Yalakhom is situated at a remote yet accessible village in Himachal Pradesh called - Kalgha. Kalgha comes in the way to Kheerganga Trek, so those who are planning to go for the trek may consider staying at Yalakhom, as it is a great place to rewind and relax. I stayed at Yalakhom in the first week of June, the weather was pleasant and the rains made my stay even more pleasurable. When you will be at Yalakhom there won’t be any view you could take your eyes off. The people managing the homestay are also great. They take their time in cooking food, but they will serve you the freshest food possible with wide variety to choose from, that too at such a remote place. The wonderful folks at Yalakhom also offer accompanied guidance for treks, however I wasn’t aware of this until my final day at Yalakhom, so I couldn’t make use of the same. Pemba bhai, Agrimji, Resham bhai and Yangzee didi must be specifically mentioned. They will accomodate you as you are their friend, while respecting your privacy at the same time. I highly recommend Yalakhom notwithstanding your purpose of vacation, be it trekking or taking a peaceful break at the Himalayas.

Mr Vinod at front desk is extremely polite and helpful. View from Room and Terrace is breathtaking. Food is good . Taxi can be booked from hotel and is reasonable compared to city rates. Rooms and bathroom are clean. Only 400 meters away from Hadimba Temple and 800 meters away from Mall Road.

Wie stayed for 3 nights and had the 8 auspicious suite which has a living room and a bedroom both with beautfiul wooden floor and all decorated with Tangkas, Lamps and other nice things from the Norbulingka Institute. It is a beautiful hotel with a nice terrace where you can have breakfast or dinner. We liked the very friendly hotel staff, the service during the breakfast could be a bit better though. I recommend the hotel for a stay in the center of Mc Leod with a great ******* mountain atmosphere.

The hotel room looks decent. It had a mold smell and the bathroom was stinking a lot! we also found cockroach legs floating in our chicken manchow soup. Except for the above issues, the rest was good.

Tre di noi hanno avuto un piacevole soggiorno a Woodstock Reserve Naldera. Non è un posto fantastico, ma ragionevolmente costoso e il personale guidato dal signor Narendra molto utile e amichevole. La parte migliore dell'hotel è la posizione. La stanza che eravamo in aveva una vista magnifica degli alberi di Deodar. E se ti piace camminare, camminare e leggere all’aperto, è un buon posto con legno e disboscamenti grassi con vista sulle valli e sulle montagne. La pulizia è stata buona, anche se può fare con un po' più luminoso intorno alla zona di pranzo di lobby-cum. Grazie a Narendra ji e a tutti!

La proprietà è eccellente, le camere di vista sulle montagne sono davvero eccitanti, il cibo servito durante il colazione e la cena è stato davvero fantastico. Il personale è stato davvero gentile e umile, specialmente Ajay alla reception, Gagan ji che ha servito cibo . Il soggiorno sarà memorabile

I stayed in mcleodganj. It is around centre and walking to Dalai Lama Temple. The staff is really accomodating especially Chaman Thakur. The view from the hotel is really good. Prices and economical too. One can consider this while staying in Mcleodganj
