I love this place so much that a part of me wants to gatekeep this hidden gem. Fanzhu梵住 is a beautifully curated boutique hotel that delivers outstanding hospitality. I initially booked a 5-day stay but loved it so much that I extended for an extra day, willingly sacrificing my next destination. I was initially worried the hotel might be a ”pretty façade.” Fortunately, Fanzhu met all my needs of functionality and comfort (Breakfast, Air Conditioning, an excellent shower, free self-service laundry, an ideal location). The property is far from perfection, but it overcompensates with simple, heartfelt sincerity. You can feel the tremendous thought and effort poured into this place to make guests feel comfortable. ✨ Highlights, Who Will Love This Place: ✅#English-Speaking Travellers: For foreigners unfamiliar with China, it is extremely helpful that the owner is fluent in English. ✅#Design & Aesthetics: Warm & modern. The property exudes zen-like comfort with charming decors. It has a gorgeous yard, with swimming pool, and ample outdoor seatings. ✅#Remote workers: I didn’t plan to work on this trip, but I could see myself working there remotely. If you come from the city where every building looks like a boxy Lego piece, you will deeply appreciate this place. ✅#Personalized Service: Kudos to the young lady boss! In a place like Wanfenglin where the location pins and 导航 can be vague to foreigners, sh took the time to understand my itinerary, how I planned my routes around Wanfenglin. She gave recommendations, and helped me check my “Destination” input on car hiring app. Airport and railway station pickups can also be arranged easily too. ✅#Immaculate Rooms: THE BED! Oh my, the bed! The linens, pillows, and towels are all premium quality. Even the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash feel luxurious. The bed is so comfortable that I would return just for a sleep-in holiday. Ok I know I’m mentioning the bed twice but it’s worth mentioning thrice. Extra points from me that the rooms are non-smoking. ✅#Location: Before arriving, I read a review describing this place as ”a piece of tranquillity close to the action”. Now I get it. It sits as an independent building on a peaceful road/hill(?), yet it is a short, easy walk to the Bagua fields and Zhong Nahui, where you can find idyllic cafes, little shops, and children playing in the fields. ✅#Breakfast: Delicious local-flavoured noodles!They also offer more conservative standards like toasts, eggs, and coffee. Oh, the hotel has an ice machine! Ooooohh so sexy in the hot weather (apparently ice cubes are rare in Wanfenglin). ✅#The Resident Pets: As a pet lover who willingly pays to visit cat cafes, having resident dog and cats sealed the deal for me. ✅#BONUS TIP: The Rooftop Night Sky. Unassuming and rugged at first glance, I was initially unimpressed. But I heard good reviews from others, so I gave it another go, and am thankful I did! Stay awhile, allow your eyes some time to adjust in the darkness, and you would see the sky completely transforms. On my last night, I saw a shooting star! I kid you not. It was an absolutely unbelievable, unforgettable moment. Incredibly awesome! ⚠️ Considerations Before You Book (Who should avoid): - If you love standard chain hotels. Fanzhu is intimate enough to offer personalized service. But I can imagine some of my more pampered friends who prefer international breakfast buffet spread would struggle to settle for this simplicity. Some things are just not realistic expectations off a boutique. - Mobility needs: There is no elevator. They would graciously carry your suitcases. However, elderly may want to enquire about ground-floor room. - In the midst of nature: If you have zero tolerance for insects, you may want to skip staying in Wanfenglin. It is a humid, lush environment surrounded by fields and trees. Personally, with a body spray of insect repellent, I wasn't bothered at all. - Pet allergies: If you hate pets (but why would you? :( w

