is a beach pub where you have drink there. The swimming pool is kids friendly and there is a kids club where they can play at there. This hotel suits young kids and teens . We will come back again for the sixth time.

Soggiorno incantevole ma da migliorare ❤️❤️❤️. Gli articoli da toeletta non hanno un rasoio, una sorpresa, il giorno del check-in non è stato preparato alcun gel doccia, bisogna chiamare la reception per riempirlo, niente bevande omaggio nel frigo (omaggio come ha detto la reception), bisogna dire al personale di mettere le bevande, la stanza in cui ho soggiornato potrebbe avere problemi di perdite, il water ha sempre avuto acqua sul pavimento, bisogna chiamare il servizio di couverture ogni volta dopo la doccia. Ho letto nella recensione di qualcuno che avevano i sali da bagno ma io non ne ho ricevuti, e li ho anche richiesti 3 volte, hanno promesso di metterli ma niente fino al giorno del check-out. Il cibo era buono, il personale era gentile, forse è solo il momento di punta per il loro hotel, comprensibile.

L'hotel è un po' vecchio, ma quando sono entrato all'hotel, la vecchia sala di moda mi ha fatto iniziare a scrivere la mia condizione. La camera è eccellente! Piscina privata, sauna privata, grande lavanderia con bagno separato e zona bagno. Per la camera da letto c'è un fan appoggiato, il che significa che ho scelto di smettere di fare il con e di godere di flussi naturali! L'hotel è a soli 15 minuti dall'aeroporto, una svolta raccomandata prima di lasciare Penang.

My last stay at Ascott Gurney Penang was in Oct 2024. I travelled with a girlfriend and it was my first time staying. The experience was fantastic (the room view, the service provided, the cleanliness of the room, the pool and gym facilities etc) thus, this time I brought back my family and my in-laws to stay again (3 rooms). Was slightly disappointed this time. 1. The rooms assigned this time were not great, all low floors and the views were restricted (my last stay the room view was superb!) 2. There were lots of birds in the swimming pool area and I think the hotel should do something about it. There were droppings on the floor around the pool and after swimming for a short while, I felt uncomfortable as I could see something floating in the pool as well so I left…. 3. On the 2nd day morning, servicing staff promptly made up my room but not on the 3nd day morning. I was out between 10am to 1pm and was surprised to see that the room was not cleaned. I had to personally go down to the front desk to make the request to clean up… But overall, the service was still good, staff were courteous and helpful in general. I recommended Ascott Gurney to my husband this time, but he was quite disappointed with Ascott Gurney Penang, especially with reasons listed above and still prefer The George Penang where we stayed in end 2023 instead.

Abbiamo avuto un soggiorno notturno con 3 camere, tra cui colazione. Check-in è liscio e la receptionist è amichevole con sorriso. I bambini avevano goduto della piscina. Ci sono solo pochi passi da andare alla spiaggia. È stato aperto di nuovo caffè e ristorante. La colazione ha varie opzioni, ma è necessario fare la colazione se si va al picco dopo le 9:00. Sì, la colazione è la parte più insopportabile. Non ho mai incontrato una tale esperienza prima che tu dovessi fare una colazione e dividere la tavola per avere un colazione che spreca l'umore. Non sono sicuro se sono biasi, ma il trattamento sembra un po' diverso rispetto al bianco. Tuttavia, il cibo è il salvataggio e nasi lemak è la firma che devi provare. Pulizia è un grande problema che deve essere migliorato. La posizione non è molto strategica se si desidera esplorare Georgetown e trovare cibo locale bello. In generale, è una buona scelta per noi per questo soggiorno.

This hotel is located at the end of Batu Ferringhi Beach. Initially, I hesitated to book because of reviews saying rooms old and not clean. But I had no regret of my two night stay. The room I stayed was clean, spacious, bright and aircon very strong. The beach is just a short walk from the hotel, very near. Overall, I really enjoyed, love it, will definitely be back.
