This is very spesial, much of the material from the old mines is put together in nice "mountains" just out of the main street

Impressive to see the amount of activity that must have been here way back when. Nothing like I have ever seen before, nice to stroll around

Man made hills

Impressive manmade mountain of stone residue from the mine. Nice view of the city and interesting surface on the red copper.

Worth the walk!

The short walk gives you a nice view of Røros, but you should take the time to look down at the stones and the “left overs”. The colors and strange rocks tells it’s own story (do the museum first).
