Cambogia: hotel con piscina nella provincia di Sihanoukville

Tutto era perfetto per il mio viaggio in questo resort. Era un fine settimana, c'erano molte persone. La stanza si trovava davanti al mare, sentiva il suono delle onde, l’aria notturna era fredda, ma purtroppo la lampada decorativa fuori dalla stanza era danneggiata, facendola buia intorno alla stanza, ma tutto era buono.

Overall, a pretty nice resort on a Cambodian island. While the employees can be a little slow and inattentive, they get the job done. Breakfast is ok and the food is pretty good. My room was clean and reasonably comfortable. If you want to go somewhere and sit on the beach and have drinks, this place is ideal - calm atmosphere, comfortable beach chairs, and beautiful ocean. The resort is on one end of a large beach and you can walk 20-30 minutes down to a store and a few other establishments. This place also has a good pool that is surprisingly deep. I was there by myself, but I think it’s best for families or couples (there were other single people at the resort and on the beach). I would have no problems staying here again.

Siamo stati sfortunati a viaggiare in bassa stagione, che a Koh Rong significa il 99% di pioggia ogni giorno, da quanto ho sentito dalla gente del posto ne sono pienamente consapevoli, ma tutte le prenotazioni e le attività sono come al solito ma non possono essere godute, come lo snorkeling, la barca per barbecue ecc. a causa del meteo siamo rimasti bloccati in hotel per il 90% del tempo, NON c'è la TV (è scritto nei servizi della camera, l'ho letto troppo tardi) quindi fate attenzione, soprattutto se viaggiate con bambini piccoli. La piscina non è un'opzione a causa di tuoni e fulmini. Costa 15 USD arrivare in hotel dal molo. Non c'è un bancomat sull'isola, solo uno stand che ti consente di usare la tua carta per pagare il locale, poi ti danno i soldi, questo è addebitato all'8% 😡 Questo è importante perché per mancanza di connessione a Internet non puoi sempre usare la carta per pagare al ristorante per i tuoi pranzi e cene, anche quando puoi, c'è una commissione del 3% per farlo. Tutte le attività devono essere pagate in USD, ma le vecchie banconote rugose non sono accettate, anche se vi sono state date da altri commercianti sull'isola o se le banconote si sono bagnate un po' sotto la pioggia, il che era un problema frequente. Quindi venite con un sacco di dollari nuovi o vi ritroverete bloccati con poche opzioni. La sera prima del check-out, abbiamo chiesto allo staff di informare la compagnia dei traghetti che avremmo preso il traghetto delle 9:30 per Sihakouville (come indicato dalla compagnia dei traghetti). Abbiamo prenotato un viaggio di ritorno alle 9:00 per il molo come consigliato. Tuttavia, quando siamo arrivati, il traghetto stava partendo alle 9:15. Non eravamo gli unici rimasti indietro. Alcune persone avevano un volo da prendere più tardi quel giorno e sono state costrette a pagare altri 17 USD a persona poiché, secondo loro, era ”impossibile” farli entrare in una delle barche quasi vuote di una delle altre numerose compagnie di traghetti, perché non lavorano insieme, alcune famiglie hanno pagato fino a 70 USD per non perdere il volo nonostante non fosse colpa loro. L'hotel era standard, per un hotel sulla spiaggia, belle capanne, i letti erano puliti e comodi e il punto forte era sicuramente il cibo al ristorante, nei 4 giorni abbiamo provato molti piatti tutti deliziosi. Immagino che durante la stagione soleggiata debba essere una bella posizione e un bel hotel. Detto questo, pensavo già che fosse troppo caro per la bassa stagione rispetto ad hotel simili in Thailandia e Bali, quindi per me il prezzo che pagheresti in alta stagione non lo prenderei in considerazione, specialmente data l'intera esperienza con il traghetto e gli USD. ☹️

Fate attenzione alle foto pubblicate se non volete rimanere delusi. Il resort si trova vicino al molo, quindi l'acqua non è limpida come in altre zone di Saracen Bay. È relativamente tranquillo e la colazione è appena sufficiente, con un'ampia scelta di opzioni occidentali. Meno sarebbe meglio. Un caffè decente costa 4 dollari in più. Il personale parla inglese in modo molto limitato, il che può rendere difficile la comunicazione. Preparatevi a un po' di avventura: se il tempo cambia (anche nelle giornate di sole), verrete portati in trattore attraverso la parte posteriore dell'isola per raggiungere il molo di Sooneng, poiché il percorso sulla spiaggia non è percorribile a piedi.

Ho trascorso un soggiorno meraviglioso in questo hotel sulla spiaggia! La posizione è imbattibile: a pochi passi dall'oceano, con una vista mozzafiato sull'alba e sul tramonto. La camera era pulita, confortevole e ben tenuta, con tutti i comfort di cui avevo bisogno. Il personale è stato incredibilmente cordiale e attento, sempre pronto ad aiutarmi con un sorriso. Ho apprezzato in particolare la loro calorosa ospitalità, che mi ha fatto sentire il benvenuto fin dal mio arrivo. Il ristorante serviva cibo fresco e delizioso, e cenare con vista sul mare è stato uno dei momenti più belli del mio viaggio. Che stiate cercando una fuga rilassante o una base per le attività in spiaggia, questo hotel è la scelta perfetta. Non vedo l'ora della mia prossima visita!

