I stayed at this onsen hostel and had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent—very convenient for exploring the area. The staff spoke English, which made communication smooth, and the place had a nice mix of Japanese and Western atmosphere. Everything was clean and comfortable. That said, I was hoping for a more traditional, authentic onsen experience. Still, it’s a great option for travelers looking for comfort and accessibility.

Il personale qui era sorprendente. Il servizio era eccezionale e la sanità era anche molto buona. Non solo questo, ma il cibo non era solo buono, ma offre anche una sorprendente esperienza nelle profondità della cucina giapponese. Raccomanderò a chiunque venga qui se cerca una rapida e facile notte di riposo vicino al trasporto.

Book a night to experience Kusatsu onsen. The onsen resort are 10min away from the main attraction but we come to know there is shuttle service provided, but since we drive hence did not utilised the service. Onsen facilities are old but maintained well. Our buffet dinner is a WOW! The unlimited drinks, sake and beer are a big highlight with variety of Japanese food selection. 3 private onsen available for use with 2 big public onsen available in house. Breakfast are good too with the overall prices.

We stayed here for 2 comfortable nights. Their staffs service are awesome, friendly and helpful. Especially Ms Yumiko service is always smiling, approachable, helpful and kind, who served us 2 nights for our meals with compassion. Room was comfortable with delicious authentic Japanese meals send our room. Onsen hot bath was clean with nice mountain view. Highly recommended to stay in this Onsen Inn. Very quiet, peaceful and calm place to rest 👍🏻

酒店位置甚佳，離開湯畑只是5分鐘路程，離開草津車站同樣是5至6分鐘車程，兼程有酒店可安排往返車站。 設施方面，因酒店已有若干歷史，顯得有點舊，但整體感覺仍可以。而房間乾淨企理，溫泉有兩個浴池及戶外溫泉，十分之舒服。員工方面，十分之有禮及專業，服務態度佳。 晚餐是和式料理，豐富而美味。而早餐是自助形式，同樣美味。

Wonderful room, service, and overall experience. The room was equipped with a gas heater that quickly warmed the room up despite the January cold. There were also cups, a tea pot, satchels of green tea, and an electric kettle to prepare tea in the room. The onsen bath was very hot and wonderful and the futon and pillows were comfortable. 5/5 experience!

The owners were very genuine and kind. Although they could not speak English, they really made sure we had everything we needed. Very traditional Japanese ryokan experience. The place is a little old but super clean and cute. Beautiful mountainview from the room. Would really recommend! Arigato gozaimasu.

Location of the Ryokan is excellent and very convenient. Service is fantastic from valet parking, front desk to in room dining. However, the property is very old and the dated. As the walls are thin, noisy neighbours made it difficult to sleep.

Nice staff. Good room. Location is a bit far from things but good for quiet environment. Driving is a must. The food, good but not as good as some other places we were in before. Recommend to try especially if in the area.
