Stayed here only for a night and I believe we could have been the only ones there at the time. The photos do justice and the rooms are as advertised. Staff member is very friendly. Mini me and I went for a walksie around the grounds. There is an old school kiddie playground near reception, ping pong table, footy field and basketball court. It looks like (and the website has confirmed this) that it used to be a school. We saw a pathway heading up the hill and were tempted to climb it, but decided to err on the side of caution. I highly recommend the accommodation for people that want to get away from the hustle and bustle. Loved the beds - very firm. Made for a fantastic sleep. Shampoo, soap and body wash are included as well as your standard milk, tea and coffee. The bathroom has heated tiles. There are no other toiletries, which would have been nice, and the televisions in the room are a little small, but not a deal breaker. Towels also included, so no need to bring any linen. The room is large, clean, comfortable with dining tables and chairs and we had a great view of the field. This retreat has no breakfast, room service or have any pools or spa. It is just around the corner from town centre (approx 2kms), so provided you have a vehicle, you should be ok to get any kind of food or other necessities. Wifi is available free. There is a parking lot available. If you have elderly, drop them off at receiving area because the main parking lot is downhill from the entrance. We spoke only direct to the person who checked us in. Upon entering the retreat, it will seem that any cultural decorations or displays that the website advertise seemed to have been taken down and/or put away. We walked past a Chinese dragon puppet prop hung in one of the hallways while we were exploring the property. However, after talking to a staff member activities are still available, but run through bookings direct and/or in accordance to demand. This property has LOADs of potential. The staff member advised that they have archery, calligraphy, dumpling making and even a theatre room and communal kitchen for large groups. I was blown away with this information, so given everything I was able to find out, am looking forward to seeing what I can plan when we come back with the extended family. If you want peace and quiet, I would highly recommend this property. Ultimately it boils down to what you are looking for. For us, it is peace, quiet and privacy. Given the price (we paid AUD$197.40 for 2 adults, a 16yo and an 8yo) for one night, I think it is quite competitive for the area. In return, we got a big space, peace and quiet, clean and comfortable accommodation. No bells and whistles.

