We stayed only one night at the Hera Hotel, when we found ourselves needing a last-minute room. But we were blessed with good fortune to find a room at the Hera Hotel, which has an excellent location in the Plaka. The hotel's location is perfect for visiting the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum and taking the Metro. There are many good restaurants within a couple blocks. We had the Small Standard room 308, which was comfortable but a bit cramped, but fine for an overnight stay. The on-site restaurant has a lovely view of the Acropolis. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a very friendly wait staff. The front desk reception was helpful in booking transfers to the airport and directing us to their ”internet cafe” to print boarding passes and other documents. Highly recommended.

La posizione dell'hotel è buona. Passeggiate dieci minuti alla piazza costituzionale. Il bus X95 è molto conveniente all'aeroporto. Il viaggio all'hotel a destra è a cinque minuti alla piazza Monascachi. La sera è molto calda. In realtà, questa piazza è sotto i piedi della montagna di Weichenstein. La reception dell'hotel è anche molto buona. Quando arriviamo alle cinque del mattino, non c'è tempo di soggiornare. Il vecchio receptionist ci ha detto di poter andare in sala da pranzo o andare al bar al tetto (bar solo dopo l'apertura) per vedere la città di Guardia.Abbiamo messo le scarpe sulla finestra per essere arrampicate nella stanza sottostante, E'stato tornato alla reception il giorno dopo, e anche i sacchi di plastica con le gabbie sono tornati.La prossima volta sono tornati a vivere qui.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel spinti dalle recensioni positive ed effettivamente abbiamo riscontrato quanto di buono riportato da altri clienti. Posizione eccellente, abbiamo girato Atene praticamente a piedi, Hotel stile classico ma tenuto benissimo, personale disponibilissimo e gentile. Camere non grandi ma con tutto il necessario. Ottima colazione.. fantastico il nono piano dell'hotel dove c'è il ristorante con una vista spettacolare su Atene. L'unica cosa da migliorare è il menù del ristorante per scelta poco ampia e spesso piatti cucinati non in maniera eccellente. Resta un'esperienza positivissima!!!

Il mio soggiorno era 10/10 L'hotel è molto ben mantenuto, tutto è super pulito. L'hotel è perfetto, si arriva ad Atene come turista - tutte le grandi città sono a piedi di distanza. La signora alla ricezione (l'ho dimenticato, mi dispiace) con i capelli corti è stata molto utile, ho seguito le sue raccomandazioni e il mio primo giorno ad Atene è stato ideale. Grazie speciali a Ludmila - è un'attivo reale per la società; è una signora di cuore che mi ha fatto sentire molto benvenuta per tutta la mia permanenza. Grazie per il team ❤️

Siamo stati quattro giorni in questo bellissimo hotel dalla vista e dalla posizione invidiabile: sorseggiare un drink a bordo piscina o gustare le prelibatezze di Cloud9 con la meravigliosa vista del Partenone è stata un'esperienza veramente incredibile. Camere abbastanza spaziose, pulite e dotate di tutti i confort unite ad una sontuosa colazione ed a una piccola ma pulita e confortevole fitness room fanno dello Stanley un imperdibile compromesso qualità-prezzo. Consigliatissimo.

La pulizia in questo hotel è un optional, la polvere e lo sporco regnano sovrani. Anche la sicurezza lascia a desiderare, nonostante ci siano pattuglie della polizia che passano a sirene spiegate durante la notte e che, tra l’altro, tengono sveglia la clientela. È stata un esperienza traumatizzante che è arrivata al culmine quando abbiamo visto una ragazza che si drogava e tagliava proprio davanti alle porte dell’hotel. In molti si sono sentiti male. Riconosco che non è colpa dell’albergo, ma piuttosto del quartiere in quanto povero e poco sicuro ma, onestamente, come esperienza non la consiglio. L’unica nota positiva è lo staff, gentili e disponibili con i clienti.

