I have used this hotel for years. The reason? Because you cannot beat the value for money with the cleanliness, the facilities, the bed comfort and the staff attitude (who are there all night by the way, washing and ironing their own linen!) ..giving you a sense of security . Always helpful and friendly ..and they never fail in this. On the last occasion a special hello and thank you to Ivor who couldn’t have been kinder.

volevamo un Hotel a Douarnenez e questo ci sembrava fatto al caso nostro. Guidati dal navigatore abbiamo scoperto che non è proprio così. Il Hotel si trova a Treboul, frazione di Duarnenez, e che per arrivare alla graziosa cittadina di pescatori si deve camminare lungo la bella litoranea per circa 45 minuti (scomodo per rientrare la sera al buio), oppure prendere l'auto e guidare circa 20 minuti. Questo ”dettaglio” ci ha infastidito non poco, andrebbe specificato per correttezza. Hotel piuttosto vecchiotto, da noi sarebbe definito ”Pensione”, frequentato soprattutto da persone piuttosto in cerca di una riabilitazione motoria e dove le piscine sono certamente utili. Abbiamo avuto una bella camera con letto comodo ma con cuscini inadeguati, troppo morbidi, ed il solito piumone caldissimo. Il servizio di WiFi assolutamente insufficiente. La camera nostra dava sulla strada e la prima notte siamo stati svegliati da ubriachi che gridavano a più non posso: notte in bianco. La colazione non è certo la parte migliore del Hotel. Direi che il posto non ci ha impressionati, certamente non ci torneremo e non lo consiglierei ad amici.

Albergo ben arredato e pulito, davanti alla stazione di Rennes. Ci sono pero' un paio di cose da rivedere. Sono arrivato dopo le 19 e l'ingresso era chiuso. Per farsi aprire bisogna suonare un campanello ma nessuno e' venuto ad aprire. Ho aspettato un paio di minuti e poi ho risuonato. Per fortuna stavolta mi e' stato aperto. Anche tornando dopo cena ho dovuto risuonare, non c'e' nessun sistema per aprire il portone d'ingresso con la chiave della stanza. C'e' solo una persona a presidiare l'ingresso e immagino che se per qualsiasi esigenza, anche fisiologica, si deve assentare, gli ospiti rimangono chiusi fuori. Sono anche rimasto deluso dalla colazione, di qualita' mediocre e con poca scelta. Inoltre alle 10 hanno iniziato a sbaraccare, quando nei fine settimana doveva essere disponibile fino alle 11.

Viaggiamo spesso a St Malo e questo è stato di gran lunga il miglior soggiorno alberghiero che abbiamo avuto. Ci sono stati 7 coppie che viaggiavano e ci sono state divertimenti nella zona del bar dove potevamo riunire durante il giorno Amiamo la posizione centrale come potevamo tutti andare via come ci sentiamo come fosse tutto così accessibile . La stanza era grande e il letto molto comodo , grandi mutandine che sono un must per me

We chose this hotel as we were traveling through Brittany for 2 weeks by train. The hotel location is like a 5-8 minute walk from train station. Street easy to find hotel. The room we had was a decent size and we liked the large bathroom- large shower. The breakfast buffet had many choices. I feel it was the best during our visit through Brittany. There are 3 really good restaurants next door that we enjoyed during our 3 night stay. The old town is maybe about a 10 minute walk to the old town. Excellent housekeeping service every day! I realized I had left a vest at the hotel after we moved on to our next destination. I called the hotel and housekeeping had found it. I was lucky that at the end of our Brittany trip we were stopping at the Rennes train station again on our way to Paris and I was able to walk over and get my vest during the layover. The front desk staff had my vest all wrapped up and waiting for me. Great service all around. Thank you.

I wanted a hotel to be near my daughter in student accommodation. There really isn’t another hotel anywhere near so I had no choice. I have to stay there again in a few months time and I will take a kettle and a European plug adapter as there aren’t any USB ports in the room. There isn’t a kettle in the room but there is a machine for hot n cold water in reception- just be aware that it can be quite busy in the foyer area at times and so I felt a little uncomfortable making my drink! There isn’t a lift but the stairs were not steep. The bed was really comfortable and the duvet n pillows were super soft. The carpet/ Lino was very worn and needs replacing - I was glad I took my slippers! Shower was a French-style in-the-bath type so no super-luxury bathroom sorry! Room was quiet and private. It had a large window with a decent curtain and had an adjustable radiator. Smart flat-screen TV worked fine. So overall it was okay apart from the carpets and lack of kettle. The receptionists were really helpful and polite. They all speak several languages. Someone is on reception 24/7. You can buy drinks there and I had a pitcher of wine. They charge 13€ for breakfast which I didn’t have as I thought that was expensive for a basic hotel. I think the hotel is used for conferences during the day. Parking was right outside main entrance and it seemed to be safe.

La nostra camera era grande con una cucina, e abbiamo ricevuto un accogliente accoglienza con le direzioni e una mappa al centro di Vannes, che è a 25 minuti a piedi o a 5 minuti di auto per parcheggio gratuito. Si consiglia di visitare l'hotel per un breve soggiorno se si prevede di visitare Vannes su un bilancio.

Hotel abbastanza bello, pulito e con personale molto gentile. Buono il fatto di avere il parcheggio. La colazione non l'ho potuta fare. La posizione non è splendida ma in circa 500 metri si arriva a una serie di ristoranti.

We booked this Novotel due to the closeness of the railway station and an easy walk on flat ground. The rooms are very good although I was a bit bemused by our room safe not bolted in. Also we arrived on a Sunday and intended to have a light dinner in the hotel but their restaurant is not open on Sunday and the check in staff, staff the bar. Which was a little expensive I felt. This did make us visit one of the excellent local bars. And other around it were all very reasonably priced with lots of local produce and wine/beer. The bikes you can hire are a 300 euro(each) deposit but the bikes are free to use. I found the deposit to be exhorbitant where other places charge 50-100 euro. The pool and spa is great, and you book at reception. A good stay.