Me and my girlfriend got picked up at Congjiang train station which was very convenient. Right from the start the owners of the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The accomodation is located at the back of the village next to a field where they grow rapeseed flowers and rice during the year. For us the location was perfect as it is very peaceful and quiet but simultaneously litterally a few steps away from the beautiful vibrant little village. The room was very spacious and clean with a gorgeous view on the field. The interior is very well matched and has great facilities. There was even a small laundry machine so we could do some laundry ourselves. So far during our travels in China, this stay was the best we had! There is a very stylish and cute coffee/restaurant located on the first floor of the building. This is also where you will have a delicious breakfast and where Ni Li and her sister will greet you with a smile every time you walk by. Ni Li, her husband Tao Mingqing, her sister and brother played a crucial part during our stay as after the first night my wife got very sick due to an infection and barely left the room during our stay. The second night I got foodpoisoning which made the situation even worse. (Not from the hotel!). We ended up extending our stay due to her condition. Luckily Li's English is very good so that helped us a lot in navigating the medical difficulties. We were extremely lucky to be staying with Li and her family as they took care of us like we were their own family. Preparing custom meals and dinner tailored to our needs every single day, preparing us tea, calling the local doctors and translating and taking us to the local hospital back and forth multiple times. We were there during the Qingming festival so no cars were allowed in the village which made it more difficult to reach the hospital. This didn't stop Tao Mingqing as he took us to the local hospital several times on the motorbike, one by one! The last time I even forgot a bag and he even went back to get it for me! He truly is a legend. Fortunately, my recovery was fairly quickly so I had the chance to explore the village a little by myself and spend time with Li and Ming while staying close to the room for my girlfriend. On day 4 my girlfriend's fever was coming down and she improved a little. Li and Ming invited us to have tea with them. Ming showed me his vast collection of tea and made sure to prepare the best tea suitable for our condition. The tea was truly amazing and he ended up filling a big bag with different kinds of teas as a gift for us! And that was not it, to make sure we would never forget them and drink tea mindfully the Chinese way when we're back home, they gave us the tea cups we used traditionally decorated with the blue dragon and phoenix. It was a very stressful situation and when we felt at our most fragile, they were there to take care of us, strangers they just met. This says everything about these wonderful people. Even though the illness of my girlfriend and the rough situation, we think back to our stay with a very warm hearth as our special experience forged a bond we'll never forget. We are incredibly lucky to have met Li and her family. We have said thank you to them 100s of times already, but I can't express enough how grateful I am for this people. Thank you for taking care of us like your family!!! ＜3 If you are unsure about staying here, there is truly no reason why you shouldn't! Whatever the situation, Li and her family will do everything they can to improve your stay. I'm sure you'll have a blast!

Abbiamo scelto con cura questa locanda e ha superato ogni aspettativa, è stata davvero fantastica. Anche se il giorno del nostro arrivo l'ingresso più vicino alla locanda era chiuso per lavori di manutenzione nel parco, e abbiamo dovuto usare l'ingresso più lontano, rendendo il viaggio un po' più complicato. Faceva molto caldo e il ragazzo della locanda ci aspettava da tempo al parcheggio, aspettando pazientemente per un bel po', il che ci ha commosso molto. Autobus turistico, navetta panoramica e poi camminata: è stato un bel tour de force, e quella comunicazione del parco ci ha lasciato senza parole. Ma una volta arrivati in camera, con l'intero villaggio Miao che si apriva davanti ai nostri occhi, tutta la fatica e il leggero risentimento sono svaniti all'istante. La locanda si trova proprio accanto al punto panoramico, si prende un piccolo sentiero per raggiungerla. Abbiamo scelto una stanza ai piani alti e la vista dal balcone era la stessa del punto panoramico, assolutamente mozzafiato. La stanza non era molto alta, ma era estremamente pulita ed elegante, e i prodotti da bagno erano di ottima qualità, il dentifricio era di Yunnan Baiyao. Appena arrivati in locanda, ci hanno offerto un tè pomeridiano. La sera, seduti sul balcone, ammirando il paesaggio e chiacchierando, mettendo da parte la commercializzazione, il villaggio Miao è davvero molto bello. Anche la colazione era buona, una porzione individuale molto rinfrescante. Dopo colazione, il tempo si è schiarito e fare una passeggiata dal sentiero accanto alla locanda fino al fiume ai piedi della montagna è stata un'ottima esperienza, per poi tornare indietro in auto. Il servizio della locanda è eccellente. Abbiamo notato un piccolo difetto nella stanza e l'abbiamo menzionato casualmente alla reception. Con nostra sorpresa, ci hanno offerto del caffè come scusa, il che mi ha fatto sentire un po' in imbarazzo.

