L'hotel ha un'ottima posizione e il trasporto è molto conveniente. La strada pedonale Zhongshan Road è proprio davanti alla porta. È molto comodo uscire a fare una passeggiata la sera, godersi il fresco, fare shopping e mangiare. Il servizio della reception dell'hotel è buono, ma il servizio dell'addetto alle camere non è abbastanza buono. Gli asciugamani non vengono cambiati ogni giorno e il lavandino non viene pulito. Spero che l'hotel possa rafforzare la gestione del servizio degli addetti alle pulizie e non trascurare i dettagli.

Will give 10 stars if I can… fantastic location just within the old town but only 3 min walk from main road, yet located in a quiet corner in the middle of the food street… very convenient. The room is so comfortable that I extended 2 more nights to rest there. Beautiful buildings, clean and fresh room, fragrant shampoo and shower gel… and my favourite is there is this tea leaves burner that makes the room smell really good… the service by the 3 ladies and their male manager is fantastic too! Definitely with the price!

We booked 2 nights stay at Zhangzhou XiangYi hotel on 8 Decemberl. It is located inside the ancient city and is less than 10 mins walk from the main road. The hotel does provide free shuttle bus service to send hotel guests with luggage to and fro the main road. Not sure if it is free both ways as we only requested them to send us to main road after check out.
The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. When we arrived, knowing that we had not had lunch yet, the staff named Xiao Ou recommended us a list of good food options surrounding the hotel.
The hotel room is clean and cozy with the basic amenities provided. It will be good if the hotel can provide a small piece of soap to wash hands at the sink. So we make do with it by using the shower gel provided. Not a big issue for us. But the hotel does provide dry and wet slippers which is a plus point.
The hotel staff also told us to get ear plugs from them if we felt noisy at night as our room is facing some pubs opposite the road. But we did not find it too noisy and slept through the night. Maybe, it is winter season, hence not many people stayed out late at night.
The hotel also gave us some vouchers to redeem and use for some activities and food in the ancient city. We only managed to redeem the free muah chee aka glutinous rice balls before we left as we were busy exploring the ancient city.
We had an awesome stay at this hotel. It is comfortable and convenient to stay at this hotel as we could stay out late at night to explore the ancient city.
It is value for money for its strategic location, price and good service. The hotel staff also gave us a goodie bag filled with the traditional biscuits and sweets of Zhangzhou before we left. Thank you!

Nell'ultimo anno sono stato a molti hotel in tutta la Cina. Questo hotel è uno dei migliori.
La camera di gestione - Vista del mare è stata fantastica, la 24esima stanza ha una vista fantastica, solo una pietra gettata dall'isola di Gulangyu. L'hotel è in alto punto di vista, un vero hotel di 5 stelle in ogni aspetto, compreso l'eccellente palestra. Vi consiglio di prenotare una delle camere di gestione perché avrete accesso alla Sala Executive che vi permette di godere di deliziosi cibo e bevande tutto il giorno, accompagnati da molto pochi altri ospiti. La sala dirigente ha reso il nostro soggiorno ancora più piacevole e inoltrabile.
Naturalmente devo menzionare la posizione principale dell'hotel: a pochi passi dalla stazione della metropolitana e la piazza di crociera di Lujiang notturna.
Non c'è dubbio che se visitassi di nuovo Xiamen, ritornerò al Grand svizzero.

Very impressed with the level of service in ME Hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted with the concierge who helped us with our luggage. Check in was a breeze. All check in staff were extremely polite. We inquired about purchasing the Body lotion and the assistance from Ms Xiaomi（ 小米）was so warming and smooth. She explained very clearly and helped with couriering the lotion to our next destination in Shanghai. Many thanks to Ms Xiaomi. Such high level of service touched us very much. The hotel bed is very comfortable. Lobby feels grand. Oh yes, the breakfast is excellent. Overall good hotel and we will return to stay at our next visit.

I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay.
I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me.
I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters.
To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget.
For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms.
Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful.
The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees.
This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine.
This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit.
It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

