車を1日チャーターし、カイロから片道3時間かけて来ました。 この場所には、ラムセス2世が建築したアムン神殿の跡(オベリスクや石像など)が残っています。 カイロのエジプト考古学博物館に展示されているタニス王の黄金マスクもここから出土されたものです。 観光地化されておらず、人もほとんどいませんが、発掘そのままの姿を見たい人にはオススメです。
