Cina: hotel con bar nella provincia di Fujian

This place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

This is a very good hotel. It is right next to the shopping mall, so restaurants and coffee shops are everywhere. We really appreciated the friendly front desk staff getting us an upgraded room. It is spacious, cleaned, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we need. We love their long and cleaned pool. It’s perfect for lap swimmers. Definitely we will recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

L'hotel ha un'ottima posizione e il trasporto è molto conveniente. La strada pedonale Zhongshan Road è proprio davanti alla porta. È molto comodo uscire a fare una passeggiata la sera, godersi il fresco, fare shopping e mangiare. Il servizio della reception dell'hotel è buono, ma il servizio dell'addetto alle camere non è abbastanza buono. Gli asciugamani non vengono cambiati ogni giorno e il lavandino non viene pulito. Spero che l'hotel possa rafforzare la gestione del servizio degli addetti alle pulizie e non trascurare i dettagli.

Dato che non era un periodo di grande affluenza e saremmo rimasti per un'intera settimana, al momento del check-in ci hanno assegnato la Wooden Loft Family Room, che era piuttosto carina. La stanza era confortevole, con ampie finestre e una bella vista sul ruscello e sulla foresta. Era fantastico avere una lavatrice, che aveva anche la funzione asciugatrice, così potevamo comunque asciugare i vestiti quando era nuvoloso e fresco. Il WC intelligente è stato un po' deludente: il controller non era molto reattivo e lo scarico era molto debole. La vasca era bella, anche se l'acqua non era abbastanza calda da renderla confortevole. Soprattutto abbiamo apprezzato il cortile e l'area colazione/ristorante, in particolare la sala da tè. Sono davvero ben progettate e organizzate e offrono un piacevole spazio per rilassarsi, leggere e scrivere. La colazione era piuttosto buona, le porzioni venivano fornite in base al numero di persone, anche se spesso non erano sufficienti per noi e di solito ne chiedevamo un'altra. La sera ci portavano anche un vassoio di frutta e yogurt in camera, che abbiamo apprezzato molto. La posizione è comoda per raggiungere a piedi lo Yuchanglou Tulou a Xiabancun, anche se parte del percorso si svolge sulla strada principale, che può essere trafficata. Per raggiungere altre zone come Tianluokeng e Taxiacun è possibile anche camminare, anche se a volte è necessario percorrere la strada principale in quanto non ci sono sentieri o stradine secondarie. C'è un servizio di autobus turistici che collega i punti panoramici e si può anche fermarli durante il tragitto, anche se è necessario acquistare prima un biglietto di trasporto, che non è semplice da ottenere se non lo si fa in anticipo. Quindi, la maggior parte degli ospiti arriva con la propria auto o ne noleggia una. Se si arriva in treno, sebbene trip.com indichi le stazioni ferroviarie di Yongding e Longshan come le più vicine, in realtà la stazione più veloce e comoda è quella di Nanchino. Inoltre, poiché l'hotel si trova all'interno dell'area panoramica, è necessario acquistare i biglietti per l'ingresso, sia online che cartacei all'ingresso.

Questo è un fantastico resort, proprio nello stile che mi piace. Nel cortile dell'hotel si trovano una caffetteria e una sala da tè, consigliate sia alle famiglie che ai viaggiatori singoli. Ci sono molte piante nel cortile, tra cui un piccolo giardino botanico. Il proprietario è molto cordiale e ha una solida esperienza nell'estetica del design degli spazi. Ha creato un hotel dall'atmosfera fantastica, rilassante e confortevole, molto borghese e romantico. Anche la camera è pulita e ci sono biscottini e acqua purificata da bere. Anche il personale è molto entusiasta e ha consigliato itinerari turistici nei dintorni e alcuni pasti sfiziosi. Vale la pena consigliarlo.

Prima di tutto, non so come sono arrivate le cinque stelle di Trip.com. Questo è l'hotel a cinque stelle? La stazione di Yao Tao ha bisogno di 38 yuan per prendere un autobus, 18 yuan per prendere un autobus per la strada culturale, 115 yuan, non è vicino. La stanza è grande, non c'è nessun apparecchio di tintura, non posso stare in un ufficio per 500 dollari per tintura, non c'è niente.

Hotel is located in the old town and within walking distance to the street for hailing the cab. They also provide shuttle service to the east gate of the old town. The old town is very charming and pleasant to explore, shop and eat. The hotel room is very clean and tidy. Room outside has balcony to overlook the street. The staff are very helpful to attend our questions, especially provide clear instructions to get to the hotel. We enjoy our stay very much.

Il trasporto dell'hotel è molto conveniente: c'è un sito molto conveniente da Xiamen Airport; si può camminare per la città antica di Zhuzhou; mangiare il cibo è molto vicino.L'ambiente all'interno dell'hotel è anche buono, molto bello; le strutture sono buone, sono tranquilli e dormire bene, la zuppa di arachidi di notte è buona e il frutto è buono; il personale di servizio è molto entusiasta; I prodotti di peperoncino sono anche molto utili.Zhongzhou è davvero buono e delizioso, e il gioco di sacchetto è anche interessante; camminare fino a tre piedi può riempire il resto che Zhongzhou non ha mangiato, delizioso!Hotel molto residenziale!

It was an overall good experience. The hotel is an icon ”the Twin Towers” and is conveniently located in Siming, a stone's throw away from Shapowei, a cozy neighborhood filled with nice little shops and plenty of good coffee vendors. Although the hotel is a bit dated but the room still has its grandeur and spaciousness. The check-in counters are on 38/F and the staff are nice and courteous. Our check-in staff, Dora is definitely an exemplary of the high quality service I'd expect of a 5 star hotel. She was extremely professional and follows through with us to make sure we had a nice stay. She definitely made our stay very warm and memorable. We had a dinner at their ”Michelin” Western restaurant Coast, but the experience was not good. There were 3 tables at best, but the staff if any, were too busy looking at their phones. We had to wave many times for them to notice us. We ordered the fish, steak, and another seafood dish. The steak was overcooked and chewy, not what I'd expect from a ”Michelin” restaurant. The fish was barely luke-warm, and the other seafood dish was bland and uneventful. With the high price tag for the dishes, I would not say it's worth it in terms of taste nor in service. The breakfast buffet however was good in terms of variety of selection, as well as in the quality of their waiters. There is also a Lawson convenient store on the G/F of the hotel, and a small shopping mall next door. Their indoor swimming pool is nice and the view is excellent. Just remember to bring your cap as all swimmers require a swimming cap! We had a lovely stay at Conrad Xiamen and would definitely choose this hotel again on our next stay.