Qualche feedback costruttivo. Professionisti 1) Splendido. È difficile trovare resort in Australia con superfici e piscine all'aperto. 2) Un sacco di strutture! Cavalli, area bimbi, parco avventura, campo da golf, 2 piscine, palestra attrezzata. (Vorrei che questi fossero menzionati piuttosto che passarmi una mappa piegata (sembra scusarsi!) 3) Grandi stanze 4) Pratiche abbastanza buone contro il COVID al ristorante non coerenti altrove 5) Personale piacevole a colazione tutti i giorni e una cena 6) Non ho figli ma amo le attività per bambini, specialmente le auto a motore Opportunità 1) Siamo entrati in hotel tardi una sera nei giorni feriali. La signora che mi ha fatto il check-in è stata abbastanza gentile, ma avrebbe potuto avere alcuni convenevoli e un po' di attenzione genuina nei confronti della nostra esperienza, come le seguenti: a) Sarebbe stato bello chiedere se ci fossimo stati prima o se avessimo saputo di tutte le strutture. Abbiamo scoperto parte di questo solo mentre ci svegliavamo quella sera e il giorno successivo. b) sarebbe stato bello chiedere se avessimo bisogno di informazioni sui ristoranti o se avessimo bisogno di una prenotazione per la cena o se saremmo andati a cena fuori quando abbiamo scoperto alle 19:30 che la città più vicina, Leura, era per lo più chiusa o era prenotato. I ristoranti principali Embers e Jamesons hanno accettato solo prenotazioni per 2 sedute che erano state esaurite al momento della richiesta. È stata una fortuna che avessimo una macchina e siamo andati a Katoomba. Per fortuna non abbiamo bevuto prima di cena altrimenti non avremmo potuto guidare! Se sanno che le opzioni per la ristorazione sono limitate, dovrebbe esserci un dovere di diligenza e fare di tutto per farcelo sapere. Scherzando, la signora alla reception ha detto a un'altra coppia alle 19:30 che l'unica opzione era il servizio in camera, poiché ”questa è la montagna, non la città” che la coppia ha pensato fosse un commento scortese. La seconda notte abbiamo scoperto per caso che c'erano altri 2 ristoranti, il golf lounge e un grill. Il mio suggerimento alla direzione è di anticipare le esigenze dei clienti, specialmente quando potremmo non renderci conto di quali limitazioni potrebbero esserci 2) C'è stata una recente ristrutturazione morbida della proprietà. Le piastrelle avrebbero potuto avere un po' più di candeggina e una macchia intorno ai rifiuti del pavimento. So che a volte potrebbe essere stata passata una salvietta disinfettante sulle piastrelle, ma a volte la malta è mancata in questo processo e sembrava sporca. 3) La doccia è fantastica ma è troppo forte e inutilizzabile oltre il 20% di potenza in quanto non può essere inclinata verso il basso oppure spruzza sul tappetino all'esterno del box doccia. Entro 2 secondi dall'accensione della doccia, il tappetino era bagnato. Sono stato in grado di fare una doccia ok ma avrebbe potuto essere migliore. 4) l'esterno dell'edificio dell'hotel potrebbe essere pulito. Molte ragnatele sulle finestre. Dalla nostra finestra potevamo anche vedere una terrazza sottostante con un mucchio di vecchi mobili da esterno sparsi in un mucchio. 5) Ci sono alcuni faretti immensamente luminosi che brillano nell'edificio di notte. Tutta la notte. Non sono sicuro che il suo intento sia quello di illuminare l'edificio, cosa che potrebbe essere fatta dolcemente. C'era una perdita di luce attraverso le tende; questo mi ha fatto pensare che fosse mattina ogni volta che mi svegliavo. I letti sono abbastanza comodi ma hanno influito un po' sul mio ritmo circadiano. 6) I menu potrebbero fare un rifacimento per ricette più veloci e moderne piene di sapore e nutrizione con tempi di preparazione e sprechi minimi, guardando il menu nel suo insieme anziché i singoli elementi da preparare. Ciò consentirebbe più sedute tra Jamesons e Embers a cena con menu vari. Credo che qui sia il posto di blocco. C'era un signore a Embers che potrebbe essere più cordiale (ha un accento francese) perché quando abbiamo chiesto di guardare il menu per Jamesons ha detto che avevano sedute alle 7 e alle 8:30 e ho dovuto dirgli che avevo bisogno di visualizzare il menu prima di prenotare una prenotazione, dopo di che ha superato un menu e non è più tornato. Questo resort ha un grande potenziale. Potrebbero fare pacchetti golf, avventura o famiglia e offrire tutti i servizi del resort e le attività a pagamento. Non vedo l'ora di tornare e spero che le mie aspettative saranno superate allora!

A wonderful stay with clean bathrooms! We loved the heated beds . The location is close to the Main Street and convenient . We also took cab Uber to blue mountains which was time saving and 10 -15 minutes away . You could walk 4km too if you want . The receptionist was extremely friendly and polite!

We enjoyed our three-night stay at Leura Gardens. The accommodation is surrounded by lovely gardens which you can wander around. It is located amongst a quiet residential area which has some beautiful and fancy houses. Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. It included a microwave, mini-fridge, kettle, TV and a balcony. There is plenty of parking. The continental breakfast was great and well set-up - it included a variety of cereals, toasts, yoghurt, juices, muffins and a pancake machine. The breakfast room has big windows with a lovely view of the gardens and golf course opposite. The accommodation is only a few minutes drive to Leura Mall which has many cafes and boutique shops, as well as a Woolworths supermarket. A few minutes more and you get to Katoomba which has a larger range of cafes, restaurants and shops, including antique shops. There are many beautiful walks and lookouts in Leura, Katoomba and surrounding areas. We had a lovely few days in Leura and would stay at Leura Gardens again.

What a gorgeous place to stay. It is so tranquil, beautifully decorated plus has the most divine Spa. Breakfast is a delight, Saturday night dinner was divine.
