An easy walk from the Joahana station

Go straight of the Joahana station, turn left at the Lawson convenience store, go past a small shrine, round the corner then you’ll see the main entrance. A nicely preserved, old temple.

城端にある真宗大谷派別院

城端曳山会館近くにある寺院。井波の瑞泉寺と同じく、真宗大谷派別院です。立派な山門、本堂、太鼓楼や鐘楼も歴史を感じさせます。

城端むぎや祭の前日

蓮如上人が１４７１年に加賀で開山し、１５５９年に)に城端へ移転した浄土真宗大谷派の寺院です。本尊の阿弥陀如来は行基の作と伝えられています。本堂前に城端むぎや祭のステージが組まれ、既に客席も準備されており、優美な彫刻が施された山門だけを見学して本堂への参拝を遠慮しました。
