Hotel a 2 stelle in Normandia, Francia

This was our first stay with B&B Hotels, and the first of 5 bidet hotel stays during a two week road trip around France. The B&B hotel in Alençon stood out for several reasons. The availability of EV charging stations was a real bonus and made our journey much easier. The staff on site were exceptionally helpful and welcoming, quite a contrast to our experience of many of the other budget hotels. Staff suggested we ate in neighbouring restaurant where we got a 20% discount. Even though it had gone 9pm. Restaurant were happy to accept us and our discount was applied. Breakfast was another highlight: hot, well-prepared, and consistently replenished, which made for a great start to each day. Our room was also noticeably more spacious than the one we had in Toulouse, and the shower was excellent, with plenty of space, strong water pressure, and reliably hot water. What really made this stay memorable, however, was the staff. Across all five B&B Hotels we stayed in the week, the team here in Alençon were by far the most engaged, attentive, and customer-focused.

Very basic hotel, but suited our purpose, walking distance of town and restaurants, ideal for a 1 night stopover, very small room.

Pros: The staff is very nice and welcoming. We had a room on the first floor, which was very convenient since the hotel does not have an elevator. However, if you are traveling only with backpacks, this should not be a problem. Although the hotel is relatively inexpensive, it is very cozy and comfortable. We stayed in a room with three beds: one large bed and two smaller beds, as well as a spacious bathroom. Just be aware that the hotel does not provide slippers, but you can ask for water bottle. Cons: The towels could be cleaned better, as they already look quite gray and worn. And on the second day, the housekeeping staff only brought fresh towels and did not make the beds.

Grazie mille per averci permesso di rimanere al tuo posto. E' stato assolutamente meraviglioso. La stanza è spaziosa e ha tutto quello che puoi avere. Ci sono anche una piccola cucina e un bagno privato. È impressionante come questo spazio compatto comprende tutto ciò che è necessario per un soggiorno confortevole. Inoltre, c'è un soggiorno dove si può sedersi e rilassarsi ha un'atmosfera molto accogliente, come l'hotel. L'hotel stesso è molto conveniente, situato non lontano dal centro della città. Ha davvero reso il nostro soggiorno nella città molto più piacevole.

L'hotel è vicinissimo alla fermata dell'autobus gratuito per Saint-Michel. L'ingresso all'hotel e a tutta l'area è recintato, quindi per entrare è necessario un codice fornito dall'hotel. Per fortuna, ho incontrato un gentile signore del posto che ha chiamato l'hotel per procurarmelo; sarebbe stato utile averlo indicato nella conferma di prenotazione o altrove. L'hotel in sé è semplice, ma offre un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo. Tuttavia, mancano alcuni servizi che ci si aspetterebbe da un hotel: niente ascensore, niente prese elettriche vicino al letto, niente acqua in omaggio, Wi-Fi pessimo o inesistente. L'intera esperienza mi ha ricordato un campo estivo.

This hotel is quite new on the edge of Ouistreham and is an ideal stopping point before joining the ferry. The facilities were basic but perfectly adequate for our needs. You get a decent bed, air con, and small bathroom with shower and that's about it. There is no catering - you cvan have breakfast at a bench if you want - and no kettle or drinks facilities in the room. The place has an automated check-in system, which was on the blink when we visited. It is also a fair walk to get to Ouistreham's limited facilites. On the whole, we loved it.

Uns hat alles gefallen: sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, schnelles internet, 2 Handtücher pro Person, bequemes Bett, ein sehr sauberes Zimmer, tolle Lage (gleich am Busbahnhof), 5-7 Minuten zu Fuß bis zum Zentrum oder alten Hafen. Wir waren mit der Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden und können das Hotel jedem empfehlen. Wir würden hier nochmal übernachten, wenn wie wieder in Honfleur sind.

Sono arrivato all'hotel il 13 luglio alle 7:30, ma l'hotel ha detto che non c'era nessuna prenotazione nonostante ho mostrato al ricevitore la tua conferma email quindi non potevo rimanere. Ho scritto il tuo servizio di supporto, ma non mi ha aiutato, solo ha detto che non ho diritto a un rimborso, ma non c'era niente a che fare con me, è stato un errore tra la tua compagnia e l'hotel, sono stato diviso. Inviate questo al vostro servizio clienti. Controllate i miei registri saprete quante volte l'ho usato quest'anno.

Situazione tranquilla fuori dal centro, e comunque a piedi solo 15 minuti alla cattedrale. Camere erano molto pulite, minimalista e comunque funzionale con un letto enorme. Il bagno ha una superficie stimata di 1m2, ma tutto è disponibile, purtroppo anche il forno doccia inconsistente. La colazione era buona, parcheggio davanti alla porta. Per l'esplorazione di Bayeux è consigliabile.
