First impression — sangatlah cantik. Location tepi pantai, dan yang paling best, ada kolam. Bilik pun okay untuk family menginap, memang sangat selesa.
Tapi satu je yang kami kecewa — SERVIS & COMMUNICATION TEAM.
Kami sekeluarga bukan dari negeri sini, jadi bila check-in time pukul 3.00 petang, mestilah kami expect bilik dah ready. Tapi rupanya kami hanya dapat bilik sekitar 5.30 petang — AFTER 2½ HOURS WAITING. Bayangkan dengan anak yang dah tidur dalam kereta. Memang penat dan kecewa.
Untuk apology, receptionist lelaki tersebut kindly offered complimentary hi-tea, 3 additional breakfast pax, dan yang paling penting dia sendiri informed yang kami boleh checkout pada pukul 1.30 petang. So, okay lah. Kami appreciate the gesture and accepted it.
BUT THEN, THE NEXT DAY…
Around 12.15 PM, reception called our room asking bila kami nak checkout. We were confused because the receptionist the day before clearly told us that we could checkout at 1.30 PM.
The girl said she would call back, and another staff called us again. Same thing — she said housekeeping needed to clean the room and that we could not extend the checkout time. The complimentary breakfast was mentioned as the compensation.
Seriously? What do you expect? We were not one or two people. We were a whole family getting ready. At 12.15 PM you call and expect everyone to pack and leave almost immediately?
I told her, “We can definitely checkout by 1.00 PM.” But she still insisted that we had to leave before 1.00 PM. No argument from our side, we just followed.
The frustrating part is — WE WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE CHECKING OUT AT 12.00 PM IF WE HAD BEEN TOLD PROPERLY FROM THE BEGINNING.
The problem isn’t really about the 1.30 PM checkout. The problem is the communication between your own team.
One staff promised 1.30 PM, and the next day another staff called and told us something completely different.
First, we waited 2½ hours for our room. Then, after being told we could checkout at 1.30 PM as an apology, we were suddenly asked to leave earlier because housekeeping needed the room.
Please improve the communication between your staff.
Beautiful place, comfortable room, great location — but unfortunately, the service experience was affected by something that could have been avoided with better communication.
Miss communication really ruined what could have been a very nice family stay