Ottimo resort comodamente posizionato al centro di Saracen bay. La gestione della struttura è professionale e ben organizzata per arrivi/partenze, attenzione al cliente, proposte di attività. C'è una comoda piscina a bordo spiaggia, utile per rinfrescarsi nelle giornate di mare agitato. La spiaggia non è larghissima, per isolarsi un po' dal mondo occorre fare una camminata di 10 minuti o cambiare baia. Il personale è estremamente gentile ed il menù cibo è bevande è ampio, variegato e complessivamente di buona qualità (molto invitante la vetrinetta dei dolci). Assolutamente consigliato.

Novotel Sihanoukville – My Honest Review I recently stayed at Novotel Sihanoukville with my family, and unfortunately, the overall experience was below my expectations. The first issue was the hotel's policy on outside food and drinks. There is a sign clearly stating that outside food and beverages are not allowed. However, it doesn't seem to be enforced. The corridor on my floor was constantly filled with strong food smells, and even my kids' room was affected. The smell became so unpleasant that I had to request the hotel to spray the room. I also noticed that some rooms appeared to have more than five guests staying together. I'm not sure whether the hotel allows this or whether it is being monitored properly. I strictly followed the hotel policy and booked two rooms for my family, so it felt a little unfair if others were not following the same rules. As for the food, both the seafood dinner buffet and breakfast were just average. They were acceptable, but they did not meet the standard I normally expect from an Accor hotel. The room itself was comfortable enough, but the bathroom ventilation needs improvement. Whenever someone used the toilet, the smell spread throughout the entire room because the exhaust ventilation was not effective. The biggest highlight of my stay was definitely the hotel staff. Every team member I interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. From the reception team to the restaurant staff and the swimming pool bar crew, they consistently provided excellent service. They were the best part of our stay. One major disappointment was the swimming pool. The water did not look clean, and it discouraged me from swimming. This was something I really did not expect from a Novotel property. Overall, I left feeling that the hotel has good potential, especially because of its excellent staff, but the facilities and overall maintenance need improvement. With better enforcement of hotel policies, cleaner facilities, improved ventilation, and higher food quality, I believe the guest experience could be much better. Overall rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Had a great little vacation here. The breakfast was really good, and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. They provided great service throughout our stay. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back.

Outstanding Luxury Experience – New Year Celebration (31 Dec 2025 – 1 Jan 2026) I stayed at this hotel to celebrate New Year from 31 December 2025 to 1 January 2026, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, we received a very warm welcome from all the staff. Every team member was extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating, making us feel valued and comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel truly feels like a palace. Based on my personal experience, it is much better and more luxurious than Sokha Sihanouk Hotel and Independence Hotel, where I usually stay. It even offers the same level or more luxury than Try Palace in Kep. Every detail reflects quality—from the door handles to the bed, everything feels premium and well-designed. All facilities and equipment are modern, luxurious, and very clean. The room was spacious, with a huge bathroom, including a separate bathtub, shower/steam room, and toilet, which made the stay even more comfortable. One thing I really appreciated was the generosity: • Soft drinks and fresh fruits were plentiful and completely free • The breakfast for special for the New Year celebration, breakfast manu • They even offered free breakfast for my two children, even though they were over the usual free age limit — a very kind gesture The location is perfect, with what I believe is the best beach in Sihanoukville. The sand is incredibly clean, smooth, and soft—like ground powder—and the beach area is well maintained. I accidentally took their room key, the hotel staff were extremely understanding. They were not upset at all and kindly allowed me to return it on my next visit to Sihanoukville, which shows their trust and professionalism. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. It is far more luxurious than Sokha and Independence Hotel, and easily ranks among the best luxury hotels I have stayed at in Cambodia. I will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a true luxury experience, especially for special celebrations

I miei amici mi hanno detto che questo posto non è più quello di una volta. Non mi piaceva l'atteggiamento del direttore nei miei confronti come inquilino. Il primo giorno, ho chiesto di prolungare il mio soggiorno di una notte, e lui è venuto da me senza preavviso. Stavo mangiando in quel momento. In secondo luogo, qui non c'è isolamento acustico. Ogni conversazione verrà sentita dal corridoio. Inoltre, se per qualche motivo dovete andare a letto tardi, preparatevi a essere svegliati presto. La biancheria lascia davvero a desiderare, ma avevo la mia biancheria. La zona cucina era ben ventilata. Tutte le stoviglie sono fornite. C'è una pentola, ma non i fornelli. Lo scarico del lavandino era intasato dai capelli di qualcun altro. Era lì da così tanto tempo che si era formata della muffa, ma nessuno voleva pulirla, quindi l'ho fatto io. Non sono un maiale e non ho intenzione di vivere nella sporcizia. Il bagno è estremamente piccolo. Bagni come questo hanno bisogno di un tipo di ristrutturazione diverso, non quello che stanno facendo attualmente. Ciò che mi ha sconvolto di più è stato il momento del mio sfratto. Ho avvisato il direttore dell'orario di partenza con un giorno di anticipo. Era già stato fissato. Me l'ha chiesto due volte perché avevo scritto una frase complicata in inglese. Avrei dovuto usare un inglese più semplice. Ma il giorno dopo, al momento del check-out, ho chiesto di essere accompagnata alla mia auto perché avevo molti bagagli. Il direttore, però, ha detto che non era in hotel e che al momento non c'era nessuno. Nessuno poteva aiutarmi. Sono una ragazza forte. Non è difficile per me affrontare la situazione da sola. Il problema è stato che quando è arrivata l'auto, la guardia giurata ha detto che non mi avrebbe permesso di caricare le mie cose in auto senza la conferma del mio sfratto. E ho perso tempo ad aspettare che mi chiarissero le circostanze. Il lato positivo è che ho apprezzato il fatto che la piscina fosse sempre calda e molto grande. C'è anche un centro commerciale nelle vicinanze.
