History in every stone 🏛️

San Giovanni degli Eremiti (St John of the Hermits) is an ancient church in historical part of Palermo, not far from the Normans Palace. It was a monastery, that was built in 6th century. Then it was ruined by Saracen invaders and transformed into the mosque. Finally it was rebuilt in 1136 and continued it’s history like a church and monastery. Now we can enjoy the rests of that beauty. Place is not very big, but very peaceful. Entrance ticket- 6 euros. #timetotravel