Great location as all main tourist sites (including Kerameikos and Filopappou Hill) were walkable - also outside the main tourist area, which was a plus. Roof terrace also pleasant at the end of the day. Hotel facilities are limited: WiFi, internet tv only (on mine you had to log in with your own details), aircon, tea/coffee, free bottled water. Cold breakfast option (set price of €10 - not €8 as shown on the website). Airport pick-up is now also €50 (more than shown currently on website). Rooms modern but.mine was starting to look slightly tired. In theory it was a ‘suite’ suitable for four (two small rooms) but this would have been extremely cramped, particularly as each room had only a ‘space saver’ type wardrobe ie. wardrobe rail coming out from the wall with a mirror in front and no other storage and a sofa bed in the ‘living room’. Despite the website description of each room with (only) a power shower, mine had a shower over the bath. Service was average: front desk tried to be helpful but local knowledge was lacking. Bed was made each day, but tea/coffee/water were not refreshed and used glasses and mugs were not cleaned. Despite this, towels WERE refreshed daily and there was no option (card or other mechanism) to get this stopped. I was surprised: it seems that saving water and energy had passed the hotel by entirely. In conclusion: compared to other prices and areas of Athens I paid a reasonable amount, but given the reviews had expected more from the hotel, although I couldn’t honestly say that it was bad, just ‘average’.

Had a few hours between connecting flights from Athens airport, so booking a night at the Sofitel was the best option to avoid non-hotel room surprises and miscommunication with apartment owners after a 14 hour flight. The distance from the terminal gates was literally across the street which was what I had hoped for. The cons: I came in with a 25Kg suitcase which was visually apparently heavy after a long flight and the hotel booked me the farthest room on my floor. Ok, no big deal. I’m young and strong. The first thing I wanted to do was just lie down on the bed to unwind after a long flight. I pulled up the tucked blanket to find that the bed sheets were stained near the pillows. Not something I would expect from a luxury hotel. Now I’m thinking if the sheets were even clean and what was the nature of the stains. Being extremely tired, I let it go and slept far from the stains. Went to take a shower. Two minutes in, I noticed the water not draining and water level rising. Had to shorten my shower time and abort with soapy feet to let the water drain before flooding the shower. Exited the room in the morning for my flight and noticed that the door was actually not locked while I was sleeping because the latch was stuck in the door. I feel that I would have just left the hotel a note on the shower and door and not write this review but the stained bed cover is unacceptable for the price I paid.

Highlights: beautiful views of acropolis and surrounding area from rooftop bar/restaurant space (also where breakfast served), buffet of good standard and restaurant staff very polite and a credit to the hotel. Improvements: reception staff generally very helpful but one particular staff member was not forthcoming with information/recommendations for restaurants/ details regarding late check out - we were always referred to come back later/following day to reception to ask someone else; when same questions asked later to a different member of staff, they were more than happy to help with all enquiries. Room: no ‘do not disturb’ sign available, housekeeping knocked on room at 9am every day, which woke us up; also housekeeping entering room after knocking on door without waiting for guests to respond; need some adjustments to respect privacy or guests; hotel corridors are very stuffy even in winter time Overall: a very pleasant stay

Bel appartement situé au 6ème étage avec une terrasse tout en longueur donnant une vue sur l'Acropole et le Parthénon. L'appartement d'environ 90m2 est très moderne et tout confort. Situé dans le quartier de Koukaki à la lisière des quartiers touristiques il permet de trouver une ambiance encore athénienne avec restaurants, commerces et autres même s'il semble que cette partie de la ville soit en train de se transformer en lieu de location saisonnière si on en croit le nombre de boîtes à clé qu'on trouve dans les rues. L'appartement est très récent mais l'entretien et le ménage ne sont pas au top (pas de ménage fait durant les 3 nuits où nous y avons séjourné et il n'y a rien dans l'appartement pour le faire soi même pas même un balai) ce qui augure sans doute d'une dégradation assez rapide du bien si ce point n'est pas revu...Personnel à l'accueil au rez-de-chaussée avec une politesse variable. Certains sont très avenants et d'autres, notamment celle qui semble être la manageuse du lieu, qui ne disent ni bonjour ni merci et qui ne semblent la que pour faire tourner le business...