UUtente ospiteDato che non era un periodo di grande affluenza e saremmo rimasti per un'intera settimana, al momento del check-in ci hanno assegnato la Wooden Loft Family Room, che era piuttosto carina. La stanza era confortevole, con ampie finestre e una bella vista sul ruscello e sulla foresta. Era fantastico avere una lavatrice, che aveva anche la funzione asciugatrice, così potevamo comunque asciugare i vestiti quando era nuvoloso e fresco. Il WC intelligente è stato un po' deludente: il controller non era molto reattivo e lo scarico era molto debole. La vasca era bella, anche se l'acqua non era abbastanza calda da renderla confortevole. Soprattutto abbiamo apprezzato il cortile e l'area colazione/ristorante, in particolare la sala da tè. Sono davvero ben progettate e organizzate e offrono un piacevole spazio per rilassarsi, leggere e scrivere. La colazione era piuttosto buona, le porzioni venivano fornite in base al numero di persone, anche se spesso non erano sufficienti per noi e di solito ne chiedevamo un'altra. La sera ci portavano anche un vassoio di frutta e yogurt in camera, che abbiamo apprezzato molto. La posizione è comoda per raggiungere a piedi lo Yuchanglou Tulou a Xiabancun, anche se parte del percorso si svolge sulla strada principale, che può essere trafficata. Per raggiungere altre zone come Tianluokeng e Taxiacun è possibile anche camminare, anche se a volte è necessario percorrere la strada principale in quanto non ci sono sentieri o stradine secondarie. C'è un servizio di autobus turistici che collega i punti panoramici e si può anche fermarli durante il tragitto, anche se è necessario acquistare prima un biglietto di trasporto, che non è semplice da ottenere se non lo si fa in anticipo. Quindi, la maggior parte degli ospiti arriva con la propria auto o ne noleggia una. Se si arriva in treno, sebbene trip.com indichi le stazioni ferroviarie di Yongding e Longshan come le più vicine, in realtà la stazione più veloce e comoda è quella di Nanchino. UUtente ospiteThe staff were extremely friendly and attentive, even before my arrival. They tried to contact me in advance, but as a foreign guest, I do not have a Chinese phone number. It would be more convenient if the hotel could ask for guests’ WeChat IDs through the Trip.com messenger instead. Upon arrival, the staff created a WeChat group and added me in, which turned out to be very helpful. Through the group, they assisted with all kinds of questions, such as recommended places to visit, how to rent an e-bike, and where to eat nearby. The responsiveness and service were excellent.
The room was awesome — very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable, and the view was fantastic. I also really loved the projector screen in the room, which allowed me to watch WeTV shows and other content. It made relaxing in the room even more enjoyable.
The hotel provides e-bike rentals, which is a great feature. However, I was personally under-geared for the weather. It rained the day before, and the entire day was cloudy with temperatures around 11°C. The sea breeze was very strong and cold, especially when riding the e-bike with the wind blowing directly at you. Proper winter gear is definitely needed in such conditions. If the hotel could provide glove and jacket rentals, that would be an amazing improvement.
In the evening, the staff even brought a small gift to the room. The gift was thoughtful and practical, and I really liked it — it was a warm and welcoming gesture that made the stay feel extra special.
Breakfast was okay. Guests are seated on Level 2, and the meal is served to the table. As I come from a place where some Chinese do not consume beef, it would be great if there were options such as chicken or beef. That said, the beef noodles were actually very good. The Western-style breakfast, however, was quite average.

Il servizio è molto cordiale. Quando sono arrivato a tarda notte, la donna alla reception mi ha illustrato le varie attrazioni della zona panoramica di Wuyishan e mi ha fornito una mappa utile. Allo stesso modo, quando sono partito, il personale dell'hotel mi ha aiutato a prenotare un taxi per la stazione ferroviaria.
La camera era spaziosa, moderna e pulita. Offrono bottiglie d'acqua e tè di Wuyishan. Anche la doccia era molto comoda. La camera era il luogo ideale per rilassarsi dopo una lunga giornata di arrampicata.
Ci sono anche molti buoni servizi. Alla reception vendono set da tè di Wuyishan a un prezzo ragionevole. Hanno una lavanderia self-service. Offrono anche una deliziosa colazione calda a buffet per 25 dollari, che ritengo sia un prezzo ragionevole. Anche la donna che gestisce il buffet della colazione è stata molto cordiale.
Infine, la posizione è ottima per esplorare Wuyishan. A 3 minuti di distanza c'è una fermata dell'autobus, da cui si può prendere un autobus urbano gratuito per l'ingresso sud. L'hotel si trova a circa 25 minuti a piedi dal Palazzo Wuyi, raggiungibile anche tramite un autobus urbano. Il quartiere di Sangu, dove si trova l'hotel, è pulito e ci sono molti negozi e ristoranti nelle vicinanze. Mi è piaciuto passeggiare lungo la strada principale di notte.
In conclusione, consiglio vivamente questo hotel per un viaggio a Wuyishan.

GGuntoubupahoThe hotel is located in a central prime location in a busy but relatively quiet side street, very convenient and close to everything you ever need. Plenty of attractions,restaurants, cafes and places of interest all within walking distance. We had a fantastic time here in Quanzhou with superb and hospitable weather all through the week, no withstanding the taiphoon passing nearby.
The facilities are modern, even an inhouse cafe/ restaurant which provides prompt services with near perfect tasty food and drinks. The room service on the low desk in the room made it the best and most memorable dining experience we had during the mini honeymoon. See the photos attached.
The staff esp the reception, even the cleaners, went out of the way to attend to every needs and request from us, always with a smile and highly professional disposition. I personally saw how they handled a particularly difficult client with such grace and calmness, which settled the impasse pretty promptly. I saw the client a few days later who was full of smiles, satisfaction and appreciation of the level of comfort and services she received.
I couldn't have been happier the 4 days staying and could have extended more days had there been rooms available. But I promise to return when the first opportunity avail itself.
The only suggestion I can give is to make the slippery floor in the toilet more slip resistant. Perhaps with some thin layer of anti slip mat whenever requested by more senior clients like me. I was extra careful going in and out each time, as the water ponded easily there .
