If you are at Batam and unsure of what to do, do check out Yatch Club Bar at Turi Beach. They have a good variety of drinks at an affordable price - alcohol from $6 and live music at certain hours. 

They also have 2 pool tables available so for snooker lovers, you will be pleased to find out that it is free for all to play with no duration limit if you purchase Minimum of one drink.

Who says batam is just for kueh lapis and massages? You may reconsider batam as a travel destination after seeing this post. 

You can actually play water sports which is more commonly publicised and know in places such as Bintan and Bali in Batam. 

Find this place called Cabana Club and you will be able to do water sports such as parasailing, banana boating, kayaking, etc to keep your afternoon/day entertained. 

Also for those who are less sporty or prefer non water activities, river cruise and paintball are also available at this place - Recommend!!

Fortezza Fortress in Rethymno is the largest legacy of the Venetians and the largest and most complete fortification in Crete. The fortress itself is in many ways perfectly preserved, however, it was constantly rebuilt and changed. Thanks to the restoration, which lasted about 20 years, tourists and travelers can see the closest version of the Venetian coastal fortification to reality.

The fortress can be recommended for visiting history buffs, as well as an observation deck - it offers magnificent views of the city and the sea.

Are you someone who is into spicy food? Heard that India has nice Biriyani?

Chanced upon this shop due to its grand appearance, a shop 4 levels tall selling biriyani. We decided to try the biriyani here and the taste and outlook of food did not disappoint.

Chicken in the biriyani was tender and rice was flavourful. We had a strawberry lassi as well, a drink more commonly found in india and Indian restaurants. 

Definitely recommend this place as service and food are both good :) Check it out if you plan a vacation or even business trip to india. Environment for dining is suitable for both.

I had the chance to dine in for my breakfast buffet at the dragon palace hotel. The breakfast is a local breakfast buffet and not an international buffet. You can enjoy the ham tomato topped with sauces and place it inside the baguette. You can also try their local pho delight. 

As there is no staff at the breakfast area, you would have to prepare your own pho. The meat and noodles are available on the table. You will have to boil them and make sure the meat is fully cooked before consuming the noodles. There is also rice paper for you to mix with the vegetables to eat together. This is really the local authentic Vietnamese breakfast.

The Atma villa in Zakopane houses the only biographical museum of Karol Szymanowski (1882-1937) in the world. After Fryderyk Chopin, the greatest Polish composer from his early youth eagerly stayed in Zakopane, and towards the end of his life he settled here permanently, living in a villa at ul. Kasprus.
The initiative to create the Szymanowski Museum in Atma was put forward in 1937 by the composer Michał Kondracki. After the war, efforts in this direction were made by Szymanowski's niece, Krystyna Dąbrowska.
Villa Atma was built after 1890 as a typical guesthouse, one of many built in Zakopane at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries for rent to vacationers.
The museum is located on the ground floor of the villa and presents basic information about the composer's life and work, shows his contacts with Zakopane and the folklore of Podhale, collects his personal belongings, and also includes a reconstruction of Karol Szymanowski's office.

If you are someone who loves to cook, even on vacations, recommend Harmoni Suites Hotel to you. We were pleasantly surprised when we entered our hotel room to find not only a huge refrigerator, oven, but plates, stove, ladles inside our room! 
Room was also spacious and clean. 

Loved facilities here as well - they had an indoor swimming pool (means rain or shine, you can swim), gym as well for those who do not like water activities. 

For a 4 star hotel priced at ~$30, this hotel is definitely worth a stay if you are considering a Batam trip. Located near 3 malls as well - nagoya, bcs, gbm.

Are you someone who visits Singapore and loves drinking? Or a local that want a place with vibes that will make you chill and have good food while you drink?

Would like to recommend you this place called Piedra Negra, which has good drinks that are unique as well as food, nacho, wings, food for both vegetarian and non vegetarians are available which is yet another plus. 

Personally would recommend getting an outdoor seat so you can also watch others and enjoy the mural outdoors while you drink and chill.

There are other cafes and eateries nearby so you can consider this place after a meal as well. ;)

Tarta del Teide or Piko del Teide is the largest volcanic mountain in Tenerife and Spain! 🌋 🏔️

Already during the landing approach to Tenerife airport the by the way third largest volcano in the world with its 3718 metres of altitude, cannot be overlooked.

🚗 How to go? Best way to go is by car, there are parking spaces. Some tour busses also go there.

🎟️ There is a cable car 🚡 going to the mountain, tickets depend on your age and place of residence, it's around 10€ for one way.

☀️ Bring some sun protection in summer, it can get quite hot and UV density is high.

Ha Long Bay cruise during Backpacking trip to Vietnam in May 2017 with Galaxy cruises
Cost: $135 per person
Extras: $20 for airport pickup, $15 each for immigration letter
We found the cruise online and booked them. We also took visa services from them, they gave us a letter at an extra cost which we had to present to the immigration officer. The immigration officer gave us the visa and charged us $30 for 30 days single entry visa.

We flew from Guangzhou to Ha Noi too early in the morning hence arrived in Ha Noi at around 5am hungry and sleep deprived. Tom from the cruise company picked us up from the airport and served us Vietnamese Tea and Pho which tasted like heaven. Then we proceeded to Halong Bay which was our first experience as soon as we landed in Vietnam. The cruise was 3 days 2 nights and our guide Hang was such a good and knowledgeable person who not only briefed us about the cruise destinations but also the whole country and helped all of us socialize with each other. 

Halong Bay looked so good even in cloudy days, we wondered how great it would look in a sunny day. The cruise was full of fun activities like hiking swimming Tai Chi and cave visit. You would be fully occupied as well as have time for yourself without getting bored for a single second. The food was the tastiest I have had in Vietnam and that would be the first reason I would join on a cruise with them again.
