Small roadside picnic area
Stopped here while biking on St Simons. Really just a roadside picnic area. Looks out over the marshland with some historical markers. Nice place for a break or stop for lunch.
Not easy to find…
Hard to find the exact location of this site. Apple Maps was way off. Waze got us close. The marsh is impressive, however. It’s easy to visualize a battle being fought there.
Blood Marsh
You must first know the history of this piece of land to appreciate it. It’s very surreal and very well preserved. Must see
