Walk to the top
I walked to the top of Emerald Mound. Interesting plaque explaining the history of the mound. It was in a brochure of Mississippi mound cultures.

Very interesting ceremonial mound
This is worth a brief stop off the Natchez Trace Parkway. It is really huge and it is hard to imagine how the native Indians built this all up by hand.
