Puglia, Italia: hotel sul mare

Unfortunately this was a stay of two halves, and I wish I'd heeded other people's low reviews about the host's attitude before booking. The place itself was lovely. A cute, clean little room that seemed authentic and had some nice finishing touches. The area around was beautiful and it's a great location. I was excited to see the room description, stating a spa, billiards room and other amenities that would account for the higher cost of this place. I saw the warning that the booking was non-refundable but took a punt.... I was wrong for doing this. Soon after booking, I received the first of many messages stating the jacuzzi in the photo was an extra 209 euros, which was apparently written in very small print, the large fridge in the photos was just for show and alongside this were given a set of house rules including not being allowed to eat in the room! I didn't like the attitude from the messages and I tried to cancel, over 2 weeks before our stay, but was refused. Cut to the day of stay I was sent another set of rules, this time warning us that if we change the temperature of the air conditioner or any other settings then ”the consequences will be on us”, it also told us to re-read the rules carefully and reminded us we couldn't eat or drink in the room. Self-check in was simple, although on the website it states there's a front desk and luggage storage on site... There isn't. It was 39 degrees outside and 27 inside. I messaged saying that in the heat setting, 24 degrees, was too warm and asked if we could lower the temperature, she refused, I asked for a fan, she pretty much accused me of lying, saying it WASN'T too warm, and after a long and draining conversation she ”allowed” us to change it to 18 degrees. After this, I tried to be civil and she responded with some suggestions of places to eat and visit. We ”respected the people who work for you” as she demanded in the messages. The apartment was equipped with basics but for the price, would have expected extras like small toiletries or glasses for water. It all went well until the last day on check out, I suggested some things to make the stay better such as a friendlier manner, trash cans in the room and more toiletries, as this was quite an expensive stay. I suggested she revisit the description of the hotel and that she didn't send ”the rules.” She didn't like this. In all honesty, the woman, I believe, is a narcissist, and can't take responsibility for her mistakes. She wouldn't accept there were areas for improvement and when it came to asking for help that linked to her apartment, she took it as a criticism on her part and went on the attack. She sent a final message which was copied from one previously sent, so this suggests she's had similar issues before. I had to block her because she wouldn't stop messaging me! I have all the messages saved and complained to trip.com who have been extremely helpful. If you want to stay in a nice place, this is lovely, but there are similar ones out there with nicer hosts. Don't give this rude lady business. I never did get to play a game of billiards.

ottimo hotel sotto ogni punto di vista, a voler essere puntigliosi il parcheggio e' a pagamento all'interno della struttura, tutti i servizi sono abbastanza vicini. L'ombrellone e' in dotazione ma non e' garantita la presenza quindi bisogna prenotarlo ad un costo aggiuntivo.

Do not stay at this dangerous hotel. Our first room was old , smelly, and awful with a broken fridge, a kettle that could not be plugged in and peeling paint. The second room has 3 different paint colours exposed fires and a bathroom that floods every time the shower is used. There are holes in the ceilings, no staff apart from 1 young girl at reception. Rooms have the cheapest, most basic facilities. The toiletries are what you would expect in a 2 star hotel. No nescafe machine if you want sn expresso you must pay €3.50. The hotel is run down and clearly management care only for money. Private guest information is stored in a public cupboard. Maintenance is ignored, and breakfast is basic. The breskfadt consists mainly of prepared sweet pastry and cakes. A small glass of tetra pack orange juice us €5 If you wish to iron, you need to either iron on the bed or the floor.. The hotel does not have a bar that operates. There are no umbrellas or comforts of a 4-star hotel. Service is zero. The hotel only offers breakfast. No lunch, dinner, or room service. But the most alarming concern is the hotels noncompliance with fire safety. If there was a fire at this hotel, guests would simply lose their lives. On both the 2nd and 3rd fll Oor parts of the ceilings have collapsed. The police gave arrested the hotel due to serious concerns for staff and guests.

