Lewis Black at the Fillmore in New Orleans

Attended the Lewis Black stand-up session on Sunday, Ap 16. Lewis was great in pointing out the state of our American life. He featured audience behavior, in a gentle, but provocative way. And he spent time helping us all see the deep, deep irony of a gun-shoot up in a TN church. What made the night interesting was the audience response--a mix of liberal/progressives and some likely "church" people. Lewis took us on! It was great fun and a relief to laugh instead of cry about the state of US politics. The venue is not what I prefer. I had a seat on a small chair. The ambiance is utilitarian. The construction outside is messy.
