Shijian Palace

Shijiantang is a representative building reflecting the characteristics of the era and local characteristics of business gentlemen in the late Qing Dynasty. It covers an area of 2746.54 square meters, construction area 3534.10 square meters, and more than 150 houses of size. The hall is bounded by Baota Street, divided into north and south. There are 244 sculptures in Shijiantang, of which 27 bricks, 4 stone carvings and 213 wood carvings. The regularity and strictness of the main shaft of Shijiantang are combined with the East and West axis. The main and distinct buildings integrate the garden and the residence into each other, forming the "West House East Garden" house pattern.

Shijiantang is located in Renlifang, Baota Street, Zhenze Ancient Town, the famous silk town, and was built in 1864 by Xu's ancestor Xu Yi. It is a water town with the triple function of officials, Confucians and merchants. The Suijing Garden in Shijiantang has the name of "the smallest garden in the south of the Yangtze River", just like "the screw shell is a road field", small and exquisite, completely according to the terrain, pavilions, veranda rockery, flowers and trees are all available.

Shijiantang is located in Zhenze Ancient Town, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It was built in the year of Jiaqing, and has a history of more than 200 years. Shijiantang is a typical Qing Dynasty building in the south of the Yangtze River. It was rated as a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit in 1995, and was rated as the sixth batch of key cultural relics protection units in the country.

Shijiantang is on the old street pagoda street, this Shijiantang, from the street, did not feel special, but after entering, found that it was really a bit different. Shijiantang's owner, the surname Xu, is Zhenze's Wang nationality. Xu's house, which is also official and businessman, covers an area of more than 2,000 acres, with a total of 147 houses of size, but took a hall name Shijian, some people say that it is to advocate thrift, but some people say that the master is not deeply intentional. Shijiantang sits north facing south, three facing the river, but the front door is on the sedan, the back door is off the boat, the land is convenient.