La posizione dell'hotel è eccellente, molto vicino alla spiaggia e a pochi passi dal centro città, il che ha reso l'esplorazione della zona facile e piacevole. C'è anche una buona disponibilità di parcheggio, il che è molto comodo. Tuttavia, non ho avuto una buona esperienza durante la notte. Il rilevatore di fumo era posizionato direttamente sopra il letto, con una luce LED verde che lampeggiava ogni pochi secondi. Questo ha reso estremamente difficile riposare. Per riuscire a dormire, ho dovuto spostare il materasso fuori dalla camera da letto e posizionarlo nel corridoio vicino al bagno per allontanarmi dalla luce, il che chiaramente non è accettabile in un ambiente alberghiero. Questo è un aspetto che dovrebbe essere riconsiderato, sia modificando il posizionamento sia riducendo l'impatto della luce. Nel complesso, sebbene la posizione sia un punto di forza, questo problema ha influito significativamente sul mio soggiorno.

La ricezione era un po' sorganizzata, aspettavamo più di 1 ora (check-in alle 17:00, chiamavamo in anticipo circa 4.15 pm se possibile per check-in più presto, nessun problema, ma non aspettando più di 1 ora perché avevano pulito la stanza). Aveva questo servizio di chiamata una volta pronto, per noi non avevano nemmeno i documenti pronti (necessitavano di cercare, così perdi tempo), il wifi non era stabile nella stanza (mancanza di copertura adeguata per la nostra parte della zona del resort), la colazione non era male, ma mi sembra che nel 1998 si sia fermato quando si tratta di scelte alimentari: la stanza era pulita, ma il bagno poteva essere ristrutturato un po’, non c’era un minibar e c’era una sigaretta rimasta nel vetro candele sul balcone, il parcheggio era buono, la posizione era buona.

In one room from air condition running water down, we i told it in recipient she told me all i can do is to clean, In second room there were no air so we ask to move to another room ( in that room was pregnant women), they asked us to wait for day after, and they changed, but by the end they asked for change 20 euro And in the third room we noticed that the close room can look inside the bath room . We complained about it and they said the they are not the bosses . I refused to pay until the boss will came but he ignored us. I want my money back

Sì, un'accentuazione della nostra famiglia Puglia di 2 settimane (di 4) viaggio. Mi dispiace che ci siamo rimasti lì solo per 2 notti - potevamo essere stati più lunghi, quindi dopo 11 giorni di viaggio in strada potevamo solo restare lì e raffreddare. Il nostro hotel ha avuto tutti i pasti eccellenti (sia sul lato della piscina che sul bar). Il colazione (buffet+a la carte) era bella con una vasta gamma di scelte. Ci siamo anche vicini a Go-Karting, che è stata un'altra splendida esperienza per i nostri figli. L'hotel era semplicemente bellissimo ed elegante. Il suo club privato di spiaggia era anche un enorme bonus!!!

Personale professionale e cordiale in particolare la governante Anna, posizione ottima ,vicino sia al centro storico che al mare. Colazione abbondante, cena ottima. Camera spaziosa e pulita, curata nei dettagli, bagno con finestra. Assolutamente consigliato

Un soggiorno molto confortevole al BellaVista. È all'altezza del suo nome con una vista superba sul mare da entrambi i lati dalla camera, che era molto spaziosa! La colazione era una continentale molto semplice con opzioni limitate. Situato a 200 metri dalla zona della città vecchia con la spiaggia della Purità. Un sacco di ristoranti nei dintorni rendono la posizione perfetta per qualche giorno di relax. Non ho controllato la spa sul tetto. Le foto sono del castello che si trova proprio di fronte all'hotel e alla spiaggia nelle vicinanze.

L'Hotel Montecallini è stata una sorpresa fantastica, ci piaceva. Non potevamo chiedere di più: personale amichevole, spaziosa e pulita, più di generoso colazione e delizioso cibo al ristorante. Potresti avere bisogno di un'auto, ma a breve distanza (max 10-15 min) avrai alcuni negozi, ristoranti, spiagge e Leuca. Ci piaceva passare la giornata sulla spiaggia e avere un po'di spratto dalla piscina, la sera circondata dal giardino botanico.
