Young men who volunteered to liberate NAZI occupied Europe
My mother's first cousin, Ian Philip MACDONALD, was killed in action on a night patrol on 19th June 1944 at the railway bridge just south of Putot-en-Bessin aged 24. He is buried in this cemetery.

26/06/19 We found your place of rest with the help of a lovely French gardener. So peaceful and so humbling thank you our French friends for keeping everything beautiful. My dad is 95 and this visit...
