Having spent 38 years in Japan, attending school and working in restaurants, Chef Dewi decided to bring her culinary expertise back to Surabaya, creating Ougi. Ougi offers authentic Japanese cuisine typically served at Izakayas. We opted for their Mix Yakitori set, which can be served in two ways: with a salty or sweet sauce. Additionally, we tried their Buta Negi Shabu. Interestingly, after finishing your meal, you can add a set of white rice and spring onions into the soup to create porridge. In terms of taste, those who have been to Japan might find it a bit underwhelming. However, the restaurant's vibe exudes a homey Izakaya atmosphere reminiscent of those in Japan.
