Puglia, Italia: hotel pet friendly

Unfortunately this was a stay of two halves, and I wish I'd heeded other people's low reviews about the host's attitude before booking. The place itself was lovely. A cute, clean little room that seemed authentic and had some nice finishing touches. The area around was beautiful and it's a great location. I was excited to see the room description, stating a spa, billiards room and other amenities that would account for the higher cost of this place. I saw the warning that the booking was non-refundable but took a punt.... I was wrong for doing this. Soon after booking, I received the first of many messages stating the jacuzzi in the photo was an extra 209 euros, which was apparently written in very small print, the large fridge in the photos was just for show and alongside this were given a set of house rules including not being allowed to eat in the room! I didn't like the attitude from the messages and I tried to cancel, over 2 weeks before our stay, but was refused. Cut to the day of stay I was sent another set of rules, this time warning us that if we change the temperature of the air conditioner or any other settings then ”the consequences will be on us”, it also told us to re-read the rules carefully and reminded us we couldn't eat or drink in the room. Self-check in was simple, although on the website it states there's a front desk and luggage storage on site... There isn't. It was 39 degrees outside and 27 inside. I messaged saying that in the heat setting, 24 degrees, was too warm and asked if we could lower the temperature, she refused, I asked for a fan, she pretty much accused me of lying, saying it WASN'T too warm, and after a long and draining conversation she ”allowed” us to change it to 18 degrees. After this, I tried to be civil and she responded with some suggestions of places to eat and visit. We ”respected the people who work for you” as she demanded in the messages. The apartment was equipped with basics but for the price, would have expected extras like small toiletries or glasses for water. It all went well until the last day on check out, I suggested some things to make the stay better such as a friendlier manner, trash cans in the room and more toiletries, as this was quite an expensive stay. I suggested she revisit the description of the hotel and that she didn't send ”the rules.” She didn't like this. In all honesty, the woman, I believe, is a narcissist, and can't take responsibility for her mistakes. She wouldn't accept there were areas for improvement and when it came to asking for help that linked to her apartment, she took it as a criticism on her part and went on the attack. She sent a final message which was copied from one previously sent, so this suggests she's had similar issues before. I had to block her because she wouldn't stop messaging me! I have all the messages saved and complained to trip.com who have been extremely helpful. If you want to stay in a nice place, this is lovely, but there are similar ones out there with nicer hosts. Don't give this rude lady business. I never did get to play a game of billiards.

La posizione dell'hotel è eccellente, molto vicino alla spiaggia e a pochi passi dal centro città, il che ha reso l'esplorazione della zona facile e piacevole. C'è anche una buona disponibilità di parcheggio, il che è molto comodo. Tuttavia, non ho avuto una buona esperienza durante la notte. Il rilevatore di fumo era posizionato direttamente sopra il letto, con una luce LED verde che lampeggiava ogni pochi secondi. Questo ha reso estremamente difficile riposare. Per riuscire a dormire, ho dovuto spostare il materasso fuori dalla camera da letto e posizionarlo nel corridoio vicino al bagno per allontanarmi dalla luce, il che chiaramente non è accettabile in un ambiente alberghiero. Questo è un aspetto che dovrebbe essere riconsiderato, sia modificando il posizionamento sia riducendo l'impatto della luce. Nel complesso, sebbene la posizione sia un punto di forza, questo problema ha influito significativamente sul mio soggiorno.

C'era una reception e ho potuto effettuare il check-in senza problemi. Vorrei valutare questo. Negli ultimi tempi sono sempre più numerosi i casi in cui gli appartamenti vengono utilizzati come strutture ricettive e i proprietari si trovano altrove. Ci sono strutture ricettive dove il taglio dei costi è andato troppo oltre. Anche quando ho provato a contattarli, ci sono stati momenti in cui ho riscontrato problemi al telefono, ad esempio quando venivo da un paese straniero e le mie competenze linguistiche non erano sufficienti. Inoltre, anche quando gli ospiti arrivavano alla porta d'ingresso, a volte erano costretti ad aspettare inutilmente a lungo l'arrivo del proprietario o di un agente. Da allora cerco di scegliere strutture che abbiano una buona accoglienza anche se sono un po' più costose. Gli ospiti arrivano stanchi. Spero che il numero delle strutture ricettive troppo care non aumenti troppo.

Camera confortevole con autocontrollo, davvero facile, abbiamo comunicato via WhatsApp e che’s come la maggior parte del b&b locale fa La strada è un po' rumorosa, ma comunque uso i capelli, quindi non mi sono causato problemi  Il letto è buono, non fa così tanta pipi  L'AC è centralmente controllato attraverso l'appartamento e mi sento un po' debole se viaggiate nei mesi più caldi dell'anno, anche è posizionato proprio sopra il letto, quindi non è molto bello perché si soffia proprio sulla testa  In generale, una bella esperienza per me e una vista carina  L'ospite è davvero bello nella comunicazione

La posizione è molto buona e super comoda. Da stazione ferroviaria a B&B prende solo 10-15 min a piedi; da B&B al centro storico 10 min. Il proprietario Francesco è molto amichevole e utile! Restereremo qui, se avremo la possibilità di tornare, Lecce!

An amazing place full of character, beauty, tranquility and serenity. The location is perfect just meters away from the Main Street. Perfect place to rest while u explore this amazing unesco site!

Un ospite così bello. Ero in Italia per un matrimonio e i miei vestiti dovevano essere irraggiungiti. Le ho chiesto di avere un ferro e suppongo che lei mi abbia preso i vestiti e li abbia feriti. Un bellissimo coppia.

Antonio was an excellent host. Very friendly and helpful and a pleasure to meet him. The roof view was incredible and the room was great

L'hotel in sé non è male e la colazione è molto buona, ma è un po' lontano dalla stazione, quindi ho dovuto camminare molte volte al giorno per raggiungere la stazione, la fermata dell'autobus o il centro. Mi facevano male le gambe per questo, ma è stato divertente vedere la città, quindi immagino che vada bene. Il personale è gentile. Non c'era riscaldamento, quindi faceva freddo la mattina e la sera. Ho fatto il bucato, quindi sarebbe stato un po' più facile asciugarlo se l'avessi riscaldato. Ma la stanza è spaziosa! Si sente bene.

Molto bel posto, devi compilare un modulo per poter entrare nel posto. Non c'è nessuno e se non hai il servizio cellulare sarà impossibile entrare.