L'hotel è proprio dall'altra parte dell'aeroporto. Dopo il cammino della nostra famiglia sono arrivati all'hotel per qualche minuto. Il hall ha un panino.C'è un posto per bere caffè al primo piano dell'hotel, e c'è un po'di pane in vendita. Belinda, il personale, è una bambina molto entusiasta, guarda che abbiamo portato i bambini a prendere il bagno per i bambini. La stanza è molto spaziosa. Viviamo in questo posto che possiamo vedere all'aeroporto. I bambini amano guardare l'aereo vicino alla finestra. La notte non è un po'di dormire, e'molto buona un'esperienza di soggiorno.

What I like most is : The room is on the fourth floor. I didn’t pay for an expensive room so the room looks out to the backyard which is disorganized. If I pay more I would’ve gotten a better view. What I pay is what I get obviously. Nevertheless the room is very very nice. It has many lights and well lit and I love it. I can read without feeling that I am living inside a cave. The smart toilet is a place to for buttock massage.  The breakfast is quiet good.. It has fruit, bao zi and a freshly made bowl of rice noodles. The hotel offers fruit for free . I love to have fruit and the fact that I don’t have to buy it and carry it back to the hotel. I have daily house keeping . My garbage was emptied.  There are 2 massage chairs that are very good. The hotel decor in the lobby and the room are very pleasant. The owner has good ‘taste’. I am not a big fan of disposable towels. If there is anything I prefer, is I want to cloth bathing towels. I felt like I used a piece of enormous napkins to dry my body. This is not a deal breaker though as I only stay 2 nights. If I stay longer, there would be anything else to do because I complete the whole circuit in less than 4 hours. The next day I went to Yao Shan and there wasn’t many people . But being 65, the entrance is free but I paid 20 rmb for the short bus ride. I paid 15 rmb one way on a DiDi there and the same coming back. The location is at the extreme end of this neighborhood and would require a 10 minutes uphill to the entrance. The park is quite big. You have to walk 10 minutes to 15 minutes to the entrance, then after you buy the ticket, another 10 minutes to the bus stop so it is quite a lot of walking before you begin your journey. If I have to do it all over again, I would have spent more time at every stop. I misunderstood that route A and route B is different. Route B is exactly the same as route A in reverse. The information given by the owner should include the trail from the bus top to the bridge . There is an option to ride a boat and then walk a bit. The trail is easy to walk and well maintained and quite pleasant early in the morning and before closing as there will be fewer people . The hotel is a bit far if you have a lot of luggages.  In summary, this hotel is the only one that offers breakfast in my 5 weeks through China and it was surprising good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Ambiente: L'ambiente è bello e piacevole, proprio ai piedi del monte Fanjing. Dotazioni: stile di design in stile Guizhou, stile unico, rinfrescante, mi piace! Salute: il livello generale corrisponde al livello dei prezzi! Ho ricevuto un prezzo basso a causa della bassa stagione, ma c'è qualcosa che non va nell'asciugamano da bagno. I capelli cadranno quando mio marito si asciugherà dopo aver fatto la doccia? Quindi ho scelto il mio asciugamano da bagno usa e getta! La porta del bagno non si chiude ermeticamente e il soffione della doccia oscilla da un lato all'altro! La stanza 211 deve essere riparata! Servizio: la signora che mi ha fatto il check-in mi ha aiutato a migliorare la mia stanza! Grazie mille! Quando siamo partiti, la governante Xiaoman è stata molto disponibile nel portare i bagagli e nel controllare la carta. Nel complesso, tutte le donne delle pulizie sono state molto gentili. Hanno risposto a tutte le domande con entusiasmo e complimenti! Altamente raccomandato!

