I’ve stayed at too ***y Marriotts to count as a lifetime platinum member, and this is without question one of the best! From check-in to check-out, the facilities and staff exceeded all expectation — especially due to the grossly exaggerated negative reviews we had seen before arriving. The facilities are much more representative of a full-service Marriott than what one would experience in US-based Fairfield Marriotts. The staff were kind, gracious, and exceedingly helpful with all our needs. Vinaya checked us in and offered recommendations throughout our stay. Rohit kept our room in pristine condition. Jogender and Sree were the faces of the unbelievable chef and kitchen staff. Subhag, Kalpesh, Rasna and the entire serving team were top-notch. The security, pool, and cleaning staff were a joy to interact with throughout the day. I would highly recommend if you are looking to stay at a little piece of paradise within the paradise that is Goa!

Vi India 4G 12:28 AM 62% ＜ Double Tree by Hilton Goa - Panaji is an excellent property which is surrounded by lush green cover and over looks the majestic river Mandovi. We were on a vacation and wanted to split our time in the hustle bustle and high octane North Goa and so chose this property. the property came with Hilton assurance and our past experience with the luxury chain. The property is just 5 kms from Panjim main market and easily drive able with no traffic. once you reach the property, you are welcome with a typical Goanese style architecture with large conical atrium area. The check in was smooth courtesy Shweta at the reception. We were also offered welcome drink (branded bottled one which did not go well with the property) but we got to have a traditional chocolate cookies which is a regular at all Double Tree by Hilton. Room was clean and spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The highlight of the property is the infinity pool overlooking the expansive forest area and the Mandovi river. The GM Mr Shiv Bose and Tapan were quite courteous while we had sumptuous and large spread buffet breakfast. Personalised sweet assortment due to 26th Jan was a good touch. I stayed for five nights and paid 16,700 Indian Rupees, which is about 172 British Pounds. This means that I paid 34 Pounds per night. What did I get for 34 Pounds a night? Read below: “Hotel”?: It is NOT a hotel. Stop advertising it as a “hotel”. Reception: This is essentially the front house where the family that runs Garden Villa lives. You will not see anyone most of the time at the “reception” and will need to stand at the steps/entrance and look into the house expectantly and someone will come out and attend to you. That is reception for you. Garden: The “garden” is essentially a few patches of grass and a few average looking plants that grow nearly everywhere in Goa. If you are lucky, you will get a room that overlooks this “garden”. If you are not lucky, you will have a view overlooking a back street, or worse. Swimming Pool: Don’t be fooled by the swimming pool. It is a really small and shallow pool in open air – let us face it, Indians don’t have much of a swimming pool tradition/culture. The pool is about 10-15 meters from a very dusty and busy road. The pool is not covered so you can imagine dust, bird droppings, debris from trees, and heavens know what, fall into the pool. During my five-days stay, I did not see anyone cleaning it. I saw only once someone using it - a group of young Indian men having what looked like a bath. WiFi: Poor and intermittent. I would not say more. Room: Utterly utterly average room with a double bed, a table, a coat hanger, a TV (see below), a mirror, and small bucket as a dustbin (see photos). Absolutely nothing else. TV: NO FREE CHANNELS. TV was not connected to any network or cable in my room. I needed to ask the reception three times to come and connect it with cable, dish, or anything. They finally put a plug-in device (a kind or WiFi access point), which enabled the TV to receive Amazon Prime, Netflix, and some Indian channels. BUT you must pay for them. They are NOT free. Mattress and pillow: Utterly poor quality and old mattress and pillow, which hadn’t been well maintained and cleaned. The Garden Villa ***agement tried to cover the old mattress with a foam cover which was a little short and shrunk at the corners (see photos). Bathroom: Probably the worst bathroom you will get for 34 British Pounds a night. Toilet was old and rickety, paint was peeling off the walls and also off the rusty toilet door. Sink, taps, and mirror were looked uncleaned with signs of mould (or mold). Fridge: NO FRIDGE IN THE ROOM. Again, in most hotels you will find a fridge but not at Garden Villa. If you are in Goa, you cannot do without a fridge. It is very warm and hot throughout the year, and you will badly miss a fridge. But sadly rooms come with NO FRIDGE. Room service: You will need to ask the “reception” for someone to come around and clean the room. If you don’t ask, no-one is going to come around. Restaurant: No restaurant at Garden Villa. Azaya beach resort è un posto molto bello. Appena si arriva c’è una bellissima accoglienza. Il resort è molto elegante ma allo stesso tempo familiare dove ci si può rilassare. La vera vacanza. Ci sono tutti i confort gestiti da personale estremamente gentile e cordiale. Sachi e Sajana sono state molto carine e accoglienti. Sicuramente torneremo.

La posizione di Riva è eccellente. È sulla parte più tranquilla della spiaggia, ma è ancora molto accessibile a scacchi e ristoranti. Ci sono 3 piscine nelle stanze e i servizi spa sono grandi. Check-in e check-out è stato così liscio. Mi piacerebbe davvero poter pagare un prezzo più alto per Riva, perché è un bel ristorante con personale ospite e ha il potenziale di essere molto rilassante. Goa è conosciuta come una cucina sorprendente, e vorrei che Riva potesse offrire cibo che rispettasse le norme di Goan. Ho ordinato una tazza al caffè e era sottostandard per dire il meno. La mattina dopo, la samba e la vega erano immerse e poi saltate, e fortunatamente la mia famiglia ricca ha trovato delle opzioni alimentari sorprendenti al di fuori dell'hotel. Ci sono lavori da fare e aspettare di sentire migliori recensioni alimentari prima di raccomandare o visitare di nuovo.
