Not what it was
We camped at the Blanco campground and were last here about 8 years ago. While the camping at Heron Lake remains good, travelers here should be advised that the lake has receded to perhaps 10% of it...
Heron Lake a peaceful retreat
Heron Lake in Noerthern New Mexico is a lovely and tranquil lake set in an area of forest and meadows. It is a wonderful area for hiking or just sitting in s camp chair to read a book. Enjoy