Zhijin Resort è un tranquillo retro di terrazza montana, con camere pulite, spaziose e progettate per il comfort, con molte splendide viste sul paesaggio naturale. Il resort ha un'atmosfera tranquilla e accogliente, che lo rende perfetto per il relax dopo un giorno di esplorazione. Il personale è amichevole e attento, sempre pronto a aiutare. Le opzioni di cena includono piatti locali e internazionali, che aggiunge la comodità di soggiornare sul posto. Anche se si trova un po 'fuori il centro della città, l'ambiente tranquillo e l'aria fresca lo rendono molto utile.

I booked this hotel as I had read good reviews. Indeed this B&B is impressive. The room is very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay there. There is even a bathtub next to the window with a view. You will need to contact the hotel owner prior to arrival at the village so that a porter will meet you at No. 6 风雨桥, which is located about 100 meters where the shuttle bus drop you at the entrance to the village. You will not be able to find your way to the hotel as the entrance to the hotel is rather hidden away. The two young chaps who picked us were extremely polite, cheerful and eager to serve. They carried our luggages where we walked to reach the station of a golf cart type of vehicle. You board the vehicle and alight at the first stop up the mountain (see picture 6). The simple breakfast fare of home-cooked noodle soup with minced pork, hard boiled egg, sweet corn and sweet potato was delicious. The soup base looked bland but it was very tasty. The location of this B&B is superb as you can walk down the slope to reach the village center in 10 minutes. Tip: we took the golf cart vehicle and travelled uphill and alighted at the end (Pastoral Sightseeing area) where there is roundabout for the vehicle to loop back to the terminal. It is recommended to alight here where you will see beautiful vast green pastures and lotus flowers were in bloom. You can then wait for the sightseeing bus (your entrance ticket would cover four sightseeing bus trips) at the opposite platform and it will bring you to the top viewing platform to see the whole village lighted up in the evening. To return to the hotel, you then take the sightseing bus back to the Pastoral Sightseeing area. From here you wait for the golf cart vehicle to transfer you back to the hotel. How I wish someone had posted these information on this Trip.com review platform as it was a bit confusing on how to take the different vehicles in the mountain. Lastly, thank you to the owner of this B&B for making our trip a memorable one.

Il parcheggio di ogni hotel nel villaggio di Qianhu Miao può essere molto difficile. È necessario camminare oltre 600 metri con bagagli, coda per una navetta locale, e poi camminare o salire le scale per raggiungere qualsiasi hotel che prenoti. Come un viaggiatore solitario con mia figlia e due valigie, questo si sentiva inizialmente incredibile quando pensava a questa idea. Sono molto felice di aver scelto di stare con questo hotel. Prima di arrivare, il personale mi ha contattato proativamente tramite WeChat e ha mandato qualcuno a incontrarci al checkpoint fuori dal villaggio per aiutarci con il bagaglio, e guidarci sulla navetta. Questa assistenza pensata ha fatto una grande differenza. La posizione dell'hotel era perfetta, proprio accanto alla piattaforma di visualizzazione. Dopo aver uscito dalla navetta elettrica, ci è voluto solo un minuto a piedi per raggiungere il lobby. Le viste dal lobby, dal tetto e dalla stanza sono assolutamente stupende. Non abbiamo dovuto visitare opinioni pubbliche incarnate godere della vista notturna brillante del villaggio di Miao dalla nostra stanza era più che sufficiente. Il colazione era generoso e delizioso, con un caffè sorprendente. È situato vicino un ristorante di zuppa di pesce molto acido. Tutti i membri del personale che abbiamo incontrato erano caldi, amichevoli e genuini. Insegnarono pazientemente a mia figlia il batik etnico indigo di colore di Miao che le piaceva tanto che non poteva fermarsi. Anche dopo l'esame, hanno aiutato a portare il nostro bagaglio tutto il viaggio verso il parcheggio, che è stato davvero apprezzato. Anche se il nostro soggiorno era breve, potevamo davvero sentire la cura, l'attenzione ai dettagli, e la gentilezza da tutti all'hotel. Rimanere qui mi sentivo più come essere a casa che a un hotel. Sicuramente torneremo di nuovo e rimarremo per più tempo. Molto raccomandato!
