Check in and check out was seamless. Breakfast was bit hectic with nobody show us where to seat so we had to wander around. The variety of breakfast was OK, their tempe goreng surprisingly was the best in my pov. Room was basic, small bed compared to other hotels with the same price, no in-room minibar.

great hotel in central part of balikpapan. very comfortable room. very quiet. in fact great overall. very large bed. i just loved my time here

Molto pulito e confortevole.

Everything was perfect but I would like to highlight the receptionist Ms Sinta. She was so kind and extremely helpful. The other highlight was the excellent breakfast that consisted of everything one could wish for. All in all, I highly recommend to stay at Mercure Berau - we did 3 nights.

Molto buon hotel 3 stelle, e prezzo conveniente.

Book the location because of the location, next to mall and use the gym. Facilities provided are all there, nothing to pick on. Especially love the gym location. the breakfast is great, love the coffee and tea brew in the 'sock'. Good selections. Staffs in front desk to fnb, etc are polite and kind. Room is of decent size, basic for the price paid. It is clean in general. The toilet needs serious renovation. Taps, showers are OLD, accumulated rust, layers of molds at back of sink. The shower walls are all dirty between grout lines. It is clearly years of accumulated dirt and moisture that cannot be removed anymore. It needs serious revamp. I should have taken pictures of the shower, afraid I didn't think of it.
